Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash for Acne

If you're not a fan of tea tree oil, don't be put off by the smell. The smell can be a tad overpowering at first, BUT all of the good qualities totally make up for that.

When I bought it the shop assistant said that this product was the 'natural' version of proactive, and I pretty much agree. While I still have a couple of spots, my skin is so hugely improved! I bought it because of a huge breakout all over my chin and neck that I spent a couple of weeks desperately trying to hide. One week of using this and it had cleared dramatically, six months later and it never came back!

It is gentle, refreshing, and aside from the smell (which isn't too strong) a pleasure to use. The bottle I bought also lasted me months. So this is my new favourite cleanser. And I won't look back!

When I started using this, my skin wasn't that bad, like there were a few pimples here and there and when I used that I found that when I put it on my skin, a little didn't go a long way, and over the course of about a month my skin just started getting redder and blotcher, It was this prouduct causing this because as soon as it ran out I didn't get anymore and it the excess redness cleared up straitght away. :-) x

I have been using this for maybe 8 weeks now and am finding it may not be completely clearing my acne but darn near close to it ! I haven't had any big sore obvious ones for weeks ! Im still getting the odd small breakout (around my mouth/chin area)but I'm sure its more a hormonal thing now not all over my face like it was. I am using with clean and clear toner and oil free moisturizer also mineral make up and it has made a HUGE improvement. I also do a facial scrub with baking soda every two days and my old acne scarring has faded away ! definitely considering the giving the whole range ago the best I have found so far.

I'm not normally one for tea tree but my partner bought this and uses it daily so I thought I would give it a whirl myself. I like the smell and I like the clean fresh feeling I feel after using it but it hasnt helped me for any acne issues i've still had breakouts while using it. I still use it daily in the shower though its there so why not :)

This cleanser is great for sensitive skin! Because it's so foamy it is extremely gentle on your skin, minimising any redness that I would usually have with a stronger product. It also never over dried my skin, even if I used it twice a day (which is quite a miracle considering I went back on accutane, which is acne medication, notorious for drying out your skin). Because of its gentleness it's great to use in the morning as it is really refreshing, and invigorates the skin!! Definitely will be switching to this product :)

This product was great! The foam really made the product easy to apply all over the face. It felt like it was dissolving away all the days impurities. I spent to most time using this product just massaging it into my skin, letting it work its tingly (not stinging) magic.

Depending on if I was wearing makeup I would use 1-2 pumps to cleanse with.

Following this product with the toner is really nice and soothing.

As far as clearing up my Acne, I felt like this product was the best out of the range, which overall wasn't the miracle treatment I was hoping for however I definitely had clearer days than before. It didnt irritate my skin at all which was really suprising especially as some strong acne skin cleansers can really irritate and make my skin worse, giving me not only red, angry acne, but super sensitive patches that react when I put any makeup on to try and hide it.

This was my favourite Thursday Plantation product over the trial period. Over the weeks, this product did not do much to improve my acne, but maintained the condition of my skin without completely drying it out. Overall, I would buy this again as it smelt great, and I like using a less harsh, organic face wash day-to-day.

As much as I love the packaging and the texture of this product (it's like rubbing clouds into your face, like no other product I've tried before), it just didn't work for me, as the weeks I trialed it progressed the skin on my face worsened and A LOT of people noticed it too. I'm not a huge fan of the smell of tea tree oil, but the smell left on my face after using the face wash was minimal.

This facial cleanser was found to be an average product. It prevented acne from getting worse but didn't seem to clear up any pre-existing acne. The smell was nice but the cleanser is very mellow and not aggressive enough to target problematic acne. It doesn't dry out to skin (which could be why acne didn't clear up) but it didn't increase oil levels either. After using it, the face feels refreshed and not too dry, so minimal moisturiser is needed to restore skin to normal which is good for those with oily skin. This would be a good facial cleanser for those with little acne spots, but probably not as helpful for breakouts.

I haven't had a foaming cleanser in a while and it was a nice change. Skin feels totally clean and fresh without that tight feeling. Rinses off easily which is a plus when not using in the shower. Lightly fragranced and doesn't linger. Removes make up well, although I mostly stick to foundation and mascara. Have trailed for the full 6 weeks and its still going, probably another week or two left
