It's thick cream, which I guess as it has SPF is to be expected. It takes a while to soak in, so don't go to heavy handed. I thought it might feel greasy, but once I'd left it a while, my skin was definitely softer and felt more supple. It has the "usual" L'Oreal fragrance which I find can be a bit strong, but it's not grossly unpleasant and you don't notice it after a while. I used it sparingly, I didn't want to overload my skin as occasionally it can be sensitive, but I had no problems with this cream. After using this cream for a while, I think I can say I can see a bit of an improvement. My skin appears firmer, and I don't get dry patches anymore.

Tips: don't be heavy handed.
I had just purchased the Revitalift eye cream a couple of weeks before I got sent an invite to trial this cream, so it was good timing I could use them together. The day cream comes in a heavy white glass jar with a red and white screw top lid, its very simple but looks nice. The cream is quite thick and has a nice scent to it. I found I only needed a small amount because it spreads well over my face and if I used too much it took a bit longer to absorb into my skin and made my foundation not sit right throughout the day. I've been using it for 10 days now every morning and I have found my skin feels smoother, not sure about firmer but it definitely hydrates my skin. Because you don't need to use lot at a time this cream is good value for money. I'm excited to see the results it will do for my skin so will continue to use it every day for another few weeks.
Was a little bit worried about trying this as i have been struggling with my skin since reacting to a latex sponge that was included with a new pressed powder i had purchased 6 months ago that caused a dermatitis reaction. But hallelujah, my skin has been fine with this Loreal Revitalift day cream. Its nice & light, non greasy, has a low to no fragrance. Its easy to use, it smooths out & absorbs nicely. Tha packaging is simple, easy to open & fully recyclable, Yay!!!! I have been useing for 10 days & feel that my fine lines have gotten finer, yus! Overall skin appeared is smoother to the touch with a overall brighter complexion. Will continue to use this as im keen to see the full benefits & how long it lasts.
Tips: Apply to cleansed skin in morning, a little goes a long way, avoid eye area
I am on a never ending hunt for the holy grail of day creams, so was delighted to be chosen to review L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Day Cream! The cream comes in a pottle with a red lid- not particularly eye catching but still classy. I prefer to use pumps for products so as not to transfer bacteria so was disappointed that it was a pottle. Upon opening the product, I was met with a pleasant scent, with floral notes. I didn't find the scent particularly overpowering which I really appreciated. This cream is SO thick!! Which is probably why it is not in a pottle. It is luscious and creamy and I found that you only need a tiny bit, as a little goes a loooooong way. I applied the cream in the morning and found it absorbed quickly- by the time I has brushed my teeth, I could apply make up over the top. Being over 30, I have become more aware of those nasty wee wrinkles appearing and so am excited to see that this cream contains pro-retinol to stimulate cell renewal. I have used the cream for a week so an yet to see dramatic differences but note that my skin is plumper. Overall I have been impressed and am excited to see if L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Day Cream is the answer to all my prayers!
The cream is dense and beautifully scented. I love how quickly it sunk into my skin and it felt well hydrated for 24 hours (something my current moisturizer hasn’t been doing!). No greasy feeling after either. I don’t think I see any convincing improvement but as a moisturizer I love it. Downers: I can’t wait for loreal to become cruelty free and I wish they’d change their packaging as it’s super bulky.
Tips: Use sparingly as it’s thick and luscious
The L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Day Cream is a day cream that comes in a solid white base red lid heavy square glass jar. The glass jar makes it seem luxurious but the weight could be a problem for travelling.
The cream is rich and medium thickness and has a pleasant perfumed fragrance which I liked as lingered on my skin.
I found that I only need a little bit, pea size, of this cream for my face and neck. I did find that my skin did become greasy/oily after an hour or two. This does happen sometimes with other creams I have tried so wasn’t too concerned.
My skin did feel softer and more dewy to the touch and did lap up the moisture.
Tips: Only use a small amount or you could turn into an oil slick and it would make you makeup slide off. Also transfer into a lighter container if planning to travel or fly anywhere as it’s very heavy.
There's a lot to like about this day cream - it's beautifully light! I have combination skin, and it can be really hard for me to find a day cream that's in that sweet spot of being moisturising while not overly so. The Revitalift cream fits that bill. It also sits nicely under makeup, which is fantastic! I love that it's anti-wrinkle and firming - and I did notice my skin feeling a bit more 'plump' after using it - amazing!
Now here's why I won't use it again... the scent. It's so strong!! It's not a bad scent I suppose, if it was a body cream (maybe?) but I cannot stand how it smells on my face - it's way too much and I can't avoid smelling it. I thought maybe I'd get used to it, but I really don't think I will.
Oh a lesser note, I also wish it came in a pump container - I'm not a big fan of pots of moisturiser - it's just too easy to contaminate a pot by dipping your fingers in, and I've read that moisturiser in pots tends to have its active ingredients break down quicker than in a pump.
I hope l'Oreal decides to come out with an unscented version of this - I'd absolutely buy that! Unscented AND in a pump container? You've got me as a life-long fan. :)
Packaging is beautiful glass jar easy to open but quite bulky and heavy, the product it self is thick and creamy with a lovely floral sent, easily spreads across the skin and absorbed quickly, it’s very hydrating, although I didn’t notice my skin being firmer or reduction in wrinkles. So for the price I would not recommend to a friend.
Tips: Don’t forget sun protection, also let absorb before application of make up.
