If you’ve seen any of my other reviews for this brand, you’ll know that I love Mellow Cosmetics! They’re fantastic, their products are awesome, and they’re greatly dedicated to cruelty free makeup. As for these pencils, I’m just going to break up what they’ve said about it themselves. “Our Brow Definer Pencil has a triangular tip” - so easy to use, apply lightly to build a more defined and full brow. It rolls up and down, and one pencil can easily last me several months of every day use. My current one was bought at the start of this year. Still going strong. “Non greasy” - yeah, sure is. “Long lasting” - again, sure is. I apply in the morning and by the end of the night it’s still going strong. No smudging or moving around. I always feel a bit sad rubbing it off because they still look so natural. “Easy to glide on formula” - pretty easy, like I said earlier, apply lightly and build up. “Which will help you outline and fill your brows like an expert” - I’m no pro. I’ve found if I use anything else I tend to look a bit like a clown. These pencils are just such a life-saver for me. “Available in 6 different shades!” - so handy! I’m using Auburn at the moment because I’ve got red hair but the lighter one for blondes was pretty good.

Love this, just finished my first pencil, stayed on all day until makeup off time, non greasy, definitely will be repurchasing
I don't at all know why, but I wasn't expecting much from this product, which I picked up in the August vault.
Low expectations, but within a few uses I was reaching for it quite often over my usual two step routine of brow mascara and a finer pencil. I still go that option for a proper face, but for every day, this is fantastic.
I have black brows, and the shade 'mocha' works nicely to fill them in without it being a solid line of Bert-the-muppet black.
The triangular shape allows for easy shaping, as a small flick of your wrist brings either the point or the flat to the front. The waxy formula transfers easily but also stays well, and cleans up easily with a cotton bud or finger tip if it gets on skin.
Results are natural looking, but still relatively polished, and super simple to achieve.
I'll be repurchasing, and am pleasantly surprised to find something i like for such a good price.
Tips: As always with brows don't go too dark - mocha is perfect for my dark brown hair and virtually black brows.
I picked this up in the last vault and was delighted to find it was the perfect shade for my brows.
It comes in the same style long black rectangular box as several of Mellow's products and the definer is encased in a shiny black plastic with lids at each end.
At one end is a brow brush and at the other end is the crayon, which is triangular tipped, but becomes less so over time when using the crayon. The crayon goes on with a mid-intensity but can be made bolder or softer easily. It is also easy to control and remove.
I found it only just lasted me the day, but that it also gave me the best look in the shortest amount of time.
I would probably try a different brand next time, but would consider repurchasing.
I was lucky enough to pick this up in this vault and just in time too because I had run out of my brow pencil.
It comes in a beautiful box and looks super luxurious. It comes in a wind up triangular shape which is the first time I've used this. I was initially not the biggest fan but I'm getting used to it and quite enjoy the longer strokes it makes.
I like that it's a bit of a drier, waxy consistency, it means it is harder to over apply and get thick, dark eyebrows. I like making small strokes rather than just colouring them in. The drier consistency also helps it last, and I find that it lasts through some showering too which is unheard of for me!
The winding up is effortless and it comes in sleek packaging. I like the spoolie on the end so you can brush it through to reduce harsh lines.
Overall a fantastic brow product, with a good shade range and am definitely repurchasing after I run out!
We were sent this in the shade caramel - too light for my natural brows, but I still had fun trialing it, and have already repurchase in my dark shade!
The triangle tip seems a bit divisive among reviewers. Personally I loved it - it allowed me to pencil and fill in my brows from all angles.
The colour payout is easy to control, from deep and full, to light, feathery flicks. Its easy to blend out with a spoolie if you are a little heavy handed.
The colours lasts until its makeup removing time, but removes easily with minimal rubbing.
Tips: Team with the Mellow Brow Pomade for a striking brow, or use by itself for a more natural look.
The mellow brow Definer is a nice wee product. It has a wind up triangular shaped pencil on one end and a built-in brow brush on the other - super handy. This product is or a much more gentle colour fill than a pomard, so it is really designed to consolidate a already well shaped brow rather than creating a bold sharp "insta" brow. I personally didn't find the triangular shape to be helpful as it dulls very quickly, but it didn't hinder application either. The pencil has quite a waxy texture so I found it best to use a light touch and work in small strokes rather than attempt any bold sharp lines. In terms of price I think it's fair and stands up well to others of the price point. Whilst I don't love this product for myself, I can see using it for my clients who already have s good shape and fullness. Good for a soft brow look.
Tips: To sharpen the finish of your brow, use a concealer and a firm flat brush and run along the outline.
Being someone who overplucked their brows in the thin trend days of the 90’s, I always love a good brow product. There are a few out there but unfortunately in my opinion, this isn’t one of them! The triangular tip just doesn’t do the trick for me and doesn’t give the precise application that I want. It is quite a thick, dry formula which is fine but when applying with a wedge tip, it is difficult to manouvre. At $18 Rrp, I feel there are way easier to apply pencils that deliver a more precise and polished look.
Now I love a good brow pencil and I don't just settle for anything for myself. I really liked the classic black packaging and the winding up and down of the pencil was effortless. The pencil has a triangular tip to suit to which part of the brow you are applying it to which made it very easy to use. The colour glided on very smoothly and a light hand is needed to get great results. I usually like to give myself a natural but semi defined look and I achieved this very quickly and it looked fab! The colour didn't smudge or move all day but can smudge a little if you're a face toucher. You can build up from the nice soft look that looks super natural or a stronger more derfined look quickly and easily. I have used many different brow pencils in the past and I was extremely happy with the look that this pencil gave me. The price point is great and I will definately be recommending this to this to my friends and colleagues.
Tips: Draw in the brows the same way the hair is growing as that will give you a more flawless finish. Make sure to use a brow brush to comb the excess colour out if you accidently put on too much and set with a brow gel so your brows stay amazing all day long.
I have black brows, so I went with the shade chocolate, which is a dark brown shade. The eye brow pencil is retractable on one end and has a brow brush on the other end.
I like that this isn’t a conventional pencil and I’m not loosing any of it to sharpening. It glides on smoothly and very easy to use as well as apply. The eye brown brush makes it easy to blend the formula into my natural eye brows, to help define it and make it look natural.
It’s very affordable, like most of their products and of great quality too.
Tips: Apply lightly and then build it up, to get the right look.
