I love this bronzer. It is definitely worth the price! Such a flattering, smooth bronzer. Gives off such a natural radiant finish. The fact that there is one shade is a bit disappointing though, it is meant to be "universal" but I have quite light skin and it is the perfect shade for me, however would not work for me if I was slightly more tan.

I bought this bronzer based after seeing Australian YouTube guru Chloe Morello use it in a video but I must admit I was nervous because of the price. I'm quite fair skinned (usually a MAC NW20) and I'm usually wary of bronzers looking too dark or too orange or too shimmery, but I just love this one. It's expensive, but you do get so much product. I use mine every day and I haven't even started to make a dent in it yet. It's buildable, it goes on nice and creamy and it's easy to blend. I use it over my foundation, as a contour or a bronzer to add some warmth to my skin. I use it on a Real Techniques sculpting brush and love it that way. It does have a slight shimmer to it when you look at it in the pan, but it's nothing noticeable on the cheeks. There's definitely no heavy glitter in it. I use it year round, with or without a tan, and I would definitely re-purchase. I also have Benefit's Hoola powder bronzer and I find I reach for the Chanel way more - I find it's a much better suit to my skin tone.
For YEARS I couldn’t bring myself to buy this product because I struggled to find more than 2 reviews of this product on tan to medium dark skin so I just admired it from a distance. I saw this product on BR without any reviews so I thought that’s a good enough reason to give it a go for the chocolate girls in the club and I am so glad I did.
I've been using this product everyday for over a month now and I absolutely love it. I use this on my bare face as an all over bronzer or on top of my liquid foundation just as a contour but my preference is on my bare face.
The plastic jar fits into my medium-sized hand and the tips of my fingers can just touch the edge of the lid when trying to close my hand. It’s bulky but atleast if I drop it, it won’t warrant an ugly cry.
On my bare face, I use my duo fibre brush to apply the product all over my face where the sun generally hits. Seeing that I’m dark I can get away with using it like a BB cream / liquid foundation – and I love it. The product is light weight, glides on smoothly and is easy to blend out. You can build up the coverage and there is a very subtle shimmer (none of this twilight business) which by no means is obvious until the light hits you at the right angle and then it will look more radiant if anything.
When I use the product on top of my MAC NC42-44 liquid foundation; I purely use it as a contour and I tend to apply more and because it’s so lightweight and blendable it doesn’t look caked on or muddy. It has a light musky rose-vanilla smell which I absolutely hate because I hate the smell of roses and vanilla but that doesn’t mean it smells disgusting - just to my nose haha. You can smell it in the jar as well as on your brush but that’s the only time you’ll get a whiff of it.
On me, the product lasts well over 8 hours (with or without a primer) in the office or out getting my hands dirty. There is definitely a slight sheen but that’s because I’m blessed with oily skin (sigh)! I also have sensitive skin and I'm happy to report I don’t react to this at all.
Out of all the bronzers I own I could happily trash them and keep this one because it requires less effort (I’ll even say less skill) to apply and less mess (no powder dust all over my clothes or vanity). I paid roughly $NZD76.00 for this and it expires after 18 months upon opening and I’m not even sure I’ll be finished by then despite using a lot of it – we get a whopping 30 grams.
What I love most about this product is that I feel like I have nothing on my face and when it’s broad daylight I know that I have no harsh lines and even if I did; I could easily blend it out with clean fingers. I would highly recommend this to tan-medium dark skin beauties. If you’re liquid foundation shade is MAC NC45 and upwards I’d probably steer clear of this unless you intend to use it on your bare face if you’re skintone is generally shades lighter than your liquid foundation shade.
Tips: UPDATE: 21/11/15 - I've finished my bronzer - almost daily use as foundation and worth every cent.
I apply strobe cream all over my face and then apply the product starting with my natural contours on my cheeks, temples, jaw line and neck. I finish it off with blush and set it with Hourglass’s Ambient Lighting Palette – Dim Light on my jawline and temples, Radiant Light on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and Incandescent Light on high cheek bones, bridge of nose and cupid’s bow. Sounds like a lot but takes me less than 15 minutes for everything.
so easy to apply, blends well and stays on all day. I highly highly recommend and lasts so long, which helps justify the price.
