Dr. LeWinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots

I was so excited to try this as I my nails have been suffering since moving house. They were 'peeling' and I had hang nails, ouch! They are starting to get stronger and my hangnails are FINALLY disappearing! I haven't noticed much with my skin or hair yet, I feel like I need to stick to it for a little longer, but I am impressed with the results of my nails. The flavour tastes a bit like apple juice, so I was pleasantly surprised. Excited to see how young and beautiful (haha) I will be at the end of the month, especially with the Hyaluronic Acid, can only be a win.

I’ve been using an unflavoured marine collagen powder daily in my coffee for a few years now. Some brands certainly mix in better than others! As a pescatarian I would never touch a product which contains bovine collagen and would definitely prefer to be using a vegan one.

I received a 20 day (two boxes) course of the Dr Lewinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid Liquid Shot. It’s a delicious apple flavour in beautiful individual shot bottles which is easy to drink straight out of the bottle if you’re on the run. After around 10 days I began mixing it with water or into smoothies on odd days as a change.

Not only are my nails strong, my skin looking fresh and my hair shiny, the addition of the Hyaluronic Acid to the collagen had noticeably hydrated and plumped my skin.

This is definitely my preferred product to be taking, but equating to $5.25 to $8 per daily dose at it's usual price depending on the retailer, this isn’t really an affordable product for me as much as I would love to continue taking it. Being able to choose from a range of flavours as well as an unflavoured one would be ideal for ongoing use.

I was lucky enough to get onto the trial team for Dr Lewinn's Vegan Collagen Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots, and was sent two boxes, each containing ten 50ml glass bottles.

I chose to add my daily shot to a glass of still water, as I have a few medications to take in the morning and usually need a full glass. The taste surprised me - it tastes just like apple juice. It's not at all unpleasant, and is really easy to drink, and I loved the fact that all the packaging is recyclable; the box, the glass bottles and the aluminium screw tops.

After five days of using the shots, I noticed that my skin seemed to have a more youthful glow. After ten days, I started receiving compliments from others on how good my skin was looking, and being asked what products I use, so this must definitely have had some effect.

I finished the last shot yesterday (day 20), and to be honest, I'm going to miss taking these daily shots. They work out to be $5.20 each if purchased from Chemist Warehouse, and at $157.47 for a month's supply, it is quite pricey and not something I can afford to use on an on-going monthly basis.

I'd love to continue taking these shots every day, but I'll be switching back to a cheaper collagen supplement in tablet form. If you can afford these, I'd definitely recommend them.

As a long time powder collagen supplement user I was interested to see how a liquid form would go. The green apple flavour was palatable, which is more than many other collagens can say. The dose was small, and easy to down in two mouthfuls. The bottle is sleek, the packaging attractive and the pre -portioned dose was handy when travelling. I had been off collagen for a few months prior and I tried the full 20 doses before writing this review and I will say that my skin has been clearer, and my nails stronger, but not exponentially so. Had I not been trialling the collagen I am not sure I’d have noticed. Overall I am hopeful that In a continued use setting the benefits would definitely begin to show but in the short trial window the signs were promising. The price is steep in comparison to other powder based collagens I have tried which have more servings and are close in cost, but believe the convenience could outweigh this.

I was grateful to try this product as I have more mature skin and do a lot of outdoor training, so my skin takes a hammering.

Receiving the product it is well packaged and easy to use given that each shot is in its own bottle, so no measuring required. However, even with recycling, it is a lot of packaging to use and potentially seems wasteful. I also wonder if the packaging contributes to the high cost of the product.

I really didn't like the flavour much but tolerated it. The apple was definitely a bit sour and I think I would prefer the peach or orange and mango version (which I think is marine collagen and therefore not vegan - so it's a good job I'm not!). Although I found the taste to be a bit unpleasant, what it did do is encourage me to drink first thing in the morning (something other than coffee!) which is generally a good thing! I'm a bit rubbish at doing that otherwise!

After a couple of weeks I'm not sure I can say definitively that it's made a difference but I do think my skin in general feels better. I still have my wrinkles though! I definitely don't have any dry patches and my skin looks healthy. I'm not sure it's enough to convince me to add this to my routine longer term. Especially at that price

I received 2 boxes of this product to sample. That’s enough for 20 days. I took it every day. Initially as shots and then for the last week I mixed it with water to help with hydration. The taste is amazing ! It’s like little apple shots.

I did not change any of my beauty routine, kept to the same hair and face products to see the full results.

First of all, I need to mention my nails. They have never been so strong and long! Usually they become weak and break off, but they are the strongest they have ever been.

My hair does appear to be a bit softer.

I did not notice any difference in my skin. That may be due to the fact that I would need to be taking the shots for longer to notice internal changes.

As the product is very pricey for only a 10 day supply, I personally will not be continuing it, but if you can afford it, I would suggest it for the nail, hair benefit I have seen so far.

I got 2 packs (20 shots) to trial, 1 per day. Fantastic product, my skin appearance has improved the most since starting these shots. My skin seems plumper, brighter and smoother. Spots/breakouts seem to clear up within days with less inflammation. My hair looks shinier, and my nails have been growing quicker than normal. I’ve used a collagen product before, buts it’s been powder based to have with water or in a smoothie. I liked that this was a vegan cruelty free option, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well this worked for me.

The shots come in individual glass bottles, perfect serving size, and while you can drink them straight, I preferred mine cold in a glass of sparkling water. I didn’t mind the cloudy apple taste (slightly tart/acidic/vinegary like kombucha), but i did wonder what other flavours in the range would be like as I would normally go for a berry or tropical flavour when choosing supplement drinks. The packaging was really nice, the whole product seemed quite high end. I liked how convenient it was to take a shot with me when I was out and about.

If you’re in search of a new cruelty free collagen beauty treatment, I recommend giving this a go. I won’t use this long term, but I think as a beauty top up in the lead up to big events, or during a skin breakout, this would be a fantastic option to give an extra boost. It is on the pricier side compared to powder options I’ve seen on the market, but the results have been worth it.

I've always be skeptical about products that claim to be able replace lost collagen. It's all part of the natural aging process. While this is true, it is also true that these shots are like little bottles of magic and really do make a difference.

I took these mixed with a little still water. It was a rather pleasant apple-flavoured treat at the end of the working day that I looked forward to. I loved the individual glass bottles they were presented in. Easy to keep in the pantry and therefore, reminded about taking them every day.

It took two weeks before I noticed any visible difference, and even then, I thought it may be my imagination. At almost three weeks (the course I took was 20 days) the differences were much more noticeable. My nails in particular were so much stronger and grew very quickly. The texture of my skin looks smoother, firmer, and has quite a bit of a glow. Even my mother has commented on it - haha! I've been growing out my grey hair and haven't been dying it, so it is hard to judge what to attribute the softness and shine to, but I'd say it has helped in that regard to.

My only reservation for these products is the price-point. For a 10-day course, it is $79.99, and going by my results, you would need the full 20-day course to see any notable change. This is pretty pricey for most people, myself included.

I loved being introduced to what collagen can do for the aging body, so I'm now keen to see what else there is on the market that might be more in my price-bracket.

Was sceptical about taking a "shot" of Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid as have only ever used it in creams. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. My skin was no longer feeling tight and dry, It now has a glow after using the shots for 20 days. The taste is a subtle apple flavour which I alternated of putting in bubbly water and my smoothies. I am considering purchasing this item to continue using because of the results.
