Doesn't live up to the hype

Not really a fan of this. I don't like the smell of it, it's very chemical smelling. I only every use it as a lip balm as it's rather sticky and I wouldn't want that stickiness on any other area. I didn't find it moisturized or improved the condition of my lips any more than your standard lip calm. It is pricey but lasts ages as you only need the tiniest amount at a time. I would definitely pick another more natural lip product over this.

I love eight hour cream

I love the stuff I always keep a small tube with me, it works wonders for my lips just as good as blistex, also good on dry patches I sometimes get near my eyebrows and cheek, doesn't affect my sensitive skin either

8 hour cream

I think the product is great and it does what it says it will do BUT I really don't like the smell of it and I don't like how sticky it is. I use it on any dry skin I have but wouldn't use it on my face or lips because of the smell.

Best 'go to' Moisturiser for bedtime.

I was introduced to this product when I was given a bag of goodies from the Dermatologist when I was put on Roaccutane about 15yrs ago.

It comes in a tube or occasionally they sell it in a small glass jar. I preferred to use the tube as I tended to use too much when I used the jar. The smell is very "average" but not unpleasant. If you are looking for something flowery you won't like this but it also comes in a fragrance free version which would be better.

It is quite greasy so you don't need to use much. Warm the small amount on your fingertips before applying to your skin. It is also great as a lip balm and if you have had a bit too much sun during summer.

I wouldn't like to use this during the day as it does feel rather greasy on the skin so I only use it after I have cleansed my skin at night so it absorbs during the night.

Very inexpensive for such a great product for people with sensitive or dry skin. I have oily skin and it is still ok on mine.

Tips: Only use a small amount, warm it on your fingers before applying to face. Great as a lip moisturiser.

Eight Hour Cream

You can't go wrong with this product. I use it on dry skin, or put it on my lips over night to wake up with them feeling so soft and moisturised, with all dry spots gone. The smell is quite overpowering, but manageable, and this product is also good for sensitive skin. I do find the product quite think so it has to be used in small amounts.

8hr Cream

This is by far the best balm I've used. I started using it while I was taking acne med Roaccuatne - it dries your skin and lips out like crazy!

I had tried a lot of balms before using this and they worked well but none actually lasted this long on my skin. The taste is a little bitter and the texture is a bit gluggy but I still love it and would still highly recommend it. You only need the tiniest amount so a little goes a long way. I had used it every night for up to 6 months and still had over half a tube left, so it's well worth the purchase in my opinion!

Elizabeth Arden- Every woman needs a tube of this!

When I was invited to review the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream I was absolutely thrilled to be one of the chosen ones. I checked my mailbox everyday patiently waiting for my package to arrive. Once it came I had to use it straight away! The tube is very stylish and feminine looking, when I opened the tube it was something that I had never smelt before, it smells like Citronella candles! It took me a few days to get used to the smell but now I don't notice it anymore. The texture is thick and creamy but it has a lighty greasy texture to it. Before receiving my 8 hour cream I did some research on what I could use my cream on but I will only tell you my favourites:

1. On my feet! Rubbing this on the soles of my feet right before I go to bed, they have become smooth and so soft, my feet have never looked better! Since its been hotter I have been wearing my Jandles more and I notice my feet are more dry, 1 week of using this they are nearly as soft as my 9 month olds feet!

2. On the tips of my hair. Now Ive been taking this cream in my handbag, basically everywhere I go, and there are times when Im out I can feel the ends of my hair are dry and dabbing the cream on my hair perks it up and makes it look healthy and glossy in times where Ive needed to spruce it up. Its also great for adding to the fly aways in the front of your hair when you tie your hair in a ponytail.

3. Eyebrows. The cream keeps them perfectly in place, just like eyebrow gel but without making your eyebrow hairs stiff.

4. After waxing. Usually when pamper myself, the areas that I wax get irritated and quite angry but after applying this after I was it gives a soothing feel to the areas and I noticed when I waxed my eyebrows and I applied some cream to it within half an hour you couldn't tell I had just waxed which is not usually the case for me!

5. Burns. I took my kids out to Bounce and Beyond and we suffered some burns from going down the bouncy castles (Ouch) applying the cream to the burns made them less painful and easier to manage, my daughter loved the smell of it too!

6.Eyelashes. On days where Ive needed to rush about Ive applied some 8 hour cream to my eyelashes and they make them look so healthy and shiny, I love the gloss it gives them.

Overall nearly 1 tube empty, and soft baby feet might I add, I am thrilled to have tried this product, I wish I had brought some a lot sooner, the smell took a bit to get used to which is why Im happy that they also sell a fragrant free 8 hour cream which I will be buying, this stuff is amazing and I recommend it to all woman of all ages.

Tips: After waxing rub a small amount of 8 hour cream onto the waxed areas, it will soothe the area and get rid of any wax residue left over. Also applying to your feet before bedtime, rub a good amount on your feet and go to bed with some socks on, your feet will feel amazing!

Amazing review! I have heard so much about this 'cult' product, but didn't really know what the deal was. Thanks for providing so many tips on it's use, I think I have to put this on my beauty 'wish list'!

Works well but funny scent

This product is perfect for cracked lips and really dry skin. I use it especially in the winter when my skin gets really dry. It works really well, but can be a little bit greasy. For this reason, I wouldn't use it as a hand cream as it doesn't absorb very quickly. It also has a fairly strong scent, which I don't mind too much but can see it being a problem for some.

Tips: Only a small amount is needed at a time - best used on really dry lips

magic

It works like magic. I suffer from terribly dry hands and with constant hand washing it strips the oils but I put this on overnight and it was instant results. I couldn't believe that this could help my dry flaking hands and I have super sensitive skin and it worked perfectly with no bad results

Holy Grail

I get INSANELY dry lips as well as a few spots of exzema, this is a miracle worker. You can use it for several things, but i use it mostly as a lipbalm. Its quite lipid based-so fatty consistency a bit like Lucaspawpaw in a way, but better. Works wonders and far better than other lipbalms, also your lips dont get that addicted thing where they eventually become dry from using the procudt too much. Will repurchase again and again. Some people dont like the smell-it doesnt bother me, but if it does there is a fragrance free version. Will last you forever so great investment.
