Perfect Xmas Present

I love this! I've purchased it last year and this year for Christmas and its amazing. It smells like the snow fairy scent from lush but more vanillary so it's not as sickly. It makes wonderful candy smelling bubbles in the bath and leaves a pink sparkly tinge to the bath water. The only bad thing about this one is you have to use all of it if you like to have lots of bubbles like me. If not it would be able to be used in two or three pieces, it just depends on personal preference. But it's the perfect gift for young girls.

Nothing to write home about

In case it wasn't apparent I am obsessed with Lush especially the bath bombs range. The Candy Mountain is a Christmas limited edition so of course I 'NEEDED' to have it in my hot lil mitts. The name Candy peaked my senses first off. Anything sweet has my name all over it.

The bomb itself is quite pleasing to the eyes with white-ish and pink dots and swirls made in to the shape of an upside down cone or a mountain if you will. It has glitter sprinkled sparingly to give it that bling bling feel. It would make any young girl or young girl at heart weak at the knees like it did me. I loved the look and scent of this so much that I bought four of the same bomb so I was stocked up until next xmas range comes out.

I decided it was time to dwindle down on my ever growing stash so chose the Candy Mountain. I dropped it in the hot water and was shocked that at first it turned the water a faded lemon yellow colour before it dissolved and created a bubbly mass of fluffiness in my tub. It was indeed a glorious sight and I could not wait to slip in to the bubbly goodness. It actually created more bubbles than I would have thought which was amazing.

What annoyed me the most is that it didn't dissolve in the water as fast as it should have. In fact ten minutes in to my bath I still found big chunks of it floating around the tub which I had to break up myself. The smell is beyond sweet, almost too sweet for my liking. I am normally all in for sweet scents but this was fruit stick lollies in a bomb. No thank you! I had to counteract the sweetness with some floral/sweet body wash so the sweet wouldn't make me sick.

I did however, like the glitter sheen it left all over my body and the soft skin I had after getting out. It was subtle but beautiful. I didn't however like the scrubbing the glitter off afterwards! Annoying! If you are in to very, very sweet scents, love glitter, love bubbles and soft skin this is most definitely for you!

Tips: Break up the remaining bomb, bubble bar otherwise it will float in the tub and create a scummy mark around the tub

Very sweet and girly

I continue to repurchase this bubble bar, as I just love the sweet sweet scent of girly deliciousness. It has a very similar scent to snow fairy which is also one of my favourites from Lush's Christmas goodies. I find it isn't overwhelming with bubbles, but provides a nice creamy pinky bath to hop into. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves candy bubblegum scents. It might be a bit overwhelmingly sweet if your prefer other types of scents. This will always be one of my seasonal favourites, and I always stock up.

Candy Mountain

Candy Mountain is my latest Lush discovery. As someone who is a little bit addicted to candy and loves fantasical names, Candy Mountain sounded right up my alley.

The bubble bar is cone shaped like a mountain with swirls and dots of pink and white that make it look a little less mountain like in my opinion.

Scentwise it is quite sweet and I can definitely smell links to some of Lush's other products like Rockstar and possibly Snow Fairy. While not the same, I get the feeling some similar ingredients are used.

For this bubble bar I used the whole thing and had a bath tub full of bubbles and a sweet smelling bathroom. My method of creating bubbles is to crumble the bubble bar under running water, then to agitate the bath water and then use the spa jets if I need more bubbles. Using the whole bubble bar I didn't find the jets were needed.

As a Lush product, this of course was not packaged and contains ingredients that are fair trade.

Overall Conclusion: This is another bubble bar to add to the must buy again list.

Bubbles underwhelming and scent too

I bought this (okay, I bought 4... on a whim... online), and I had high expectations I guess that these bubbles would copiously fill the room with a small amount of product (these aren't as big as their other bubble bars) and the scent is soft vanilla (kind of like the old Bazooka Joe bubble gum).

It crumbles easily under pressure and when immersed in water it dissolve faster than others I have used. the Bath water turn a cloudy white shade mostly with hardly a bit of pink in sight and the subtle shimmer on the bar doesn't linger either.

I have to say that I thought this would be ultra sweet (given the name Candy Mountain) and full of huge bubbles but I am left underwhelmed by this one but that is probably also because I have so many of the Lush brands other bubble bars that I feel surpass expectations or have a much nicer scent. I have re-gifted the ones I haven't opened and the one I have opened I am using up in my kids baths.

I rated this a little higher than I would normally due to the fact that the bubble cone looks like a unicorns horn so it makes a perfect wee gift for little girls (and grown up girls too).

Sweet tooth

I have a sweet tooth and when I read this was sweetly scented it was in the lush cart before I knew it.

I love the presentation of this it's so cute and looks exactly how it does in the photos. A Baby pink and white cone shaped mountain.

Since this is a tad smaller than the larger bubble bars I use the whole thing rather than breaking it in half. It's easy to crumble up under running water leaving lashings of slightly pinkish bubbles and cloudy looking water, This fills the bathroom with such a strong sweet scent it's like bathing in a candy shop. Let alone the beautiful scent it leaves on your skin, after using candy mountain my skin always feels soft and moisturised.

The scent is quite a bit like the creamy candy bubble bar and snow fairy shower gel it's quite sweet. And if you want sweetness overload use with the Father Christmas bath bomb.

Yes Yes Yes Bubble and Candy Heaven!

I think this came out originally 2-3 years ago but from the first use I was hooked and eagerly await the release of it to restock up.

Packaging with Lush is the same throughout as they have a stand on waste reduction, this comes without any but gets wrapped up in the Lush paper upon purchasing.

This mountain of shimmering white and bubble gum pink has not only got a cute as a button look but smells like you are on a cloud of candyfloss sugary and sweet. Crumbling this into a bath under the stream of warm water results in the water taking on a milky, slightly shimmering pink appearance whilst frothy billowing mountains of bubbles are left to create an epic shower above the water. Sink into this bath and be enveloped by its wonderfulness plus leave it with skin so soft and supple you feel like you don't even need to add moisturiser. Like you can free willingly leave this bath, I do find myself clinging onto the feeling for as long as possible by adding more hot water to re-heat the bath water.

When these are released they sell out super fast and with reason, I always purchase 6 to see me through to when they are released again as they are also briefly in store during the Mid Winter Christmas event.

Perfectly matched with their Snow Angel shower gel as this is the scent that holds the mountain together, so if you are a fan of Snow Angel and have a bath you will love this!!

Pop it in the washing machine!

A basket of these bright pink and white glistening bubble bars caught my eye on a trip to Lush. A few of these little beauties snuck their way into my shopping basket with all of their sweet, vanilla glory.

A bubble bar is a solid yet soft product that looks to be a cross between a soap and a bath bomb. You can pop the whole lot into a bath, or crumble a smaller amount in. Candy Mountain crumbles easily, so it is quick and simple to break a small amount off and leave the rest in the bag for the next bath. I would usually get 3-4 uses out of this product as I don't use a large amount in the bath. This product is designed to fragrance the bath, rather than provide hydration.

A wonderful suggestion that I received from the lady at Lush was to break small amount of this off into the washing machine. I wear a lot of black, so usually my washing machine is either filled with towels or black clothing. I continue to use washing powder but pop a small amount of the Candy Mountain in with the washing powder to leave a sweet fragrance on my clothing. I would have never thought to use it in this way but it is fabulous!

This product is perfect for those who enjoy a sweet scent, but can sometimes find them overwhelming or sickly. Because you have complete control over how much product is used, you can use a small amount to slightly sweeten a bath, without a candy overload. I now have a preference for lighter, fruitier scents so I won't be repurchasing this product, however I will repurchase something similar with a different scent.

Tips: Pop a small amount of this into your washing machine to add a sweet fragrance to your dark clothing or towels.
