I’m not going to lie, when I opened this package to review I was disappointed! The brush felt too light and cheap! BUT it’s actually amazing. The first couple of strokes I thought - nope the bristles are too flimsy but then I realised they were in fact getting all the knots and tangles out effortlessly! The bristles seem slightly longer than standard and they really do the trick but somehow magically painlessly! The lightweight black brush has the odd maze design which is to lend to the flexibility but I’m not sure if it does make any difference or perhaps that’s what helps to make it pain free. I normally dread brushing my hair because it gets super knotty just looking at it and it hurts but now 5 strokes and it’s totally knot free! Now I just need the mini for my handbag!

Reviews
I have trialed the TanglePro and loved it. I didn’t really know what to expect from the TanglePro 3D because of its unusual design and I couldn’t clearly see how the bristles looked like. Nonetheless, I was excited to be chosen to trial it.
I was surprised with how light the TanglePro 3D, it was practically weightless. I’ve let my hair grow super long over the year, so I have a lot of hair to maintain. I thought the lightweight of the brush will be too flimsy for my hair, but I was wrong. It actually made it easier to brush out my hair knots and left my hair feeling soft. Usually whenever I brush my hair there is a whole lot of clump left on my brush and that wasn’t the case with the TanglepPro, there were only couple of strands. The design of the brush also makes it easier to clean out the hair stuck in it. The brush was very gentle on my scalp and it felt like a massage every time I used it.
It works great on wet hair as well, I brushed my hair with it just before I blow dried my hair. My hair looked smoother after it dried. I definitely recommend it and it will be handy for most hair lengths, especially for very long hair.
Tips: Clean out the hair strands stuck in the brush after every use.
I have quite thick wavy hair so it takes forever to untangle in the shower, however with this brush I find it much easier. I prefer to use it on dry hair before a shower so I can take my time with it, the flexible shape of the brush makes it almost mould to my head and the bristles give a nice scalp massage!
Another handy thing is that the gaps in the base of the brush make it easy to remove hairs from between the bristles. Overall I'm very pleased and find it much nicer to use than a regular brush.
Tips: If you have wavy/curly hair don't brush until you are about to wash your hair (unless you want ridiculous frizzy hair!)
I had been eyeing out a Tangle Teezer for ages and finally bought one last year, so when I saw another detangler - with a handle - up for review I had to be in for the chance to trial it!!
When I first saw it, I thought it looked like a regular brush and was apprehensive it would be able to detangle my mess of frizz and curl as the design makes it seem quite flimsy. However, when I used it I was pleasantly surprised! The 'maze' design really moves with your scalp giving a great massage and getting all the hair in one stroke.
The handle makes it a much easier brush to use (compared to the palm held Tangle Teezer) and made doing my toddlers hair easier - she also didn't pull away when brushing as the 3D design makes it almost impossible to push too hard.
Only downside it is quite bulky so is not a handbag staple, so I leave this one in my hair kit at home and have a travel TT for my bag.
I didn't think a hairbrush would ever be this exciting to me. My hair brushes quickly and easily - even after going for a walk at lunchtime in Wellington which would normally give me dreadlocks and a resulting 10 minutes of pain as I try and ease a brush through. The brush is extremely light and it looks a bit strange, but once you try it you'll forgive the weirdness. It's slightly curved, with 1 inch bristles and molds to the shape of your head. Just a few brush strokes is enough. It works just as well on wet hair as it does on dry hair, no tugs, no pulling.
Tips: gives a really good head massage too.
The Mita TanglePro 3D Detangling Brush is not only of compelling look, but of amazing design. I tried if both on my hair (thin and long), as well as my daughters (thick and long), and it works wonders. It feels really light and works on wet or dry hair. Due to the flexibility of the brush and the bristles, your scalp gets a massage every time you brush, and it makes your hair beautifully shiny. I would like to try the smaller travel size, because this brush is quite big in size.
Tips: Use regularly to massage your scalp and make your hair shiny.
Move over all those other detangling brushes Mita has set a new benchmark!
This brush has a unique design which works with your hair and scalp simultaneously. The bristles are a good length and as they aren't too close together it allows the hair to slide through with ease. The open maze helps with styling your hair whilst using the hair dryer. I was worried that this brush was too flimsy however after using it I was proved wrong, it is lightweight, the paddle curves with your scalp and as the base is flexible it allows for some movement.
I have shortish hair with waves and can use this brush while still keeping my style. An added bonus is that this brush gently massaged my scalp hence I didn't want to stop brushing my hair :-) Both of my daughter's have used another detangling brush which now fails to compare to this one. My youngest girl has long curly hair and didn't think it had done the job till she checked, it's simply a breeze to use. While my eldest girl has long thick hair and said it's the Best Brush Ever for doing her hair after a shower and that the brush is hers now lol. I will be buying more to save arguments as they both love it :-)
These brushes also come in a purse size which would be perfect for sleepovers and camping etc.
Tips: Perfect for gifts at parties or for Santa to add to your stocking!
I was really excited to be chosen for this trial. I’ve never owned a tangle teaser brush before . I’ve always been curious about them. My hair type is thick and long . I’ve never really had a brush last long , the bristles tend to break after a month or so.
Packaging wise this brush is made of thick plastic soft rubber to touch is smooth. Each bristle is quite thin with this maize design . Application wise normally I have to brush in short strides to get through my hair . This just flows straight through like a knife to butter . Each brush feels invigorating.
Overall I was amazed at how light weight it feels. I was surprised at how this brush flowed through my hair so softly and calmly. Normally brushing is a task . Normally I’m in tears when I’m brushing my hair .Not with this baby. Thanks BR ! A plus for me. Highly Recommend trying it.
I wonder if I got a knock off or if I was trying the real thing. My sister has a pink one and a gave it a go. I think it was okay in terms of perhaps slightly less snagging and I guess it would be better to use this instead of an ordinary brush if you could not find a wide tooth comb but honestly I think just like other detangling brand brushes it is an over hyped fad. the brush looks interesting but could be easily broken perhaps given the gaps. The advantage of the gaps would be perhaps you are able to get more volume or help damp hair dry a but quicker as you brush because the gaps could in theory help provide airflow to / through your hair as you use it. The hole in the end is ideal for hanging but who does that at home? it seems more to hang on the shelf at the shop before you buy it. Unsure if this helps with less breakage. I do not hate this I just do not think it is amazing and a bit over priced
Tips: ideally do not brush your hair wet and always be gentle
I've been a huge fan of the wet brush for years. I have several around my house including a couple in my handbag but they are really hard to find in New Zealand so I was quite excited at the prospect of picking the mita in farmers or in a pharmacy.
The brush is quite light. It's not heavy to use and the bristles are spread pretty far apart. After using it on my dry hair it does a good job at detangling but it felt very hard and not at all flexible.
My hair was shiny afterwards and not very frizzy but I didn't enjoy the hardness of the bristles on my soft scalp. I'll keep using this but unlikely will be a repeat purchase.
Tips: Don't use this on wet hair! Great for detangling on dry hair but be very very gentle.
