In case it wasn't apparent I am obsessed with Lush especially the bath bombs range. The Candy Mountain is a Christmas limited edition so of course I 'NEEDED' to have it in my hot lil mitts. The name Candy peaked my senses first off. Anything sweet has my name all over it.
The bomb itself is quite pleasing to the eyes with white-ish and pink dots and swirls made in to the shape of an upside down cone or a mountain if you will. It has glitter sprinkled sparingly to give it that bling bling feel. It would make any young girl or young girl at heart weak at the knees like it did me. I loved the look and scent of this so much that I bought four of the same bomb so I was stocked up until next xmas range comes out.
I decided it was time to dwindle down on my ever growing stash so chose the Candy Mountain. I dropped it in the hot water and was shocked that at first it turned the water a faded lemon yellow colour before it dissolved and created a bubbly mass of fluffiness in my tub. It was indeed a glorious sight and I could not wait to slip in to the bubbly goodness. It actually created more bubbles than I would have thought which was amazing.
What annoyed me the most is that it didn't dissolve in the water as fast as it should have. In fact ten minutes in to my bath I still found big chunks of it floating around the tub which I had to break up myself. The smell is beyond sweet, almost too sweet for my liking. I am normally all in for sweet scents but this was fruit stick lollies in a bomb. No thank you! I had to counteract the sweetness with some floral/sweet body wash so the sweet wouldn't make me sick.
I did however, like the glitter sheen it left all over my body and the soft skin I had after getting out. It was subtle but beautiful. I didn't however like the scrubbing the glitter off afterwards! Annoying! If you are in to very, very sweet scents, love glitter, love bubbles and soft skin this is most definitely for you!
I love this! I've purchased it last year and this year for Christmas and its amazing. It smells like the snow fairy scent from lush but more vanillary so it's not as sickly. It makes wonderful candy smelling bubbles in the bath and leaves a pink sparkly tinge to the bath water. The only bad thing about this one is you have to use all of it if you like to have lots of bubbles like me. If not it would be able to be used in two or three pieces, it just depends on personal preference. But it's the perfect gift for young girls.
