I have sensitive/dry skin so I was a bit nervous trying this product as it has fragrance in it and fragranced products usely don't work for my skin. But oh my this product came through. It not only smells great but it left my skin feeling hydrated and without irritation. Would reccommend to anyone although its more expensive than most moisturisers its definintely worth it.

Tips: Use it in the morning
My favorite moisturizer. I discovered this in my late 30s and am so glad I did. Lasts all day and one pot can last 6 months, so it is great value. Creamy, dreamy, beautiful light fragrance of vanilla. Have recommended to all of my family who all use it now. It is one of my fav Antipodes products. Keeps skin plump and hydrated. Just Devine.
This cream is so nice and comfortable on your skin, I would bathe in it. But there is a caveat: only use it if your skin doesn’t need any treatment. It hydrated me well and left my face plump and soft, but honestly it doesn’t do more than that. It’s a good base moisturiser. If you have any redness or acne, it’s not gonna help with that. But I doesn’t promise to. Overall I’d use it in colder months because it’s nice and rich, and you can always layer your actives underneath.
This ranks as one of my all time favourite day creams almost based on just the scent alone! Lightly sweet, I look forward to applying this product every morning. Scent aside, it is a lovely product. Quite thick for a day cream but I'm finding that it is exactly what my skin needs in this colder weather. I feel it definitely helps to keep my skin looking and feeling healthy and well moisturised, and with the boast of natural ingredients it contains, it's no surprise. Gotta love a kiwi brand too! I much prefer the glass pot to the tubes that Antipodes used to use.
Tips: No spf so will need to be used alongside a face sunscreen - I use with La Roche Posay
I have dry skin and this instantly transformed it. My skin is loving it. Im a vanilla person so the sent is fine for me. Its a thick cream that seems to go long way.
Tips: I use a cotton tip to get out so I'm not putting fingers in the pot.
The cream is very thick, which makes me wonder if I'm putting the right amount of product on my face. I tried to love it, but unfortunately I can't stand the scent. I could smell something that reminds me of fish oil that my mum used to force down my throat when I was a kid. The vanilla scent doesn't cover that smell. I wonder if the (plant based) squalane is the culprit.
Ended up using it on my neck. It sinks in quickly and feels moisturising. I have to try not to breathe in, wrinkling my nose everytime I caught a whiff of the scent. Only putting up with it as I don't like wasting products.
This is a lovely day cream, light vanilla scent which is not overpowering at all. It is on the heavier side for a day cream, and I did find that I had to wait a bit before applying makeup when using this in my morning routine as it left a slight film on my skin, I prefer to use the Rejoice Day Cream as it is lighter and did not leave a film. Overall though it did what it said it would, and apart from the residue, I enjoyed using it.
First off, I want to say how delicious this product sounds with it's Vinanza Grape from award-winning Marlborough sauvignon blanc grape seeds. That said, I could smell the vanilla pod which is my preferred scent.
I got this in the mini pack (I think it was paired with an oil). Which is a great way to try two products. The mini is also the perfect travel size and the day cream inside it is rich and creamy.
It absorbs pretty well and makes the skin feel smooth and hydrated after using.
It is a quality NZ made product and also cruelty free. However, if the price tag puts you off, I believe it's also on Fly Buys rewards.
I was introduced by beautician to Antipodes. I find the product silky smooth, non-greasy, and gentle!! You dont need to use very much so forget a watery product in a pump and use this cream for redness and dryness caused by air conditioning.
Tips: Exfoliate regularly so that you are not wasting the product by layering it on top of dead skin cells. And use a little!
I am a devotee of NZ-made Natural skincare, and have long used other high-quality brands. Late last year I decided to finally try Antipodes, and this Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream did not disappoint.
It is a much heavier consistency than my other day creams, and is even slightly heavier than my other night cream. So a little goes a long way. It absorbs easily and leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated.
I love that Antipodes is always looking at ways to improve their packaging, and have now sourced fully recyclable lids for their jars.
Tips: Love the skin you're in by choosing to gift yourself a weekly home spa treatment: exfoliate and apply a face mask once a week or more, based on your skin type. Then, daily, use a serum and massage in with a gua sha, and then apply this day cream for max all-day hydrated skin protection. Add face yoga daily, and you'll be paying it forward for your face, neck, and your décolletage.
