I started using this product about a year ago as I was having problems with break outs, the problem was I have combination/dry skin, so all the acne face washes I had used in the past were really drying out my skin!!! I was attracted to this product as it is for sensitve skin. I thought I would give it a try and now it's the only cleanser I will use!!!! It really helps my skin stay clear, but doesn't dry my skin out too much. I use in combination with Cetaphil Utra moisturising lotion which really helps too!! big plus!!! I love this stuff. If you have combination skin like mine I would definitely suggest you give it a try! I am sure you will love it, like I do! xxx

Tips: A little goes a long way! :D
I have a love affair with Avene products but after using this product for 2 years I switched to another one of their cleansers and realised just how drying this was. My skin after using it was always sft and clean feeling, and it did drastically reduce my acne and redness. But I would only recommend it if you do not have dry skin or if you have a great hydrater.
I had a full size of this product when I worked in a pharmacy. Avene is a high end brand, and their prices reflect that. I found the cleanser foams up and is for me quite drying. The consistency is nice and it smells pretty good, though I just found it stripped my skin a bit much. I prefer Cetaphil, which is also much cheaper.
I have terrible acne i was recommended this at the pharmacy i used it for a good few months and found it great , made my face feel fresh and removed makeup well! It also got rid of a lot of my acne... Now i am on my 3rd bottle of this product i find it is not working for me at all . It is an expensive product and is not worth me purchasing as it only worked for a short while for me.
I have used this for about a year and a half and it has made my skin so amazing. I wear hardly any foundation compared to wht I sued to to cover up. It was anti irritant properties and soothing properties to keep the skin hydrated and soft while pumpkin seed extract absorbs oil throughout the day. whenever I run out I get pimples!! it removes all traces of makeup and has really helped with my redness and acne. I couldn't live without this.
Tips: I use once to wash off makeup then again to work on my skin.
I love this cleanser! It's very gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling fresh and clean, instead of stripped and tight. It's expensive upfront but lasts for a really long time! It's also gentle enough for use close to the eyes.
Tips: You don't need a lot of product to get a good lather.
At first I loved this cleanser. I would use it in the morning in the shower and felt like it was refreshing and made my skin feel clean. However after about a week I noticed dry patches appearing on cheeks/nose and my skin started to feel tight after I used it. I do get breakouts in my T-zone so I wish this didn't dry out other areas of my face as it is well known for keeping blemishes away but my combination skin just cant cope with it.
Tips: If you are prone to any dryness do not use this product.
I find this cleanser is good for use in the morning. It cleans your skin without stripping but it doesn't give the fresh, deep clean feeling that others do which is what I really love after a long day.
It does do what it says and my skin feels really lovely but I wouldn't reach for it if I wanted a super thorough clean.
I got a sample of this, which lasted quite awhile actually, long enough to convince me that i really loved this product! I loved the smell for starters. After a few uses i noticed my skin clearing up and overall looking nice, Since not using this my skin has gone back to being not so nice, but i cant afford this in full size :(
This soap-free cleanser lathers nicely while gently removing make-up, impurities and excess oil. With a pH of 7.2, it helps minimise the production of excess sebum (oil) by gently cleaning the skin without stripping it of all its natural moisture.
The beautiful turquoise-coloured gel comes in a 200ml clear plastic bottle and contains zinc gluconate which has anti-inflammatory properties, but I was surprise to see that it's made up of 60% Avéne Thermal Spring Water! (supposed to soothe and soften the skin). This explains the expensive price ... the main ingredient is "thermal spring water".
I have a very oily skin and found that it cleansed nicely without leaving my skin feeling tight or dry and it was a little less oily after using the cleanser for a few weeks.
It does a good job of removing most make-up when used on its own and applied with the fingers (no make-up remover used beforehand) but I found that when removing long-wear pencil eyeliner formulas, I needed to use a wash cloth or facial sponge with the cleanser.
Comparing this to other soap-free cleansers that I've tried in the past, this one is very expensive and seems to have less beneficial ingredients than some of the others (no antioxidants, healing Aloe Vera, etc.). Personally, I wouldn't purchase this product again, not for that price.
Tips: Place a small amount of the cleanser onto your palm or a facial sponge and add a little water. Rub your hands together (or rub your fingertips over the sponge) to create a rich later before applying it to your face.
