Tips: Can be very overpowering so under scent yourself
This scent smells very mature and formal as such, I wouldn't describe it as flirty or seductive at all. I think this is the kind of scent I would imagine older women wear to work.
It's floral but not sweet slightly bitter.
However it is very long lasting and is s good quality perfume
It seems a lot of us are familar with this perfume knowing 'mature woman' who has worn it a lot, and it is a very 'mature' fragrance.. It's not one that I would have ever considered purchasing, It's one that I was given.
Red Door is a musky floral fragrance. It's a medley of hearty florals, very heavy and not at all sweet. The red rose is prominent, however I can detect all of the notes listed. (See top of page.)
I see this perfume as an evening fragrance for a 'mature' woman.
I'm not a fan unfortunately, and being in my late 20's I feel that i'm too young for it, I can't see it suiting younger ladies.
i received this as a gift. It is quiet a heavy fragrance. I found it is a little too heavy even with a little spray and lingers way too much giving me a headache. It is a very common fragrance with everyone around pointing out what I was wearing. Not a very classy smell, a bit too common for me.
Tips: Use sparingly as it is heavily scented!
This reminds me of my mum sooo much, shes always wearing it! She bought me a bottle of it but i havent really used it alot, its more of a mature smell then i like to wear so i dont get much use out of it. however i do love the smell :) just not on me
I just don't like this fragrance! My nana has worn this for as long as I can remember and, as much as I love my nana, the scent really catches in the back of the throat. It's horrendously strong (and no, nana doesn't marinade in it...) and lingers for hours. If you're after a strong, bold, statement scent that demands people stop and see where it's coming from then OK, this product might be for you. If you're a little more reserved, stay away from the Red Door!
Another favourite of mine down to earth scent yet amazing smell loved by women all over the world. Last's forever & don't need much. Reasonably priced these days compared to when first popular.
Tips: Again can be overpowering to some use sparingly.
This perfume has a very distinctive smell to it. I find it to be a slight mix of spicy with a floral touch to it. I find of all the notes in this that the lilly of the valley and the red rose are what I can smell above the others. I love that you only need to spray a simple one spray on each week and the smell is long and lasting through out the day.
I love the classy bottle and that this perfume has been around for years and they have updated the look of the bottle to go with the times. This perfume is an absolute classic and will be around for a long time to come.
This also very affordable price wise which is a bonus.
Tips: Buy at christmas time or just after christmas as they always have gift packs out and have amazing sales after christmas.
This perfume is particularly special to me because it reminds me of my Nana as we used to buy it for her. I wear it myself, although I would suggest that it is a fragrance possibly more for older women. As a fragrance it is not my first choice, as stated above I own it more for sentimental reasons.
The perfume itself is both floral and spicy. I could really smell the rose, sandelwood freesia and jasmine coming through. I also thought I smelt orange blossom. The perfume itself was also quite strong so I would recommend lightly spraying it and only adding more if really required.
I really love the bottle it comes in, the red door is a classic, iconic bottle and such a beautiful colour. They've also choosen a really classy design unlike so many perfumes.
I have rated it slightly lower on would I recommend it to a friend, because it would depend on who the friend in question was. Basically, if you are a classy lady who enjoys floral and spice this perfume is for you.
Gorgeous fragrance. I was given as a gift. Love love love it but to be honest my mother in law wears it too . I feel its not suitable for my particular age range. I am a big fan of lily of the valley, jasmine etc.
Tips: If you love it wear it!
