Modelco Blend Buffing Mitt Review

I had never had a tanning mitt until a few months back. Wow, what a difference it makes!

I first started using it with my Le Tan Fast Tan Mousse as my first application with this particular tan was messy without. The mitt made it so much easier to apply and keep an even coverage. I didn't find that the mitt absorbed my product like I had imagined it would, which is a bonus.

I didn't get any staining on my hands because of the film on the inside. The only thing I really disliked was that I found it would slip and slide all over my hand as I was applying, which could get very frustrating.

Regardless, this is a fantastic invention and is super affordable! A must have for tan lovers!

This Mitt was recommended to me to use with a fake tan. It was half the price of the mitt that was the same brand as the tan I used. I had never used a buffing mitt before and had only ever used my bare hands to apply fake tan, so subsequently, I suffered from streaky application and tanned hands. I absolutely love using the mitt. I love how it gives me a much more even coverage, it keeps my hands clean, and I even use it to apply moisturiser on my body now. I have had my mitt for more than two months now and use it daily. There is no sign on wear and tear on it. For the price, I feel this is an absolute bargain for what it does.

A mitt is a must for me when I apply fake tan in order to get it even and natural looking, without horrible tell tale streaks. This mitt creates a perfect looking tan!

I brought this from farmers when I brought some new fake tan. It's reasonably priced for something you can use many times.

With fake tanning there is quite a lot of prepping to make sure it looks perfect, and this mitt is definitely an important step!

The steps I use is that the night prior to fake tanning I exfoliate all over and moisturise. The next day i moisturise and wait for it to dry. I then pump some of my fake tan lotion on this mitt and then start on one leg and work my way all over my body.

This mitt feels velvety and lovely on my sensitive skin. It easily glides over your skin, distributing the correct amount of lotion into your skin.

Ever since I started using this mitt with applying my fake tan it has looked so natural, even and streak free. I love how it prevents any staining of your hands - as this is definitely not a good look!

I have people commenting that I have a lovely tan, as people just can't tell that I'm wearing fake tan! (I'm actually very pasty white)

This is the perfect mitt for application of fake tan and I'd never be without it now!

Everyone now and again you find that product that you don't know how you lived without - well this is mine!

Easy to use, no funny one-brown-hand days, and no streaks, even on the backs of legs.

As a fake tan newbie this is the first and only mitt I have trie thus far, but, I am very impressed at how this one performs. I purchased this online for a super affordable price and have used it numerous times already with no signs of wear and tear, so I can see it lasting well into the future. The mitt is comfortable to wear and use and completely prevents fake tan from getting onto your hands. It has a lovely velvety texture and applies fake tan evenly helping to prevent streaks.

Using this mitt my tan always looks even and my hands free from stains. I would 100% recommend this and will repurchase in future as it works amazingly and is one of the most affordable quality tanning mitts I have found.

I had purchased the Tantastic tanning mousse from the first Beauty review vault when I had realized I needed a buffing mitt I went into my local farmers to find one. There were so many to choose from but I brought this one as it wasn't too cheap and wasn't too expensive, I couldn't bring myself to pay more than $20 for a buffing mitt.

The glove is very soft and thick, I was able to get behind my legs and my back better than I expected and it helped move the product around evenly.

With this being my first ever buffing mitt I didn't really know what to judge it on, but in saying that it made applying the mousse tanner so much easier compared to if I used my hand. Rubbing it into my skin helped the mousse absorb into my skin faster. I didn't get any streaks from the tanner and I think it had alot to do with this buffing mitt also.

I had used this mitt x4 before the side of the glove ripped, now it makes application hard as it slides all over the place. For the price I am happy to purchase another one, but I am hoping it was just a one off occasion where it ripped unexpectedly, if my next mitt rips I will be changing my review.

I a HUGE self tanner! and when i was introduced to a thing called a "mitt" i was overwheled! i had spent soooooo long suffering from the dreaded tan-hands, that i did not know where on earth i was hiding! how did i not know about a MITT?? Anyway..... This has changed my tanning life! its so soft and perfect and it really does buff in the tanner amazingly. the ONLY thing i dont like is that, the seam at the top of the mitt comes apart leaving a hole where your finger pops though. Other than that, i love it! and writing this review has reminded me that i need a new one. xx

A tanning mitt is really a must have accessory for a non-streaky fake tan application and this one does the job perfectly.

I picked this up at farmers as it was the cheapest one I could find at the time and have no regrets. Its super soft, applies the tan well and I never ever end up with any product leaking through onto my hands like some mitts can.

I've used this about half a dozen times and it's showing no major signs of wear and tear.

I like that it's brown too, I find the cream coloured mitts just look dirty and messy. Doesn't change the application but its a nice touch!

If you're looking for a good, cheap tanning mitt I highly recommend picking this up. I will be repurchasing when my current one dies :)

I decided to get a tanning mitt because I was sick of washing all the fake tan off my hands. I picked this one because it was one of the cheapest available at the time.

In terms of results, using a tanning mitt is way better than using your hands. It is streak free and quicker to apply. The product is also more evenly distributed but possibly also lighter.

I find a lot of product gets into the mit so I recommend washing after each use. I just use shampoo and water.

I also found having a brown mitt is a good idea if you don't want the excess product to be noticable.

This came with my Model Co tanning mousse and I was super keen to give it a go so I could compare it to a cheaper version I had purchased from Kmart. For starters this one is definitely better quality, it feels sturdier and the material is slightly thicker. I’ve tested it out on self-tan lotion, mousse, and cream and each time it’s helped create superior results. I love that it keeps my hands clean and actually feels nice to use. But the selling point is the fact that it does what says it will which is help create an even and more professional looking self-tan. Now I wouldn’t self-tan any other way.
