Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Nude Review

This bb cream comes out of the tube white in colour which is a surprise but once you start applying it to your face, colour is released and it turns to a bronze colour. It is incredibly sheer and won’t cover up pigmentation issues etc but it does add a lovely glow to the skin. The scent is nice and fresh.

I have freckles and sensitive acne prone skin. So I find it hard to pick the right color for my skin, and am prone to breakouts with many products. Seeing this self adjusts to your skin tone and it has products in like vitamin c I thought this would be amazing to try. It was pretty cool putting on a white cream and seeing it turn brown and it looked fantastic with my freckles, looked very natural. As I am currently recovering from a breakout I put on two layers like it suggested and it hid quite a few of the pimples etc. it lasted all day and still looked great. I didn’t need to put a primer on before it either as it went on beautifully. It dried almost instantly it was so easy to apply. I will definitely be buying this in future. It didn’t aggravate my breakout or make them worse, it seemed to actually help heal them. It does have a perfume scent which I found nice. It would be great for people who have trouble finding the right shade of foundation like me. I do like the two layers more than just putting it on once, it seemed to cover my blemishes that way. I'm a huge fan of Garnier BB Creams in general, for me they bridged the gap of 'not wanting to wear foundation' but wanting my skin to just look 'a bit better'. I've always opted for the medium shade, so I admit I was incredibly skeptical that this shadeless product would be a success.

Lets get that out of the way first - if you have tanned or dark skin, this isn't going to work for you. On uber-pale skin, I think you'd risk it being a bit orange. But for fair to medium skin tones will probably find success with this cream.

I tried this on my face and the back of my hand, and it really does blend to those different skin tones. It's easy to rub in and I didn't notice any tidelines on my neck, so that's good.

There is a scent - it's not unpleasant, its just a bit unexpected, but it dissipates quickly.

It feels incredibly light, I can't stress that enough. I hate the feel of layers of makeup, and even more I hate the sensation of makeup sliding down my face. This works as a smoothing base, that lightly conceals redness or blemishes, without fully covering them.

It has SPF (maybe that's the scent?), not enough for the NZ sun, but a nice boost to my daily sunscreen.

I think this would be a fantastic introduction to foundation for younger people looking to explore makeup a bit more.

The idea of a 'nude' BB Cream intrigued me, after all, aren't BB creams meant to be light / invisible anyway; what more could this bring to the table?

There are no choices of shade, this is a one shade fits all product, I was surprised when it really did blend to match my skintone, as promised on the box! The whiteness of the cream and the texture of the cream makes you feel like you're applying your usual day cream but, almost instantaneously your skin begins to smooth and even out as the particles inside change colour to a tinted moisturiser.

I actually agree with the claim of it providing 24 hour hydration - my skin really does feel good and less dry using this. And it honestly is so wonderfully light, the only evidence this isn't a day cream is my cotton pad when I cleanse my face at the end of the day.

I would use it again for sure, but it wouldn't be my go-to base for an occasion or event where I would want to conceal a bit more, and neutralise my redness. Some times a girl just needs foundation - but for every other day, this BB Cream will do the trick.

I was surprised when I went to apply this product, and it was white, as in, goth makeup white. But as I began applying to my face it turned flesh toned.

I like the lightness of this product - it doesn't feel like a heavy layer on your face. For 'no-makeup' days or light makeup days, this product leaves you with a healthy glow and an almost blur effect.

It creates a very smooth canvas - you could also use this under a powder foundation / your usual highlight or bronzer products.

I don't think you'd get away with this if you are really pale or have darker than olive skin but for me it's perfect.

I don't get how you can get "flawless coverage" with this product it has virtually zero coverage at all Extremely sheer "Natural coverage" is what it said on my box which is more truthful. I like the idea of how healthy for your skin this product sounds it provides a little sun protection but it shouldn't replace a sunscreen. This product bis scented it's not unpleasant it feels like a moisturizer comes out white then changed on my skin but I wasn't impressed at all. The tint looked a bit orangey it was patchy and looked like I applied fake tan to my face. It also feels a tad greasy you probably don't need to apply moisturizer to your face unless you have really dry skin. Like that it doesn't clogg pores up and that you could skip moisturizer but it is too sheer for me more of a cc cream I have tried other BB creams with alot better coverage both from this brand and others. I won't be buying this again. I guess you could mix this with your foundation for a lighter coverage or to make a more yellowy tone if day your foundation was too pink. Be careful not to get this stuff in your eye! You could try putting powder over the top I'm sure it would stick to it. It's affordable but definitely not for me

I was so excited when I read the word Garnier BB cream nude. The excitement was short lived this is unfortunately just too orange for my skin even with all the blending in the world. I was disappointed as the formula has supposedly been developed with micro-pigments to match your skin tone upon application. The product comes in a easy to use squeezy tube. The cream is initially white and then changing colour once applied. I really liked the creamy thick texture it felt nice and moisturisng going on but I couldn't wear it for very long.

Great product to help with my face which is redder in some patches and some uneven skin tone. It helped balance out and I could wear it everyday all day. It was smooth and easy to put on with my fingers. Would certainly wear again!

First up, it has a light fragrance and applies nicely. Interesting that it is a white cream in the packaging and yet when applied to the skin it does change colour to closely match your skin tone. I’m not sure if all BB creams do this, but was a bit of a surprise the first time I used it. It feels light on the skin and didn’t irritate at all. It’s definately a light coverage and therefore not really suitable for me as a makeup base due to not completely covering redness and small broken veins. The instructions do say to apply a second layer if needed but I found it started to turn my skin a more orange shade, so one layer is enough. It does provide enough coverage though for weekend wear, when you want to even things out a little but not have to go the full foundation route.

In short, it’s great for the weekend, nipping out to the shops etc and the SP15 is an added bonus. I haven't tried any other BB creams but I would purchase again to have on hand when a light coverage is needed.
