Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover Review

I was running low on the Lancome cleanser and went in to buy it and realised they had the cleanser, toner and this eye makeup remover for $100. They are slightly smaller than the regular ones but you still get 125mls per bottle

This comes in a clear plastic bottle, with the signature Lancome Rose embossed into the plastic, it has a screw top lid that fits securely around the opening of the bottle.

This has the 2 layers an oily layer and a watery layer and sitting on my shelf it looks like those old lava lamps before they got switched on, anyway you have to give it a really good shake to mix the 2 together before you apply it to a cotton pad.

I find you almost have to saturate a cotton pad before pressing it against your eyes for 30 seconds to 1 minute. It works a treat at dissolving heavy eye makeup before gently wiping away any excess that has been left behind. I do have sensitive peepers and sometimes eye makeup remover sees me dancing some strange dance moves. But this is fantastic and I haven't pulled out any fancy dance moves whilst using this.

While I do love this I'm trying to be a bit more money conscious (damn dairy payout) I do like it and it does get the job done but there are also cheaper options around.

The Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover is an effective, expensive makeup remover. I accumulated a few travel sized deluxe samples of these from Lancome GWPs however I will not be purchasing a full size. This product is applied using a cotton pad, holding it over the eye for a least 30 seconds, before wiping over the eye. If the cotton pad is held over the eye for a decent amount of time, there is no need for any rubbing action. This is essential for saving those beloved eyelashes. This product removes all eye makeup, waterproof included.

The reason I won't be purchasing a full size Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover is because it just cannot compete with my ZA cleansing oil. The ZA cleansing oil is $14, removes eye and face makeup in one go, and is simply gently rubbed over the face before rinsing. The Lancome Bi Facil is pricey, covers only one step of makeup removal, and needs cotton pads. Cotton pads are an extra cost and not exactly environmentally friendly. I will continue to use this product when travelling, as it isn't as messy as the ZA cleansing oil, however I will not be purchasing the full size.

This works. Effortlessly. Does exactly what I expected of an oil-based makeup remover. Removes my waterproof eyeliner, mascara, liquid lipstick, etc. It also smells great.

This was my first dual phase eye makeup remover. This removes any eye makeup very easily. I soak a cotton pad with this and then press it to my eyelids. All my eye makeup is off after a few swipes. I don't use waterproof eye makeup so I can't comment on how well it removes waterproof makeup. This is quite expensive so I have been using micellar water usually and only keeping this for times when I need to remove a lot of eye makeup in a hurry.

I was dedicated to using this and only this as my sole make up remover for a very long time. You do not need to use much product and just need to give the bottle a wee shake before you put some on a make up pad. When using this I press the pad to my eye for 5-10 seconds and then wipe everything away. It really removes the lot and after a couple of little wipes nothing is left on my eyes. I would say that there is a slight greasy feeling after using this and would always cleanse after taking my eye make up off anyway. There is no particular scent to this product and it does a fantastic job.

This is another dual liquid make up remover with the shake and apply routine. This has a floral scent that I have come to associate with Lancome products combined with a flower on the package.

You do need to wash your face after this one, I feel it leaves an oily residue where used. While it says to use a cotton pad to apply, I shake and tip a little into one hand, then rub both hands together before applying to my face. It does do the job first time round each time and I can gently massage in areas that need a little assistance without repeat applications of this. My fingers glide over skin due to the oil part when doing this. I like to soften mascara with it sitting a little before wiping off. It does get off my mascara well.

It is pricey so GWP is the time to get these, a little more bang for your buck.

You definitely say goodbye to eye makeup up when you use Lancôme Bi-facil eye makeup remover.

This wonderful product comes in a clear bottle and has Lancôme’s signature rose engraved into the bottle itself and on the lid. Instructions are also on the back of the bottle.

Always shake the bottle before use and simply unscrew the lid and quietly add the eye makeup remover onto a cotton pad. I then place the cotton pad onto my eye, holding for a short amount of time. Then I gently move the cotton pad back and forth, saying goodbye to eye shadow, eye liner, primer, foundation and mascara.

Lancôme Bi-facil eye makeup up remover easily removes waterproof mascara. It absolutely removes all traces of makeup effortlessly and without any irritation.

I use a seperate cotton pad for each eye. Lancôme Bi-facil is not oily and very, very gentle on my eyes. It feels kind to my skin.

This is a lovely product to have at your disposal if you wear heavy eye make up. This removed anything quickly, even concealer and foundation from the eye area with ease. The power of this product is awesome especially if you wear waterproof mascara.

I probably won't repurchase as I find this product is too expensive and there are other products that do a similar job.

I picked this up at a seriously reduced, (although still incredibly expensive for makeup remover) price online. I prefer using simple micellar to remove my mascara, but was finding that it wasn't quite cutting the mustard for removing really stubborn waterproof mascaras which is why I picked this one up.

To use you shake the bottle well, and pour onto a cotton pad. I like that this has a small rather than large opening, so you can dispense a little amount of liquid at a time onto your cotton pad. This did a fantastic job at really softening the mascara on my lids. Often this type of makeup remover can leave an oily residue behind- not so with this one. My preferred method of makeup removal is to apply this to two cotton pads and leave on my eyes for about 30 seconds or so. This softens the mascara enough that when you go on to cleanse, the majority of the rest of the mascara will be removed. I then swipe the pads around my eyes one last time to ensure I have all of the mascara off my lashes. This was really gentle on my eyes as well as the skin around them which can be quite sensitive and dry.

The price is the only thing that would be holding me back from recommending this to others. However if you prefer waterproof mascara's, and you are wary of tugging at delicate skin around your eyes by having to scrub and scrub with less effective removers- then this is your guy. Since I need the curl and staying power that waterproof mascara's give me I will most likely repurchase.

I gently shake the bottle before dispensing onto a cotton pad and holding it against my lid to allow it to dissolve the makeup. It does leave a slight oily residue but I use this before my micellar remover so that removes any left over oil.
