I got this because I liked the scent and I liked the idea of the profits going to charities. This cream smells like a combo of vanilla, soft florals and there's that nutty note towards the end. I really like it. It's very nourishing and but it does take a little while to absorb, so unless you are freshly scrubbed or got really dry skin, I would recommend using this to layer a bit more moisture over drier parts of your body. I really like using this on the backs of my hands because it keeps them moisturized for longer than if I just used a light hand lotion because I'm typing and don't want a grease spots on my keyboard. Also great for knees and elbows after you get out of the shower. I would repurchase this, after all a small tub is very reasonably priced and the profits go to charity.

Tips: Use on drier spots on your body like knees, elbows when you're straight out of the shower. Also works beautifully on the backs of your hands.
There are SO many things I love about the Lush Charity Pot Body Lotion I barely know where to begin. I guess firstly I adore how by purchasing this lotion you're not only supporting the fantastic causes that Lush throws themselves into, but small charities that really need our help. Just such a great concept, and it helps that the lotion itself is a stunner! Super thick, super luxurious, smooths on like a dream and doesn't leave the skin overly greasy. I'm not obsessed with the scent but I also don't mind it. Definitely improves dry skin quickly, and in that regard is totally worth the price tag. Plus, since this is a black pot product you can bring back five empty containers and swap them for a fresh face mask. I will most likely continue to buy this awesome product for as long as they produce them!
Guys this stuff is AMAZING!!! It smells absolutely divine, not too sweet or over powering, just the perfect hint of that typical Lush scent on the skin. What has made me fall in LOVE with this lotion over anything is how easy it is to rub into your skin. You dont need a lot and it absorbs so quickly but still leaves your skin feeling hydrated & almost a little oily. Not that tacky oily thats annoying more that luxurious touch of oil that when my legs rubs together they just smooth past each other....honestly heaven! To top off this life changing cream is the fact that every time I buy it I am helping someone else.
When I was last in my Lush store, I spotted this. As someone that has dry skin, I'm always looking out for new moisturisers and so when I saw this I quickly grabbed one. I loved that the majority of the money was going into organisations and I'll readily admit that was the point that pushed me to purchase this.
The packaging is the standard Lush pot. On the lid of the one I chose, it had a sticker with a charity that the proceeds of my purchase went towards. The one I chose was for race horses that could no longer race. Being a horse lover, and involved in the raving industry, this was a charity that spoke to me.
As well as being happy that this product benefitted someone aside from myself, I instantly fell in love with this. The product is a creamy off white and has a slight smell of coconut. It smelled delicious (as Lush always does!). Most importantly, this was super moisturising on my dehydrated skin and after using this on my legs for a few days, they started looking fresh and healthy, thanks Lush!
This didn't leave a nasty residue, although it did leave my skin feeling packed full of moisture. The scent lingered slightly on my skin (which I enjoyed). It wasn't difficult to blend into my skin and my skin drank it up.
When I run out of my current moisturiser, I will absolutely repurchase this. It's a gorgeous product and is helping others. I love this and I love Lush. Definitely recommend it!
I bought a large pottle of this from Lush at some stage this year. This is a special product in that Lush donate the proceeds to charity. The only part that doesn't go to charity is the GST. I'm not sure of how many charities benefit from this money but my particular pottle has a sticker on top saying that Hurrah is one of them. I like that this is a NZ organisation, obviously overseas charities need our help too but it's nice to support something here too. As far as packaging goes, this is the same as any other lush lotion. It has a screw top lid and has a little sticker on it saying who made it and when you need to use it up by.
This has lots of great ingredients in it, lots of oils like jojoba and olive plus some cocoa butter. You can tell with just that, that is going to be very moisturising. This is a light off white colour and smells very good. I'm not quite sure what the scent is but it smells sort of like a musky perfume. It's quite warm and inviting. The texture is thick but not as thick as a body butter. You don't need a huge amount and it rubs in pretty easily. Not instantly though. I am enjoying using this on my dry skin now as I feel like it really keeps the dryness at bay. I think this would be the best for winter though. It's warm at the moment but I don't think I'd enjoy using something this rich during the hottest months. This pottle would last me around a month with daily use all over my body. I guess it is expensive so it's not something I'd use all the time but it's nice as a treat and you know the money is going to do good things too so win win really!
I picked up a small one of these when I was on holiday - it was a great size to fit in my bag. I'm so glad that I did - this lotion is incredible.
The texture is fairly light - it's easy to smooth on and you can almost immediately feel it working. It's so light that you don't end up with that weighted feel that you can get from moisturisers, especially when it's humid or hot.
The scent is not something that I'd normally have picked for myself (I'm a vanilla/coconut girl) but I really quickly grew to love it - it's a bit spicy and exotic smelling and I find that it really compliments my perfume rather than overpowering it.
I loved this so much that I bought one of the big pots when I got back to NZ. I love that not only do 100% of the price go to charity, you get to pick the charity! I picked an animal charity, but there are a lot to choose from.
I absolutely recommend this lotion, it's like heaven in a jar :)
I absolutely love Lush products. I usually pick up something every time I go into the store (hence I have stayed away for a while). At one point in time I picked up a wee 10g pot of the Charity Pot Body Lotion. Fantastic wee size to keep in my purse or to take on a plane with you. I love that the proceeds go towards charity so it is a fantastic thing to pick up when you are there. I believe at the time I picked this up the charity was something animal based which I am always happy to support.
The cream itself is really nice. A wee bit like a thicker lotion so you know that it is going to be extra moisturising. It smells lovely with a bit of a cocoa or shea butter scent, maybe a touch of coconut too. Nothing too strong or annoying. This is really nice to smooth over the skin. It does leave a bit of a film or tacky-ness for a wee while after the initial part has sunk in but overall it works quite well. The film goes away after a wee bit (5 - 10 minutes), I'm just quite impatient as I'm not really a big fan of body lotions. This made my skin feel plump and hydrated and those effects lasted quite some time which was great.
If you have super dehydrated skin I think that this would be a fantastic addition to your collection, with the added bonus of the funds going to charity it really makes it a great purchase.
love buying the charity body lotions because portions of the money made goes to whatever the charity of the month is, which i love.
as far as i know the scents change but theyre always delicious. theyre wonderfully thick yet thin enough to spread and they always, ALWAYS rub in so effortlessly and you feel and smell so amazing. used the night before you wake up feeling so soft and the scent still lingers on the skin. its just amazing!
id gladly repurchase this!
I love body lotions I aways have a few on them on the go . For different times of the day. I got a small sized pot to give this a try.
There’s Nothing special about Lush packaging . Consistency is creamy rich and oily. Feels nourishing to my skin . It reminds me of a musky warm scent . It’s inviting. I like to use this all over my body . Soaks into my skin slowly . Does leave oily residue, be careful with it.
After trying this I would repurchase again as a gift for a family member and myself. I’m not sure if lush still sells it . But if they do it’s a goodie if your into this kind of scent and consistency.
I was given this as a gift, and felt very spoilt using it.
The texture of the cream is thick and velvety, it is very easy to smooth into your skin, and leaves it feeling very moisturised. There is no greasy residue, just soft velvety smooth skin.
The fragrance is subtle and delicious, it stays on your skin for quite some time and is really very nice.
There is nothing about this product that I didn't like, I will certainly purchase more when mine runs out, and would buy it as gifts for others.
Feels very luxurious, beautiful to use.
