Mita TanglePro 3D Detangling Brush Review

I sat this morning brushing my hair for a whole 10 minutes, this brush is so incredibly blissful it ain't even funny!!!!!

The first thing I noticed about the TanglePro was the weird design, at first glimpse I thought it was one of those IQ puzzles haha. When I got my hands on the brush I noticed that it is really light and I thought there was no way it was going to make its way through my thick mop....But it did, pretty easily too. It took a few mildly painful tugs to get through the knotts but It did make relatively quick work of them. The brush Its self has a large paddle that is slightly curved from the centre out so it fits to my scalp perfectly and the bristles are strong but with just enough movement in them to give THE BEST hairbrush scalp massage EVER.

One thing that I did notice in regards to getting the knots out was after I have brushed my hair, the brush has hardly any hair strands in it. My hair normally gets so matted and knotty because of the length and also that it is highly bleached its prone to tangles. My normal tangle teezer style brush usually look like a cats coat after i'm finished, with loads of broken snapped bits of hair, but looking at the tanglepro there might be one strand of hair afterwards! So it actually manages to get the knots out with minimal breakage which a huge tick for me. Think I found my new favourite hairbrush

This brush is the best detangling brush I’ve ever tried. And I’ve tried a few. Let me set the scene for you - I have pretty thick hair! So does my daughter, but I decided to use this brush on my hair only as we prefer to keep our hairbrushes separate in this household. But this detangling brush is so exceptional, I’ve decided to buy my daughter one of her own! I’m going to buy her the smaller, purse-sized one so we can tell the difference, as the purse-sized one is a different shape to the one I have.

I’ve used this detangling brush on my hair when it’s been both wet and dry, and it works equally well in both cases. It’s not a styling brush, so once I’ve used it to gently detangle my hair, then I style my hair using my regular hairbrush. But styling my hair is now so much easier after using this magical Mita TanglePro 3D detangling brush.

As a detangling brush, it is just perfect. It does the job so well that my hair ends up feeling smoother and much more under control, but without any of the usual pain or drama that sometimes goes with detangling thick hair! It’s just a shame I had to wait 43 years to find a brush like this! Better late than never though, I suppose.

It is also super soft and the pins don’t dig into the scalp like so many other detangling brushes I’ve tried. So it’s very comfotable and brushes through my hair easily and gently. Plus my scalp feels like it’s getting an ever-so soft massage in the process, which is a bonus!

I must admit that it surprised me a little just how flexible the base of this brush is - I thought it might break because it seemed so flimsy. But I think it’s precisely this flexibility in the design that makes this brush such a good detangler - the base doesn’t work against your hair, it kind of bends and moves with your hair, while the pins do their job, gently working their way through any tangles. And it’s the comfort factor and the effectiveness of this brush that has me raving about it and vowing to get my daughter her own as well.

Thick hair doesn’t have to be such a curse anymore with this godsend of a brush! But I’d recommend it not just to those with thick hair, but actually to anybody with hair (although that rules my hubby out, ha!).

This brush definitely does a fine job detangling and smoothing my hair, and the fact that it does it so gently and painlessly as well means it gets the full five kisses from me!

Okay I am so excited to write this. Quickly I'll explain that my hair is wild. I have extremely thick and curly hair, length down to my bum. I only brush it once a week with a container load of conditioner as it is Always always always knotty and painful. I have one of those tangle teasers...despite not hurting i find that just glides over top of my knots and doesnt untangle anything. BUTTTTT BEAUTY REVIEW SENT ME THIS BRUSH TO REVIEW AND OMGGGG I'm literally shocked. I havent brushed my hair in 3 days and washed it this morning without brushing in the shower so I could test it out. The brush glided through my hair and stopped on the knots so I could quickly and gently get them out. It literally only took 1 minute to brush my whole head vs 10 mins of pain. The brush is curved so is like the shape of your head and the bristles move with your hair instead of yanking your scalp off at every tangle. the open back means that you can also brush and blow dry it straight as well. THIS BRUSH HAS IT ALL. For us curly knotty girls I am absolutely 100 percent recommending!!!!

I own at least six detangling brushes, ranging from around $6 to the gold-standard $30 Tangle Teezer. The reason being that I have fine hair that can tangle, but mostly because the other female in the house has fine hair and a lot of it, and brushing it is a constant battle due to the knots.

The 3D aspect of this brush was interesting - and on receiving it the daughter was intrigued by the design. I tried it first and seriously thought it was doing nothing - I could not feel ANYTHING. I went and watched myself in the mirror as I brushed my hair and was blown away when the brush sank into my head of hair and went through the length without issues. I was sold for me, but the daughter?

This is where the brush came into its own. She had knots galore. The kind I would usually cut out. I brushed her hair and dealt effortlessly to the usual knots without a single complaint - a feat in itself. The really bad ones? More effort was required, but they eventually came out (she had dried slime matting her hair) without the need for scissors.

Being an avid detangler fan I feel I can say this is the BEST detangler I've ever used.

I have long, thick hair and while a detangler is an essential, I've tried several and none tick ALL of the boxes. The biggest downfall is the depth of the bristles. They never seem quite long enough to brush down my hair, right to the scalp - I always have to work in small sections.

The Mita TanglePro 3D has inch long plastic bristles, twice the size of the detanglers in my house. The head of the brush is a pretty standard size for a paddle brush, I can brush my entire head in 5 strokes.

The head is curved to hug the scalp - this works really well to ensure you're getting a deep brush.

The 'maze' design offers flexibility and allows the brush to shape to your hair thickness and scalp. It gives the brush its 3D brushing technique.

The brush is super light and easy to hold but doesn't feel flimsy.

I've used it on wet and dry hair, and it detangles and brushes quickly and easily.

I will definitely be purchasing the smaller size for my kid's hair!
