I love Nivea pearl and shine. I am allergic to lipstick but I always have a lip balm in my pocket or my purse so that I can apply it whenever and wherever. This one is great because not only does it make my lips feel soft and hydrated, it also adds a little bit of glamour.

I admit - the pearly shine claims sucked me in, and I was looking for an affordably priced lip balm to keep in the car, so I picked this up... and decided very quickly that despite the claims and the price, it wasn't for me.
The balm looked terrible on my lips. The colour wasn't right, and I probably ought to have thought through 'pearly shine' a bit more. Shine, yes, I love shine. Pearly? Turns out it's not for me.
As for moisturising, it was okay. Not great. Certainly not mind blowing. I'll stick to Carmex.
I like NIVEA as a brand but unfortunately, this just does not cut it. It leaves a crusty layer on my lips , especially on the corners of my mouth and it difficult to apply. Will be looking for better products out there.
Did not like this at all, first the colour is totally yuck it made me look so silly a thin layer of a weird pink on my lips did not work. It tasted so disgusting aswell, and if i applied to much would feel weird and looked it too. I wouldn't buy again, you can get balms for 4-5$ that do a much much better job
Tips: Get babylips hahaha
This "lip care" let me down. I thought I'd try it out because I liked the idea of having a pearly glow while taking care of my lips. Nope! There was a pearly shine, but it was the kind of chalky shine that I used to experience when messing around with $2 shop glosses etc when I was 8! And it really didn't do anything for my dry lips. If anything it made them worse, and with the chalkyness of the texture once dry, I was not a happy camper.
I am a huge NIVEA fan and adore almost all of the NIVEA products that I have tried, however, this lip balm is not one of them.
The lip balm is smooth and feels nice but the pearly colour slick, well, just isn't flattering! For some reason it just didn't seem to want to stay on my pout in an even and flattering manner - it just looked a bit patchy and awful.
Tips: If this balm does not suit you, do try other NIVEA lip balms - some are just fab! I particularly recommend NIVEA's cherry balm!
I love lip balms and have tried everything out there. I usually don't mind nivea products but this was a bit of a miss for me. It comes in a standard wind up tube and I paid around $4 for it.
I don't wear lipstick as my lips are super thin and it just looks a bit ridiculous on me. Well in my opinion anyway. So I thought this could add a subtle bit of colour. It goes on ok but in terms of moisturising my lips I feel like it does nothing. It just kind of sits on top of them, definitely gives me no relief.
Now for the pearly shimmer.......it looks silver/pale pinkish and looks absolutely terrible with my pale skin tone. It looks super frosty and accentuated my dry lips. It has a weird taste too it, almost like sunscreen. This is a total fail for me, the best place for this is in the bin. If you want something moisturising then Blistex is the way to go.
I'm not a huge fan of this lip balm. I prefer baby lips. I wasn't really disappointed when I lost my stick of this product. It made my lips dry so I had to keep using it but it did provide moisture for a few hours at a time.
They are great at giving that shine look, and smell amazing. But never really thought it had a last effect of shortness for my lips
This gets a big no from me!
I am always on the hunt for a lip balm which I love but I am yet to find one!!
So the Nivea Lip Care Pearl and Shine, the things I hated the most? it was heavy and greasy. It felt 'cakey' on my lips, especially if they were a little dry. I didn't find the shine at all appealing, I expected it to have a slight pink pearly tinge but in my opinion it is more silver and highlights any dryness.
The only upside I will give this is the smell, it smells great and really girly. Sort of a creamy strawberry flavour - you might be tempted to eat it! But don't... even a layer on my lips tasted like Vaseline.
This goes on really thick but does nothing to help dryness. It reminds of the old fashioned chap sticks.
The classic Nivea lip balm beats this hands down!
