I found this product to not really do what it said it would do. I would apply it on top of my foundation but found that it would leave me looking quite pale - almost like I hadn't put any foundation on. I then also tried applying it before my foundation but this made my make up look quite cakey, unfortunately this product was not what I was after!

I bought this because I had never used a setting powder before. So when I saw it was translucent I figured I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately it makes me look really really pale, and completely undoes all the work my foundation does. I also tried using it just for setting under my eyes, but it is the same problem there too. It really does stand out. My friend who has a much darker skin tone that me, has also been using it under her eyes while here, and it is even more obvious on her. luckily its cheap, so it doesn't matter too much that I don't like it. Its nice and soft, doesn't feel chalky or anything, just doesn't do it for me. I have read other reviews by people who love it, I guess I am just one of the ones who it just doesn't work out for.
Tips: blend buff and blend some more.
I love this powder. I use this all over my face to set my foundation etc. I find that it gives me a nice glow and helps to cover any imperfections that might still show through my foundation. It is great under my eyes as you do not notice my dark circles.
I apply this with the e.l.f kabuki brush as it is really soft and gentle and gives the powder a good even coverage. The powder is white and blends well over my face but you do not want to put too much product on as it will make your face whiter.
The powder comes in a large bulky square container with a powder puff inside. The sifter inside has quite large holes and because I don't use the puff or keep it in the container I get a bit of product spillage when you open the container. I usually only slightly open the container and just move my brush over the powder that comes loose. I get plenty of product to cover my face doing this.
You get a large amount of powder in this container and you only need to use a small amount. the container will last you for ages and ages. It is great value for money and something that I will continue to purchase in the future.
Tips: Do not apply too much as it can make you look whiter. Also apply with a brush and not the puff it comes with.
I was reluctant to try this product as I had read a lot of mixed reviews about it, but decided to try it anyway. When I first applied it I noticed it made my skin look significantly paler, which isnt what I want as I am already practically a ghost. It sets face makeup nicely, but I found it to be quite drying, and it made my skin feel weird. I hate the packaging because as you open it the powder goes everywhere which is a pain; however the powder puff is nice and you get heaps of product. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product as I believed there are much better powders out there.
Absolutely love this powder, it's light, fine and really blurs and blends my makeup to a flawless base. The container isn't the fanciest, it's quite cheap looking and feeling. It has a powder puff inside which I use more as a plug as the sifter has such big holes. I do like the big holes though as I don't have to fluff about getting product out. I use a finishing spray on top to set the powder and brush and flatten any peach fuzz as powder can sometimes accentuate this. All in all I feel that it's very compatible with my smashbox and makeup forever loose he powders
Tips: Use a large clean fluffy brush and a setting spray to settle any powder that's accentuating peach fuzz
I sooooooo wanted this to be a H. G product to replace every other powder. This was lovely to buy $, lovely to look at , lovely to apply. Then a while later (individual reaction obviously) my face felt so tight and sore. I had to apply moisturiser a few times during the day as I was at work as I couldn't remove the whole coverage..where has her face gone? SO I was saddened by my faces reaction. But I will try it again on a day where I can do a clean off straight away to make sure it wasn't a combination of particular products. Has anyone else had this experience with only this product? Theres still hope, its still on the dresser waiting for me.
Tips: Experiment with new products on the weekend.
This is a great HD powder. I have purchased this twice and it always lasts a long time, you don't need much product. I have changed up my makeup routine and now I only use this under my eyes sometimes as it's very finely milled and helps with under eye creasing from concealer. I did love to use it as an all over setting powder before though. Made my skin look flawless and poreless and set my makeup beautifully. Don't know if I would repurchase again as I don't have as strong a need for it, but it is a good product!
There is so much powder in this container and it comes with its own puff! It is so easy to apply and makes your skin look smooth and flawless. The only down side I had was I have a bit of a hairier face and the powder made it stand out quite a bit more rather than masking it. Other than that it is an easy light powder to use.
I'll start with the bad - throw away the sifter thingy in the top and the puff it comes with, they're rubbish. Also rubbish is the actual container it comes in, it's big, hard to open and close and just cheap looking.
Once inside however I find the product to be pretty good at setting my makeup and I have an oily T zone. Probably wouldn't recommend it for really oily skin over summer as it may not be heavy duty enough to last the day.
I like to apply this with the RT duo fibre brushes as they give a really light application, which is good as this powder will make you look paler esp if you don't blend it in well enough.
The best thing about this powder is the "blurring" effect. My skin looks quite a bit softer and younger after use, it actually helps tone down the fine imperfections.
So, thumbs up e.l.f, it's a good product that I can see my self repurchasing.
Tips: Use a duo fibre brush for light application.
If you've gone crazy on the blusher or your foundation is too dark for you, this will help make it less noticeable.
Applied this powder over my foundation to set and it made my face look so pale! I didn't think it gave me a glowing, radiant complexion like it claims to. This product comes in a bulky square container with a big powder puff which I wouldn't recommend using. The holes which the powder comes out of are too big and makes using this product really messy. However, I like to use this product under my eyes, it works well to set my concealer because it's such a fine powder it doesn't cake.
Tips: Use a fluffy brush to apply instead of the puff.
