Me and my mum love this soap. Its gentle on my skin but gives it a thorough clean and transforms the bathroom into an aromatic heaven. They have a range of other beautiful scented soap as well, including coconut, lavender and minty one just to name a few
Tips: If you're ever at your local bin in, they sell them in larger bars without the packaging. More bang for your buck and better for the environment!
These soaps are lovely and the scents (my fave is the lemongrass and the lavender/honey goats milk which might be discontinued now?) they are nice and creamy but not particularly strongly scented or astringent. Would be great for a natural alternative to baby products for young children too.
A couple years back I knitted some natural cotton face cloths and intended to give nature inspired eco friendly gifts to my family coupled with eco store soaps and a few other goodies for xmas......... Lets just say my family and friends never saw those gifts because we fell in love with them ourselves and have used eco store soaps ever since.
I found that the soaps are not as drying on my skin as other soaps. They have a good lather and they smell amazing. The lemongrass soap is my favourite as it is the strongest scented and I adore citrus! Closely followed by the grapefruit/mint.
The price is expensive for 1 cake of soap, however we tend to use shower gels in the shower so we keep the soap on the basin for washing our hands, or in reserve if the body wash runs out.... It is worth the $$ and who doesn't enjoy a little feel-good luxury item.
I would definitely recommend this soap as a good natural alternative that is not harsh on your families skin.
.
Tips: I will never go back - my family is converted.
Seriously - next time you are at the supermarket, pick up the lemongrass eco store soap packet, give it a sniff and just try to resist it.
This is a lovely invigorating soap - I first tried it when the supermarket had a special on it. Now I keep a close eye out for those specials. It lathers nicely, & your skin feels clean but not dried out. It's a great smell in the morning too.
Tips: There is also a yummy vanilla, and a coconut - both worth a try.
I started using this Eco Store soap when I got a really bad case of dermatitis on my hands. My hands were red, sore and inflamed and i initially struggled what to use on them.
Not knowing what hand wash was causing my flare up I decided to switch to bar soap instead, and thought Eco Store would be the perfect choice.
I love the simple, no fuss and natural looking packaging, which is distinctive of all Eco Store products. Also being a New Zealand company, that cares about the environment is a plus for me. The packaging is recyclable which is great too.
The soap itself has quite a strong fragrance, but it leaves my hands smelling fresh and lovely.
I feel like this soap really cleanses my hands well, and after using this my hands feel much more moisturised, as they are prone to dryness. My hands feel silky soft after using this, which is a definite plus.
After using this for a week my hand dermatitis finally disappeared, as I think the hand wash was causing issues with my hands. Therefore, this soap is extra gentle and leaves my hands feeling lovely and hydrated.
I have repurchased ths soap many times as it really works for me.
Would definitely recommend to anyone with sensitive type skins.
I use the Ecostore Lemongrass soap all the time. It smells fantastic, clean and refreshing. The bar is just the right size for my click clack container to take to the gym each day. It soaps up well and does not dry out my skin. The price is good with no nasty chemicals and made in NZ. The packaging is not glamorous but simple and recyclable. It ticks all the boxes for me.
I love Ecostore products, this soap is NZ made with no nasty chemicals. The Lemongrass scent is lovely and this soap can be bought at supermarkets often on special.
Tips: Lovely as a part of an Ecostore gift pack.
I use soap in the shower as well as shower gel & anything too harsh dries out my skin. I thought I would try this as it is natural & made in New Zealand & I now don't buy any other soap since discovering this. It has the added bonus of being eco friendly but the other aspects are important too - it is mild but does the trick, smells divine, lathers really well but washes off easily & the packaging is recyclable. Ps I much prefer the coconut but great it is available in other 'flavours' too. PPs - Please bring the coconut one out in a multi-pack too as it would make it a bit cheaper!
I love this soap. The scent is very refreshing and lemony, and it is so moisturising. The soap lathers smoothly on the skin, and is gentle which is perfect for sensitive skin. Best of all, it's made in NZ and packaged in environmentally friendly packaging, so I feel good about using it too.
