Thursday Plantation Rosehip Oil

At first the smell was really off putting. It smelt like fish oil, not really something I was looking forward to putting on my face. The instructions left something to be desired, having not used oil before what is "a few drops" 1-2, 3-4,5-6? I put it on as requested morning and night. I have already oily skin so this did concern me a bit however it said it was fine to use on all skin types. after about 5 days of continual use my skin started breaking out and creating oil build up. I lessoned the times that I was applying it so Just at night times. Again it created build up (maybe i was putting it on the wrong areas??) but it didn't really say not to put it on any areas in particular just not on broken skin. I have now discontinued the trial and my skin has returned to normal.

Yes I did find that it did work as I do have a few scars on my face. I did not care for the smell as times it smelt like oil.

After hearing such good comments about Rosehip oil I was dying to try it. I was lucky enough to snap up a bottle from the BR vault. The oil comes in a small 25ml bottle which is a great size to take away but I was worried that it would be used up quickly. That is not the case as a little oil goes a long way. I only need a few drops to cover my whole face. The lid that dispenses the product is a little annoying, you need to give it a good shake onto your hand to get the oil out but it means that you only get a few drops at a time which is good because that is all that you need. The smell of the product is not pleasant but I wouldn't say it's bad either and it is a subtle scent so it's not to overpowering. I have massaged a few drops into my skin on my face every morning and night for the past few weeks. I have oily skin and am very prone to breakouts so I was very scared of putting oil on my face at the beginning however I have found that I actually have less breakouts now. My acne scars are starting to fade and my overall skin tone is becoming much more even. The oil absorbs in to my skin really quickly and has left my skin feeling much more hydrated and softer and it gets rid of any dry patches. This is one of my newest holy grail products which I think that everyone should try.

Ive used this rosehip oil on my entire body except my face. My face is super oily, so best I keep the rosehip oil far away from it.

Appeal and Packaging - The packaging of the oil is great which a dark brown glass bottle so you know the nutrients in the oil is going to maintained. Never trust a rosehip oil is its in a clear glass bottle because when light hits the bottle, the nutrients are destroyed. The bottle is great but I dont like the contraption for pouring out the oil. Its just the top, stuffed with a plastic stopper which makes it almost impossible to get a decent amount of product out of the bottle. I much prefer it when the bottle has a drop dispenser so you can control the amount of oil you want. Lastly, I hate the smell. Its way to earthy and nutty for my liking. I know its natural but the smell prevents me from using the oil during the daytime. I dont want to be offending peoples nostrils in daylight.

Effectiveness - Apart from the smell and the nozzle the oil is amazing. I've been using it over my body and it makes my skin super soft. Baby soft for a better word because my skin always feel youthful and glowing after using this. I use a few drops into a body lotion for an allover body treatment of about 2 drops on a specific area. I have a burn mark on my hand and the oil has been helping to lighten the scar.

This oil works slowly so you have to be patient and keep at it everyday if you want to see results. My burn mark was quite bad so I only started seeing fading in the mark about 2 months after using it and now its 6 months and its improved greatly.

I love that this oil is multi-purpose because it can used to target certain areas and be effective as well as be used for the entire body and still be effective. I love this oil but I think I love the Trilogy rosehip oil alot more as I feel its an oil I can use day and night without and offensive smell and therefore heal any scars much quicker by using it more often.

I had the privilege of reviewing this Rosehip Oil by Thursday Plantation. I had used it sister product Tea Tree Oil and loved it, so had high hopes for this one, and it definitely lives up to its name.

Results - At first I didn't notice anything and felt a bit down about it, but I kept on using it as instructed. Glad I did, because my skin now has a slight glow to it and my skin, especially my cheeks have reduced in redness. Its a bit too early to tell regarding Scars but I have noticed a difference in reduced pores.

The Formula - This is a really nice formula, it comes out a mild yellow/orange colour but don't worry it won't come out like that on your skin, it melts into your skin and leaves it feel soft and radiant looking.

The Bottle - I'm not so fussed on the bottle dispenser to be honest because you have to shake it abit and sometimes it can come out a bit fast and flies everywhere lol. This is the only downside to it, other than that, the bottle size is just perfect, and handy to take away with you.

Final Comment - Definitely a great product and does it what says it does, which sometimes can be quite a rare thing. I believe with continued use, I will keep seeing good results. Will definitely buy this when this runs out.

Well firstly I must say. a little goes a long way. This oil is awesome. I Was using on my face, neck, arms, feet, legs and belly. Pretty much everywhere. It relieved all my dry skin, and reduced dramatically the aging wrinkles around my neck. I have also noticed slight chances to the appearance of wrinkles on my face. My arms were so dry. I am 48 years old, and I am already at the end of menopause, and it has taken its toll on my skin dryness. My arms are so soft now, and my feet especially. Aging is not cool, but so recommend this product. I was so delighted with the results around front of my neck, I couldn't wait to put more on. The smell, eh, not so pleasant, but who cares when it amazing stuff. I also found out that its good for the immune system, cardiovasuclar, and stomach complaints, arthritis and much much more. Do read about it I used a little over a half of the bottle, in that 3 weeks and it just will last and last for ages. LOVE! need i say more? well of course, it is incredible how one completely natural AND organic ingredient can be so amazing! i have super sensitive skin so finding things i can use on my face is more than a mission, but this, ahhhhh it glides on nice and rich and soft and soaks in quick, my skin has been AMAZING! i love putting this on my face every night after a shower, and in the morning too when i remember. i have also been using it on my stretchmarks and scars, and in just over a week i have noticed a slight improvement in some of my stretch marks!! and very exciting i cant wait to use it on my soon to be expanding baby belly to try and prevent any more stretch marks! (another bonus i dont need to stress about what nasty chemicals may be hiding that could harm and affect my growing bub) who needs bio oil,this stuff is the magic!! My skin has been so soft and actually less sensitive, i think the oil is giving it a protective barrier, it also moisturizes beautifully! and despite what you may think, even though it is an oil, no spots or pimples :) extra bonus! It has quite a rich thick oil scent to it, but i personally love that, i love how natural it is. so in love, i think is my new all over wonder product!!! i will definitely be getting more! i have tried other brands but this is by far the richer, thicker, smoother oil. I have been using this each night, I was a bit scared to use it in the morning before heading out for the day due to it being so oily. I do like how hydrating it is , it goes on nice and easy and I think its a great for a night moisturiser. Its hard to tell if its making any difference to my uneven skin tone but I'm happy to keep using and find out!

I absolutely love rose hip oil and to be honest, most brands are exactly the same as they are generally all 100% rosehip oil. What makes each brand stand out to me is the packaging and this one wasn't the best.

I found that because this bottle didn't have a suction dropper but instead the more typical essential oil kind of packaging it was really hard to get out. Because of this I tend to use it mainly on my arms so i can give it a good tap against the skin. If you're all about using just a little at a time then this would be a great product for you but if you like to have more control and be able to dispense the amount you require each time i'd go for one with a dropper,

The oil itself is amazing, as I said its 100 % Rosehip so hard to go wrong. I apply this on any areas of dry skin or places which have scarring and it very quickly moisturises these areas and with use over a longer period clearly minimises scarring,

I love Rosehip oil now and don't think I could go without it. This should be a staple in every girl beauty routine.

This oil is beautiful smelling and really light. It's nice to put on your skin, and I used it quite a bit on my hands and cuticles. I didn't notice any real differences to my skin, but that might come over time. The small bottle makes it a little inefficient to use on your face and I didn't find it as nourishing as plain old coconut or olive oil. It is however, much lighter than both of those. I used a bit of it on some surgical scars as well. It would take quite a while, I assume, to make much difference to my scars appearance, but it felt really lovely. I'm going to keep using it and see if my opinion of it changes at all.
