This product was okay. I didn't notice a huge difference with my skin. It's a gel-like texture which aslo took a little getting used to. Theirs also not much product in the tub.

When this first came out I was super excited because it was a gel formula and reminded me of Clinique's moisturizing gel. I used to use the clinique one before life got more expensive and I could not justify the cost.
At $30 a pot ( or $15 if you wait for it to come on special) it's a good alternative. The gel formula soaks in really quickly and makes a really good base for my make up. Also you can sweat through it rather than sweating it off ( Dance teacher problems).
I did not notice a huge difference to how moisturized my face was but then I do not have very dry skin as i'm more of a combination.
A friend of mine who has very very dry skin and was struggling to find something to get it under control used this after I recommended it and had excellent results. She has continued to use it and the nigth cream and no longer has any problems.
A pot of this lasts me a few months and it's easy to get as all supermarkets stock it. I will continue to use this product.
Love the texture that it gives when apply to skin, kind of like a soft delicate jelly watery texture. It instantly moisturisers and refreshes. Its my go to morning product for waking up and revitilising my skin. Love the product.
Have been using this pot since I got it in a gift box. The pot is quite pretty but then I like blue as a colour. At first I thought the product was quite light and couldn't possibly have much effect. It's very light and feels a bit thicker than water but not as thick as most creams. Your skin feels light and refreshed once applied. I give it a few minutes to dry off before doing anything else. My skin feels lovely and soft. It certainly does not give away my true age. I love this product and will be looking to replace my nearly empty jar.
Tips: Hide it from everyone else.
I need to buy a new one soon, I'm almost out. Use it every morning after cleaning my face. It absorbs really well leaving my skin plump and does what it says it does. It helps with my foundation and my skin stays still, it doesn't slip. It also feels nice and cool just like the laneige water sleeping pack which I also love.
Tips: Good for dry to combination skin. Apply more if needed
I purchased this product after it was first reviewed on Beauty Review by a few Super Hero members. I was very intrigued by the claims of the hyaluronic acid holding the moisture in and keeping the skin super hydrated and thought it might just be what my deeper wrinkles needed - a water plumper wrinkle disguiser.
Initially finding this product in the Supermarket was hard, although it is now readily available and found in many stores that carry beauty and skincare items. So I tracked down this particular product of the range first based on the initial BR reviews. It comes packaged very smartly and does indeed seem much more high end than the price suggests. I was able to purchase it on special for $22.95, RRP is $29.95 at Countdown. The jar of product is a pleasing marine blue with a light metallic blue lid. The gel inside is a light marine blue with a fresh shower water scent reminiscent of that clean soapy water smell. Application of the gel is interesting - the gel is really cold, a little is all that is needed and it spreads very easily. The gel is rapidly absorbed and leaves my skin refreshed, very soft and smooth and definitely feeling plumped up.
I have mature skin with some deeper wrinkles, slight creping and some finer lines. The gel certainly minimises all these defects and the effect is quite noticeable to me. After I had been using the Hydro Boost gel for two weeks, my daughter and another friend remarked that I was looking more relaxed and refreshed. In fact the daughter asked me if I had botoxed my frown lines as I keep saying that I'm going to do one day.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost is the moisturiser I use first thing upon arising - it wakes me up, and plumps up my skin ready for the day. I love that it has a delicate pleasant scent, can be applied even to the eye area without any sensitivity whatsoever and leaves my skin soft and silky but without any leftover residue too. The best thing is that this cheapish gel does more for my wrinkles than any $100 plus serum has ever done and it is now in my bathroom cabinet for good.
I'm onto my second jar and have branched out to the rest if the range, although this particular gel is hands down the star of the whole range.
Tips: The Hydro Boost is best applied at least 20 minutes before applying foundation or other makeup products especially water based makeup products with sponges. It can also be dabbed on over makeup for a quick pick me up plump in the afternoon without it affecting my makeup.
I've never been a very big fan of Neutrogena but I thought I would give this a go as it sounded different and interesting. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and I really like it so far, I use this at night after I have applied Rosehip oil. It has a different type of texture like a thin jelly much as the name implies. The smell isn't offensive so people with sensitive skin would probably have no issue. The packaging is nice the top feels metal? I'm not sure but it is quite sturdy, I do wish that the jar itself was glass but its what inside that counts. Overall this product absorbs well and leaves my skin really moisturized (I have normal to dry skin). Unsure at this stage if I will repurchase.
I purchased this a few weeks ago now as my skin has been getting increasingly drier due to the colder weather. I had read mostly good reviews about it so decided to give it ago over my usual moisturizer.
The packaging is attractive and sturdy, and looks high end despite the low to middle price. The product itself is pale blue and quite heavily fragranced (which was the first negative for me).
This gel feels nice on the skin when you first apply it, though it does semi feel like you're rubbing water all over your face rather than a moisturizer haha. It soaks in quickly and my skin felt nice for ten minutes or so, but after that it just got progressively drier and drier, resulting in drier skin than I had before!
I tried this several ways, reapplying, using in conjunction with other moisturizer, etc and unfortunately I just couldn't get it to work with my skin type. It did also end up breaking me out in a pimply type rash - lots of little red bumps under the skin, which is likely attributed to the ingredients that create the strong fragrance.
All in all, I'm really disappointed that I couldn't get this to work! I still want to try the eye gel version but I worry that it will just make my fine lines worse :(
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is a very lovely product, it really is quite refreshing and silky and easy to glide on the skin. My skin drinks it up in seconds and can't get enough of it!
I like using this as my base moisturizer, kinda like a serum, because this is a water based product, it is more hydrating rather then moisturizing, I feel like I needed a layer of moisturizer to coat over it, and it does work well with a moisturizer over it.
Tips: If you have dry skin, put a moisturizer over the top to lock in the moisture from Hydro Boost Water Gel.
I have recently found that I have a thing for gel formulas. This one has definitely met my criteria.
I have combination skin and this has really helped. Since using this product my skin no longer feels oily towards the end of the day but I'm also nev3r worried about it clogging my pores or not doing enough.
I have found this product to be well balanced considering my skin can be so wishy woshy. I have recently re purchased this and my only issue is that I wish there was more in the jar, although there is not a bad amount.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
