I have this due to it coming with the Lorac Pro palette I was gifted from a beautiful BRA. I have only previously tried Urban Decay and Benefit's eye primers. Due to having oily lids I find priming quite essential if I want my shadow to last.
A small amount goes a long way. It's not as thick as Urban Decays product and blends easily on my lid. It has a smooth silicon feel and dries down quickly. It's white but once spread it doesn't leave the area with any colour but it does even out any discolouration slightly.
Shadow blends easily overtop and prolongs my shadows well. I find it performs better then other primers I've used. I would definitely reconsider buying a full size when this runs out (but I think this small tube will last me a long time!)
I love Lorac! This primer was a freebie I got with my Unzipped palette. At $21 it isn't something I would have purchased - as my holy grail eye primer is from ELF. Nevertheless I was super excited to try this as I am a huge fan of Lorac shadows.
As with other Lorac products, this comes in an attractive tube. I like that Lorac's products always look chic and not over designed. This is no exception. This is a tube and has a screw off lid. The tube is easy to squeeze and I imagine you could cut it when you are nearly at the end of the primer and want every last bit ;)
The primer itself has the consistency of a slightly sticky concealer (although the primer is a bit thinner than most concealers). It definitely has a tacky finish once buffed into your lid - which is something I like as it makes the shadows adhere to your lids. It blends out to your skin colour and doesn't have any noticeable scent.
Unlike the rest of my face, my eyelids are quite oily and this can be a problem when using shadows. If I don't use a primer then they will definitely crease. Because this has a tacky feel I was concerned that this would make my kids oiler and that the shadows would crease.
I was wrong. This absolutely stops my shadows from creasing and prolongs the wear of my shadows. I can easily get 12 hours of wear with no issues whilst wearing this.
This is a fantastic primer and I would recommend it if you are looking for a 'higher end' primer, or if you get one of these free with a palette. The only reason this doesn't get a solid 5 stars is because of the price. Whilst I really do like this primer, I am going to stick to purchasing my ELFS one as it is way, way cheaper and does just a good as job as this one does (on my lids anyway).
Tips: Use a small amount - a drop about the size of a pea will suffice for both lids and under your under eye lashes. Make sure you blend it in.
