I really love how this stuff smells. It's absolutely delicious! I have thick, curly hair and straighten my hair every day, so it doesn't really 'sleek' it too much. I like to use it on my ends, as it can feel a little bit heavy on your roots.
Tips: I generally use it on my ends, or where my hair is looking a bit dry. I would recommend using less than they suggest to avoid it feeling too heavy and greasy!
I purchased this serum when I had my hair cut short to contain the frizz once straightened or not straightened, the results rather dissapointing.
150ml for around $7 affordable I'll give it that.
When I purchased this product I thought it was going to help contain my frizz which it did but not in a good way! I had my hair cut short and noticed a little frizz one straightened and when I had just woken so i needed a product that was quick and easy to use, I found this at the supermarket and within my budget.
The first time I used it was once I had finished straightening my hair to help the frizz, to give my hair a silky smooth finish. A wee squirt into my palm and rubbed through my hair and away I went, it looked great, unfortunately it didn't last, halfway through the day I noticed my hair felt really greasy and almost quite course :( at home I showered and washed it out but once my hair was dryer it still felt quite greasy, it truely had soaked into my strands of hair!
Even using it after a shower and not straightening my hair it felt quite greasy although it did manage the frizz!
For me it does half of what it says it does it does contain the frizz but it did leave my hair feel nasty. It states it lasts 48 hours but I was rather quick to get it out of my hair at the end of the day.
It smells divine! :)
Tips: 1 pump is all you really need, less is best
I find that this product only works well for me with damp hair. If I put it in my hair when it is dry it just makes it frizzy and it gets oily a lot faster. When I put it in my hair when it is damp it makes it shiny and not frizzy. Have it sitting on my draws and use it every know and then (maybe 2,3-4 times a week).
Tips: Dont use to much.
Firstly, it smells quite good but I find it's a bit too oily for my hair. It does make your hair look sleek for about half a day but then it turns into a more oily look. I imagine it would be better for people with drier and frizzier hair than me.
back in the day garnier was seen as an "it" brand, and i guess in some ways they still are. as they were a supermarket brand they always seemed a bit too expensive, but in the years since i was a teen their prices have become much more affordable, especially with their half price sales they often have.
this is one such product that i feel was highly coveted, as i had never seen a hair serum before, and to get a bottle of that size was just unheard of for a hair product. the green bottle tied in well with their range, although now they seem to have changed things up and added in new colors (yay!) as well as a plethora of new products.
the smell is incredible, i don't know what it is but i know i love it, and i can't stop sniffing my hair once i've used it. sadly that's probably the only good thing i like about it. the serum feels oily and horrible, even wiping my hands after doesn't get rid of the greasy sensations.
this serum also weighed down my hair something fierce and left it looking dull and lifeless, like i had been living rough for a bit and had no shower. no matter how little i used i still got this result. i did find it worked quite well mixed in with some hair masks i had lying around, as i could wash and shampoo it out again, but otherwise, its a below average product for me, and it's only redeeming quality is the smell :'(
When countdown had their fifty percent off sale I picked this up . Whenever I straighten my hair I look for some good serums to put into my hair.
This bottle is a clear green. Has a pumpbottle nozzle. Consistency feels like oil. Has a fresh fruity scent.
I like to comb this through my hair after straightening. It gives my hair shine. At my ends it can feel a bit greasy. After an hour it completely absorbs and disappears. My hair feels softer and easier to comb through.
Overall price wise I think it is slightly overpriced. So far it’s lasted me and few weeks still going. I wasn’t overjoyed by this product. It did work temporarily.
I feel like this is a silicone leave on conditioner. So maybe it is? Have you used 'Merino Lanolin Hair Tonic' or 'Reebonn Leave on Silicone Conditioner' before? Well this feels exactly like those.
The texture feels thick and oily in hand and well..just about the same on the hair of you use too much. The trick is to use less of it. If you think 2 pumps will be enough for your entire length of hair..use just half of that and see how you like it. Or better yet, use only a quarter of that amount and work up from there. Because a little goes a loooong way with this product. And if you use too much you will end up looking like a greasy chicken. Also do not apply this to the roots or anywhere near the roots. Apply it to the ends and half way down the length of the hair. If you use it correctly your hair will end up looking soft, shiny and supply.
Also make sure you wash it off well while you shower because this type of silicone products can build up on the strands, weighing them down.
Tips: Take a little amount of product on to your palms and rub them together to spread the product around evenly. Then lightly take your hands through your hair. Focus more on the ends and do not go anywhere near the roots.
I love this product! I use it apart of my weekly hair routine! It keeps my hair together really well. My only con about this product it hasn’t made my hair better, but it surely make it look amazing & sticks my hair food mask cream together to show off my curls. My hair is thick, dry, Curly Hair so i have ALOT of frizz! But this helps, once its washed away though my hair goes back to the mess it was.
Tips: Apply with cream for heavy hair look and show your beautiful curls
I purchased this on a whim when I was in need of a hair serum, the packaging is great and easy to use. it fits easily into my draw standing up (so no spills) and the pump is convenient and easy to use.
I have dyed hair which is semi curly and I have a lot of baby hairs. my hair frizzes out when brushed and needs to be tamed!
The actual product is a clear serum with a soft fruit scent, it is not overpowering and smells like a typical garnier product. The serum itself is not thick and one pump is enough for long hair. the serum feels light and not too greasy on palms or hair however it didn't do the trick for my hair, however it did add a shine to my long hair on those in between wash days!
Tips: one pump is enough for long hair
