I do very much like Lime Crime. I used these lipsticks years ago before they became super popular and always was impressed with the cutesy packaging, the pretty range of colours and the fabulous opaque rich pigmented colour pay off. Any shade of lippy you want, you can find and they are a dream to apply. I find they dont dry your lips out and last very well.

Tips: As with all rich pigmented lipsticks the best thing to do is make sure your setting your lipstick up to last! Apply concealer around the mouth and apply your lipstick with a brush, this will ensure perfect shape and longer wear!
I only own Airborne Unicorn which is a lovely pinky-lilac shade, I like the colour and it suits my skin tone so I will continue to use it however I don't think it is as great as it hyped up to be. The particular shade I have is very creamy, opaque and has good colour payoff however, it only lasts a couple of hours which is fine but for the price I'd expect a bit more. It has a pleasant scent, it smells slightly of vanilla? I'm not sure that I'd purchase again unless I got a colour on sale, I feel like I spent my money on packaging rather than an amazing product.
I have never tried lipsticks as pigmented as the Lime Crime ones. They are intense so I wouldn't recommend them to girls just starting out using make up.
I LOVE the packaging- it is just so gorgeous, no other brand compares, plus they are vegan and cruelty free. The lipsticks have a lovely vanilla scent that isn't too overpowering. I don't carry these lipsticks round in my bag as they can get quite affected by warm temperatures. I have Geradium and Babette. I love wearing Geradium on special occasions as it is such a gorgeous bright colour. I was worried Babette would wash me out as most nudes do as I am very fair, however the peach tones seem to work for me so i'm excited I finally have a nude colour that suits me. I do wish this lipstick was easier to apply. The lips need a lot of prep work as it is such a thick lipstick formula so you need a smooth base. I do find the colour to be quite long lasting even when eating/drinking. I try and put one thin layer on that really sinks into my lips and then another thicker coat of the lipstick on top to get the best application.
Tips: Using a scrub on your lips and a lip balm before applying this lipstick is a must if you want it to look as nice as possible.
i find with the Lime Crime lipsticks they are quite hydrating and long lasting, with rich pigmented colours. No running or smudging and comes with the cutest container. And the one thing that will keep me buying Lime Crime products for years to come is that they are Vegan and cruelty free which is FANTASTIC!
Tips: A little goes a long way!
I always thought that this brand would be another that didnt live up to its hype, I was hesitant about trying them as im a proud stinge and these were out of my price range, But after seeing one of my good friends wearing coquette i bit the bullet and bought Glamour 101 which has to be the most flattering red i have ever owned.
After that i was hooked, I now own Poisonberry and Babette and Geradium and will be purchasing more in the near future because i love them!
I love the purple tampon packaging, they really stand out in my acrylic holders and i find myself reaching for them all the time.
The vanilla essence scent they have is a little strong and sometimes in the mornings i find it to be TOO strong but its not a problem. eventually you cant even smell it anymore.
Some of the colours are more drying and some are quite creamy, for example babette and geradium i find to be creamy, but glamour 101 and poisonberry are creamy then they dry, i guess this is so they stay on longer and yes the lasting power is really great. Poisonberry is quite a bunchy lippie though, just a heads up.
My one big problem with limecrime lippies is the misleading swatches online, Colours always look lighter, darker, pinkier, richer and sometimes more pastel than they are in real life. the colour is still very similar but maybe not quite what you were expecting I suggest googling swatches before you purchase.
First of all! I might get a few thumbs down for this but someones gotta say it. I bought two of these on a whim from Cosmic and for $60 (both) i expected them to be amazing!! Well i guess they are but thats not where I was kinda ehhhhh. From cosmic's light, these lipsticks look so good but from a natural light, (maybe its just personal preference), i found these a little.. too much. These are hard to pull off unless you have white as snow teeth, perfect lip shape, no dryness or fine lines on the lips and if you have (pardon me) light skin tone. For a girl like me who has olive/tan skin, these were so overwhelming, like when you first look at me, the first word that would pop up in your head would be LIPSTICK. These were opaque which was good but it was hard to sheer it out! They are a bit drying, i love the smell though. Maybe I'm just not brave enough to wear these out. I did wear them around the house for a few hours and when i went to eat and drink they were on my chin. Imagine if i was in a restaurant. Im sorry but just not for me.
The colours of Lime Crime lipsticks are like no other, the pastels to be found in no other store, and the formulas creamier than any brand I've used before. Unfortunately this does mean they tend to transfer, and due to the uncommon shades it's difficult to find lip liners that suit. I choose not to wear these when I'll be eating or drinking much as the reapplying does become a bit tedious. Aside from that, they are beautiful - I never go a day wearing them without being complimented and asked where to purchase.
Tips: Google the Lime Crime colour chart, this will help you decide which shades will suit your skin tone as they're not all suitable for everyone (unless you're really daring). Bear in mind they do wear off fairly quickly so I would stray away from wearing them to lunch dates or dinners.
I brought my first Limecrime lipstick today and needless to say I love it! I got the colour Babette and it is the most gorgeous colour and very complimentary with my pale skin and light hair. I love how creamy they feel and how pigmented they are and they are super long wearing even when eating and drinking.
I have 5 of the limecrime opaque lipsticks (geradium, coquette, great pink planet and Centrifushia) and they are very opaque and pigmented! They last a very long time and do not fade in a horrible way. They are very creamy, and unfortunately due to the creaminess my Coquette melted. The colours are all very unique and are not what you would expect from a regular makeup brand. Limecrime is great for people that love to take risks with makeup and are very confident in what they wear.. Because these colours are very bold!! These lipsticks are very easy to apply and create nice colour mixes! I have never run out of a lime crime lipstick and I wear then often!
Centrifuchsia- is a lovely bright fuchsia pink. Great Pink Planet - is very very light, comparable to MAC's Saint Germain. Probably my least favourite and least worn colour by lime crime geradium is a neon peachy pink! A lovely spring/summer combo! Makes your lips stand out. Coquette - is a lovely Jude that would suit a large variety of skin colours! Creamiest formula out of all of them in my opinion.
Tips: Would not recommend as a first lipstick brand.
My all time favourite lipstick brand. The colours are bold and different it has a lovely thick and creamy texture. It photographs amazing, the fact that it's vegan friendly is awesome. It is a little pricey but well worth it. This brand is a must have if you like bold and vibrant lips or if your like me and like different colours.
Tips: If you get the lighter colours like yellow apply blot reapply and then apply finishing powder.
