Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review

A cuddle in a bottle

This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug.

A Sweet, Delicious Shower Treat!

This is SUCH a lovely shower cream which creates a gorgeous in-shower experience all round. Since it is a shower cream the consistency and colour of this product is quite thick - more like a lotion than a typical body wash. But it lathers up really nicely nonetheless, and is very soothing and moisturising on the skin. The scent is very strong, but if you like sweet and girly scents then this is the one for you! Like candy/candyfloss/bubblegum in a bottle, although perhaps more herbal than Lush's other sweet scents like Snow Fairy. Overall really lovely, and definitely lives up to its name!

Fruity and sweet

I have the smallest sized bottle of this shower cream. I bought it off another BR member earlier this year. This comes in a typical lush shower gel bottle. It is easy to squeeze the product out and you can see this beautiful, bright pink cream inside. Like all lush products, this has a handy sticker which says who made it, when it was made and when the best before date is. I love this about lush (among many other things of course!).

I love pink so of course I'm going to be very drawn to this pink shimmery concoction. It looks beautiful and glittery in the bottle but I haven't noticed any shimmer left on me after I use this. I adore the snow fairy shower gel and I think because they are both pink, I sort of expected the same scent. This while sweet, is quite different. It is a strong fruity, berry scent. It is very sugary sweet as well. It did take me a couple of uses before I really fell in love, I think once I dropped the association of snow fairy, I really enjoyed it. All the shower creams that I've tried so far from lush seem to be very thin in texture and very opaque. They do still lather up really well though, which is the important thing to me.

This leaves me smelling delicious and also the bathroom (I use this as my gym shower wash). I'll absolutely buy this again in the future. If you are into very sweet scents, I'd definitely recommend it to you.

Snows Fairy's sexier, sassier sister...

This is my first time using Lush 'The Comforter' shower gel, after years of being a Snow Fairy fan and - I have to say - I think I'm switching teams. Snow Fairy is gorgeously girly but The Comforter is like a grown up version of the same product in many ways. Have you ever seen the movie '10 things I hate about you'? It's a fave of mine, and that was the comparison I drew to start with. Snow Fairy is Bianca... girly, sweet, thought to be too much by some but pretty and with hidden depths. The Comforter is Kat - more mature, darker, but with a hidden sweetness.

The Comforter Shower Cream comes in the signature Lush bottle; clear plastic with a black and white graphic font label featuring the Lush Logo. This is a bright, opaque berry pink - I'd actually love a lipstick in this shade! The cream is very very thin - it's a little hard to hold in your hand, so i would recommend a shower pouf here. It has a shimmery finish to it, and can be quite mesmerising in the shower in the early morning haha.

It lathers a little and gets pink EVERYWHERE...don't let the kids loose with this one. The pink does wash away even though it initially looks like it has stained skin and shower... there is a residue of pink left for a moment but that rinses off easily enough.

The scent is divine. It's Snow Fairy plus - a deeper, darker, sexier version of the bright pink in-your-face-ness of SF. The scent clings to skin and scents you beautifully. I'm in love.

I need this in my life more. What a discovery <3

Tips: like i said, use a pouf, or just a little at a time, and make sure you rinse the shower out! Other than that, it's gorgeous, glorious, and a must-have

If I had to choose I think I would have to go for Comforter over Snow Fairy tbh

I see what you mean about it being the darker sexier snow fairy. I don't think I could pick a favourite out of the two.

If LOVE was a shower cream

Just before Valentines day they had released The comforter and the Valentines day range, I made an effort to go to the Lush store just so I could smell everything before buying. It was a bad idea.

The Comforter was one of those products that if you smelled the fragrance, you will be purchasing it 100%. I had seen this product on their website and thought $35 was a ridiculous amount to pay for a 500ml shower gel, but my tune soon changed when I saw and smelt this beauty in store.

The Shower cream was very surprising to me, unlike a shower gel, the shower cream is quite runny. If youre used to squeezing your body wash into your hands, you better not try it with the shower cream, it will slip through the creases of your hands and into the drain. Lesson learned, always use a loofa or shower puff when using Shower cream. You also dont need to use a lot, it lathers beautifully into blackcurrant scented clouds.

I am very pleased with how moisturizing the Shower cream is, my skin has a smooth and hydrating feel to it. Not to mention a beautiful fragrance of Blackcurrant with what smells like marshmallows and sweets.

I have been using this since February and I have just over a quarter of a bottle left which I think is pretty good!

If I could put the word LOVE into a shower cream, it would be The comforter. After a busy day, a hot shower with The comforter is the perfect unwind before bed time, it makes me sleep on cloud 9.

I highly recommend this product, once you smell it, you will be hypnotized by its delicious aroma.

Tips: My children like to use this in their bath, it makes little pink bubbles in the bath.

Ol' reliable

This shower cream smells so delicious, like berry candy. The blackcurrant scent really shines through in this one so you come out of the shower smelling sweet without smelling sickly. The colour of the shower cream is quite an intense hue of pink and has almost a silky sheen which I love (despite it turning my pits magenta the first time I used it). I highly recommend this product to anyone after a sweet, fruity shower product.

Reminds me of......

I have NEEDED to have this in my collection of Lush for so long now. I got a sample from my Shazatron lovely a while back and loved it so had to get a big one. I have the 500g bottle which is all I ever really buy when buying shower washes. It just makes more sense to me to go big or go home.

I had only ever tried one shower cream before this so was interested to see if it would change my mind on how much I dislike them. It comes in the familiar bottle with the snap shut lid. I do dislike the lids quite alot because they tend to be hard to open and my nails are not fans of them for that reason! I love that the bottle is 100% recycled plastic, in sticking with my friendly environment products love.

The shower cream itself is a bright fuchsia colour and so give my heart warm fuzzies. It has a shimmer throughout too which satisfies my girly side....bring it on. Upon taking deep sniffs I am transported back to my childhood when all I can think of is that magic pink medicine that tasted of berries and lollies. The Comforter reminds me so much of that and it aptly named The Comforter because it did just that for me.

The cream is a bit too thin for liking and tends to dribble out of my scubby a bit too quickly so it's all hands on deck to make sure I don't waste any down the plug. It doesn't lather as much as I would like but it is still very pleasant to scrub on to my skin. One thing that annoys me above all that is the fact that it stains my loofah and my shower floor unless I scrub it off afterwards. In summary I do love this shower wash but not the thin consistency or the staining. I think I can look past that though.....the jury is still out.

Tips: Wash and scrub loofah and floor to avoid staining.

Smells Delicious, Great for Dry Skin.

I am in love with Lush's The Comforter Shower Cream, it smells divine but I also love the fact it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or stripped of hydration afterwards, instead it just smells great and my skin feels softly cleansed. The colour is also fantastic, who doesn't like pink shower cream! It is a little on the pricey side, but is to be expected with Lush products, so I usually just buy it on occasion, however a little doe's go a long way and not alot of shower cream is needed each time. It doesn't lather up like crazy, but just enough to cleanse your skin, which is probably why it isn't drying along with the ingredients, such as almond oil. Definitely recommend this if your a fan of yummy smelling bath/shower products and/or if you have dry and sensitive skin.

Shower Cuggles!

I first got my hands on this product when I purchased a gift box at Pintsize's recommendation - she said I had to smell this, and as soon as it was in stock I bought it. At the time this wasn't sold in bottles, so I knew I had to have it, and I have since bought a 500g bottle because it's so divine.

The Comforter shower cream is just that, a cream. It's luxuriously creamy, lathers well (with gloves or a loofah at least) and has the same distinct smell of the bubble bar by the same name. The cream is a gorgeous hot pinky/purpley color with white lustre throughout the bottle, which doesn't transfer as far as I'm aware, so glitter haters rejoice!

At first smell I was literally comforted. Just like the bubble bar, this claims to be a cuddle in a bottle and they have hit the nail on the head. The blackberry and vanilla infusion is the smell that stands out most, and then I'm hit with something deeper that I can't quite put my finger on. This is a sweet shower gel, but not so sickly sweet you feel like you need candy rehab. The smell reminds me of the taste of the blackberries and cream gummy candies, and it's pretty damn good.

This product also happens to be in the same scent family as Sweetie Pie shower jelly and Reindeer rock soap, so if you are missing those products during the year (Sweetie Pie is being discontinued and Reindeer Rock is strictly Christmas) then this should help you satisfy that craving. I love this shower cream and all it's pinky goodness. I use it if I need a pick me up and I really do feel a lot better. I will most definitely be repurchasing it!!

Blissfully Comforting

Afterr reading Trudies review about this shower gel I made a descision to try this out. This was released earlier this year. I saw much talk about this on the forum too . Worldofsooziewong got this for me when I was living away from Lush stores. They have made this gel accesible all year long making it easy to buy. Most of the sweeter shower gels are limited editions making it much harder to buy.

The bottle I got was a small 100 ml bottle. This bottle is clear so you can visually see this shower gel through it. This labelling is black and white true to it's Lush labelling. This consistency is runny and thin. Much thinner than any other gels I've used. The colour of it is this beautiful bright shade of pink with glistening glitter through it. This scent reminds me of Sweet berries and vanilla. What I think makes this different from snowfairy as it doesn't have that bubblegum sweet element in it.

On application with a shower puff it lathers up into a sweet fruity cloud of foam. This scent lingers during the duration that I use it. One bottle has lasted me about three months. During my move I noticed that it seperated. I gave it a shake daily and now it is back to normal.

After trying this shower gel I would without doubt buy it again because I enjoy sweet scents. It's priced fairly becauseit is vegan and a great quality product. Lush gels make showering a delightful experience for me. I find the quality of them stands out from normal store bought gels. If you enjoy sweet scents definitely give this one a try, you won't regret it.

Say Yes To The Comforter Shower Cream

I am a big fan of the comforter bubble bar, so I was pretty excited to be able to have that comforter scent in my shower too.

The scent is slightly different, but I think the essential comforter scent translates well across both shower cream and bubble bar. Colourwise it is a lovely pink and scentwise I would describe it as blackcurrent and other sweet things, those being things such as bergamot and cypress.

Now a shower cream is an interesting thing, it is said to cleanse/clean your body and then moisturise it. For the most part I think it did that. Although I did think consistancy-wise it was a bit thinner and less creamy than I would expect from a moisturiser type product.

But I loved it, it would be in my top 3 choices of shower creams and gels.
