I really enjoyed this product and it lasted for so long, it’s fantastic value for money. It removes makeup really well, even mascara. It’s really gentle on the skin and but cleanses it effectively. I used it not just to remove makeup but also sometimes as a gentle toner just to make sure my skin was clean in the morning before putting on my make up for the day

I'm really into Essano products at the moment and was excited to try this product. I have used one other Micellar water some years ago and was interested to see how it would compare.
I managed to score this off Trademe for $2 and have been using for the past 2 weeks. I use it as a morning cleanser. My morning routine is so fast now which I appreciate as I am not a morning person. A couple of drops on a cotton ball, wipe face and neck and you are done. (leave a minute for your face to dry down before you continue your beauty routine.)
It does seem to foam a little which is unusal. Packaging is plain, but the small 100ml bottle looks cute almost like a mini. Doesn't really have a scent.
I like the ease of this product and it's multi purpose for removing make up and cleansing skin. I will be repurchasing.
Tips: It does sting if you get a bit in your eye, best to not oversoak the cotton ball.
I really love micellar water, I find it super convenient after a long day at work when I just want to flop into bed. It comes in a great size 400ml bottle which was only $10 on special, great price!
I like to use large make up remover pads, simply pour a small amount on then rub all over my face. Ouch! This stuff burns and stings my eyes so bad! I have not had this bad of a reaction to micellar water before.
It left my skin feeling red and angry and my eyes looked terrible. I don't know what is in this that caused such an irritation.
Sorry Essano but this product gets a huge thumbs down from me and I will stick to my trusty garnier micellar water.
I love this product and use it in my daily routine. Excellent at removing makeup. I am one of those people who tend to break out with too many face products so this was a pleasant surprise as I have had zero issues. It is also great value for money as the bottle lasts you ages
It takes off your makeup well but my skin didn't like it and I like to use micellar water to remover my eye makeup and this really stung! I also found it foamed which I have never experienced in a micellar water before. Although the price point is good, you can find a better product for a similar price at the supermarket.
I have been using this generous bottle (400ml) of micellar make-up remover for over a year. It is lovely, gentle, and aesthetically pleasing, in a transparent bottle. I decant some onto a cotton pad then use the pad to wipe off my liquid lipstick, eyebrow pencil/gel, and some of my mascara. I say 'some' because I find this water to be next to ineffectual when it comes to eye make-up. The bottle doesn't claim to remove waterproof or gel formulas. I don't use it for these applications. It is uncomfortable when it leaks into my eyes but this is the same for most removers. That said, this product is all good for removing most cosmetics. I obviously find it okay or I wouldn't still be using it.
I love the packaging of this micellar water and the fact it looks pretty like all the other Essano products. However, on my bottle the lid broke (the top part of the lid didn’t completely come off though) so I never felt comfortable leaving it lying down in case it leaked. As a micellar water, it was easier and more convenient to use than cleanser. That being said, I needed at least a couple of cotton pads (sometimes 4-5!), so I found it was nicer to use on days when I either hadn’t worn makeup, in the morning before moisturiser, or before an actual cleanser. Even with all the cotton pads, the product boasts 200 uses - and to its credit it probably did last something near that! The product didn’t ‘sooth’ and I definitely needed moisturiser afterwards as it left my skin feeling a little dry. It also could sting my eyes sometimes, especially if I was removing a lot of heavy mascara. After I use up another micellar water that I have on the go, I'm not sure if I'll repurchase any micellar water again as it means going through lots of cotton pads. However, if you want to try a micellar water then this one is as good as any - it is definitely great for nights when you just can’t motivate yourself to do a full cleanse and lasts for ages with a very reasonable price point too.
Tips: If you are removing heavy makeup, start with the micellar water to remove most of the makeup & then follow up with an actual cleanser to remove the residue & save on cotton pads.
...but not exceptionally so. I usually use them with cotton pads and I need 4 or 5 pads doused in the micellar water to remove all my make-up; I only use concealer for my face base. Even then, it doesn't really remove all traces of my eyeliner (leaves black smudges).
There's no smell, but it does sting the eyes a little if it gets into them. Also, if you rub your face too vigorously, the product gets a bit foamy, which is something I don't experience with other micellar waters. Also, it leaves my skin slightly tacky, but doesn't break me out.
Sometimes I just wipe my face with it in the morning and it seems to do a good job of cleaning bare skin and refreshing it. However, I probably won't repurchase as I'm sure there are better alternatives that removes make-up as effectively but with less product.
Tips: 1. Don't let it get too near your eyes, it might sting.
The makeup remover is pretty good but it doesn't leave your skin feeling soft or refreshed. It's not very expensive and it does remove foundation and eye makeup effectively but I found that I needed a moisturiser but the product itself felt quite natural to use.
Tips: Best used with cotton pads
My daughter gave me this and it's probably one of the best Micellar waters that i have tried! Clear in colour, and in a generous sized bottle, this stuff cleans your skin quickly and efficiently. I use it as my second cleanse of the evening. I apply with cotton pads and you can see how much stuff your regular cleanser can leave behind. With no sticky residue, I will definitely include this in my evening cleansing ritual.
Tips: Soak two pads at once and use one per side of your face and neck.
