I loved this hair colour while i was using it! I had red hair, and i only needed to colour my roots every application and my whole head every 2nd application, because this colour stuck to my hair so well. It smells amazing and you get so much product in the packets!

Tips: If you have short hair, only mix up a small amount of this product as you get so much in the box, it will just go to waste! Mix it in a colour bowl and use a colouring brush and save the rest for next time!
Really good product. I absolutely love dying my hair red and the result I got was very vibrant! Exactly what I wanted. Although the problem is that it washed out relatively quickly and I was left with a dull red after a couple of weeks. Though the red has stayed through two more dyes so I now have brown hair with red undertones. It was easy to use. Didn't have the horrible ammonia smell of most dyes. Would use it again definitely!
this product did what it said it was going to do. my hair went frm blonde to a deep bright purple. only problem i had was it washed out very wuick compared to other hairdyes i have used with a high fibrant. would still use product again as loved the fibrant colours they have
I have used this on both my own hair and my mothers, I have used a few of the blonde and light brown shades. I thought it was going to be great given everything it claims. It's an ok product but certainly not the best I have used as I found the colour faded quickly however it did have a pleasant smell compared to most and I like that it has no ammonia.
I really love this brand and product farrier created . I have a sensitive face skin and scalp type so this is perfect for me. However i do attempt to like the browns and Black in this range and they last for me around 4weeks as my hair grows pretty fast. Ammonia free and isn't hard to maintain after the dyes been put in. It does not fade then hair fast and styl has a natural shine to it, but thats after of course you take good care of your hair :)
I have only just used this for the first time a week 1/2 ago, I went from a light brown colour to now a deep red colour. I did notice when dying my hair I had almost ran out of the product and only just got buy ( I have never had this issue before and have been using box dyes for awhile now) the dye did run quite a lot and did have to keep clearing it off my skin, but it never stained my skin which is a huge plus! Once I had washed it and dried the hair I was so in love with the colour I wish I was red so much sooner! The only down side is a week and 1/2 has been by and the colour has already started to fade and I will be redoing it this weekend. This maybe due to my first time using it and the colour has not hold yet?...
Using the product during the colouration process was quite pleasant, and I was happy with the low price I paid for it. It had no ammonia smell, so no vapours in the eyes or nose, which is definitely a plus. It spread well through my hair ( which is medium length) and though the colour was a little less bright than I'd hoped, it was still a nice colour and my hair felt nice and soft and in my opinion, not damaged. The colour however faded quickly, quicker than other reds I have used, and soon needed to be redyed after only a few weeks due to the rather orange colour my hair turned - compared to the tolerable peachy-red colour that I have experienced with other dyes. I would use again if it werent for the quick fade-time, as I prefer to not dye my hair too often.
Tips: I use a comb to spread dye to the lower lengths of my hair to get the product to go further and to spread it evenly
I used the red twice and as much as my hair felt great after the dying process i wasnt impressed with the colour the box portrayed it to be bright and it wasnt at all so if you are looking for a stand out colour i dont suggest this range
Tips: I always wrap my hair while the dye is in to avoid getting it on anything
For the last year I've been going through what I call a red phase, and have used Garnier Olia shade 4.6 (Deep Red) several times. Because it has no ammonia, the smell is not as overpowering as many other box dyes - there's still an odour but you can live with it for as long as it takes for the dye to process. The consistency of the product is quite thin and runny, so watch out that it doesn't drip down your neck! Also the applicator bottle is supplied empty and you have to pour both the developer and the colourant into it, which is a little unusual and possibly increases your chances of spilling it if you're clumsy. Each time I used it it left my hair feeling really dry and matted, and as I rinsed the dye out (which took much longer than usual, maybe due to the runnier consistency) I always had huge handfuls of hair coming out. Afterwards it would feel quite strawlike, but the condition of my hair did recover after using a deep conditioning treatments a couple of times after using the dye. Also, no matter how well I rinsed I would still have dye coming out for 3-4 washes after I'd dyed it. Despite the damage to my hair I kept going back to Olia because the red colour really lasted. Red pigment is notorious for fading really quickly, but this dye lasted longer than other home hair dyes I have tried - it was still looking good 5-6 weeks later, washing my hair every second day. I've gotten over red hair for now so won't be using it again for a while, but next time I hit a red phase I might go back to Olia.
I bought this one month before before last (second to last dye), as I went to buy my Salon Live Oleo but my shade had sold out. I bought this one because my usual one is also oil based, and I noticed a change in my hair since switching from regular dye- much softer and silkier and the colour is shinier. Now while I will still apply the softer, silkier, shinier to this, is also burnt my scalp to oblivion. That happened when I used a regular Garnier dye a couple of years ago, so maybe my skin just does not like whatever Garnier use, but man did this burn! I had a weeping sores on my head. Ugh. That never happens with my salon Live Oleo, just that one time I used this, and a couple of years ago- again, regular Garnier. I gave this a three on "Did it do what it said it would?" because as I said, the oil based dyes really do make your hair a lot nicer, but my hair feels better after my regular dye and it leaves me sans chemical burns- which I always find a plus when I'm purchasing products! My other dye also had a richer, more intense colour, which I prefer, it's easier to brush and the finish is just nicer. I do feel I should point out a couple of plus factors about this and other about oil based dyes, is they don't stink or leave that gross smell in your hair. Much more pleasant than regular dye. I also really liked that this came with a massive applicator bottle. It's super easy to mix up and use. It's a shame my skin doesn't like it.
Tips: Wash this out as soon as you feel that slight itching. It leads to a sting, which leads to a burn, which leads to an ugly weeping sore. Do not, I repeat DO NOT brush your hair or apply product after developing said sore, because it friggin' hurts.
