This perfume is a classic! A delightful warm musky smell with floral notes . The scent lasts for ages and this is one that I always have in my collection. More suited for the mature woman.

Tips: A little goes a long way.
I received this is a gift, I didn't like how it smelt on so I passed it on to my mother, the fragrance lingeres for a decent amount of time in the room once you put it on and even by the end of the day can still smell it so lasts well.
It does kind of remind me of my mum and grandma kind of fragrance do made me feel a lot older. Musky floral scents to it maybe another 20 years and I'll change my opinion on it. Can definitely pick out when someone else is whearing it. Good value for money
Tips: Perfumes react and smell different on everyone so it always pays to try before you buy to see how it will smell on you.
I was gifted this and I was first captivated by the packaging. It's a beautiful red door - classic Elizabeth Arden. The lid comes off easily and it sprays and distributes extremely well.
The scent itself is very musky - it's quite similar to YSL Black opium, but more musky and a little vanillary. It's much warmer and sultry, and definitely feels more mature and sophisticated. It's also less sweet than the YSL, but similar enough so if you like Black Opium, I would recommend you try a sniff.
I feel that the scent lasts for a long time and it is indeed an elegant fragrance, but not for all. It would be a great gift for mums, aunties and older women.
I got a 30ml giftset of this perfume from the beauty vault quite a while ago. I'm a bit of a perfume hoarder so I had put it away and kind of forgotten about it. I recently pulled it out of my collection and I've been wearing it almost everyday.
The packaging of this is very classic. I feel like pretty much everybody would recognise this as being a red door perfume. IT is literally a red door shape. I like it, it's different to my other perfume bottles, so I can easily spot it.
This is a sophisticated scent and seems more to me for older or just mature woman. I couldn't imagine a young girl would be attracted to this scent. It's quite warm and sultry smelling. I get some powder notes and a slight floral sweetness. The version I have is only an edt but I do find this lasts a good few hours that I can smell. I imagine the edp lasts even longer so you do get good wear time for your money.
I do like this and I'd possibly buy a bottle in the future. It's not a must have for me but I do think it's nice to have and to use to feel a bit more classy sometimes.
My mum has worn this scent for as long as I can remember, and I have always loved it on her. My grandmother also wears it, and so does my mother inlaw! I definitely think it is a mature scent. My mum knew I loved it and gave me a small bottle for christmas, and I did wear it a few times, but I don't like it on myself - I feel to young to wear it and prefer lighter scents!
Tips: A great gift for mothers/aunties/grandmothers etc, but maybe not great for younger women
I was first introduced to Red Door by my aunty. She gifted me a bottle of this fragrance. Red Door can be found at any store it's so easy to access.
The bottle that I was given was a clear bottle with gold labelling. But now this bottle is bright red beautiful colour. This looks like a golden liquid within its bottle. The first scent that I can smell on first spray is Musk mixed with florals.
I notice that this scent can last me a good 8 hours wear time. It doesn't budge at all . It lasts a really long time. After a few hours this scent changes on me it turns into a sweet sandalwood scent .
For its price it's definately worth buying if your into intense musky fragrance. I believe it's a timeless fragrance that will never die. A lot of my aunties wear this fragrance which brings fond memories back to me. I definately would buy this as a winter fragrance to uplift my senses.
At first glance this bottle is elegant and attractive but not one that influenced my decision to purchase it. After smelling it at the beauty counter, i thought it was a very pleasant floral scent but not overpowering. After trialling it for a while, this is what i think. Its is a very pleasant scent, floral and fruity smell. I found it gave me a headache after a while and also that the smell reminded me alot of an older persons kind of perfume( In my opinion) I did not feel it met my standards for a good perfume for myself and so it did disappoint me in that it wasnt much to rave about to my friends. I do believe it will appeal to some but not all. I have since gifted it to my mum who is a great fan and loves it. It comes in 20ml,50ml and 100ml bottles. I purchased the 50ml bottle for myself.
Tips: This perfume lasts long, so a quick spritz is all that is needed.
When I was growing up, Red Door was what everyone was wearing. So when hubby got me one I was looking forward to wearing it. Lets start with the packaging. I had the older version which was a clear bottle with a gold stripe around the red arched cap which looked like a door. I preper the packaging it comes in now as it looks so pretty-not that I would buy it.
I had the 100ml one. The scent smelled good in the bottle but when I put it on, it didnt smell as nice. I found the rose overpowered the other scents. On me it smelly like sweat and baby powder mixed together. Lol. I have a weird sense of smell. It was a sweet floral and subtle scent. However I would like to comment that I liked it when other people wore it. Goes to show that all perfumes smell differently on other people.
Ironically I have been given this same perfume from other people as gifts. About three more bottles. But all have been regifted to people who enjoy them. I would buy it as a gift for someone else but not for myself.
i cant say this is one of the best ive tried. I found the smell quite over powering and gave me a headache whenever i sprayed it. It has a much older scent, not a flowery, sweet youthful scent that I much prefer
Tips: i think it best suits a more mature, older woman
This is a good product and is of high quality but I'm not too fussed on the smell or the price. It reminds me of my mum as it or the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea were her go to perfumes for years. I wouldn't buy this myself as not too keen on smelling like my mum all the time. But a sneaky spirtz when I'm over at her house and the need arises doesn't go a miss. The scent is long lasting as any good perfume should be.
Tips: Would make a great mother's day gift ;-)
