Amazing!

I initially tried out this foundation because I heard it was a dupe for double wear, and although there were some minor differences in wear, I was greatly impressed! This foundation was only a fraction of the price of double wear, and did a very comparable job!

One of my favourite things about this foundation is the colour range. In winter I struggle to find a foundation that is pale enough to match my natural skin tone. I got the colour classic ivory and it was perfect (maybe even just a little too light) which was amazing for a foundation of that price!

The packaging is also unbelievable for the price. It comes in a pump bottle of frosted glass and feels super good quality.

Would definitely recommend this product :)

Tips: Sometimes the colour can turn orange when the foundation is old, so its best if you use it as a daily foundation so this issue is avoided

That 'go to' foundation.

I heard this was the Double Wear dupe so when I had finished my foundation I just had to try for myself. The first thing I thought after trying it out was Im hooked!

Not being a fan of forking out almost $100 for a foundation, discovering the price was under $20 I just couldn't be happier. It comes in a nice kind of frosted rectangular pump bottle. The pump to me squirts a little too much but its easy to do a half pump so none goes to waste.

When I applied the foundation I noticed it had a nice creamy consistency which was super easy to blend with both a brush or a beauty blender. It had an amazing coverage and set well on my skin. I was most surprised when it had nearly lasted through 8 hours of a busy day before needing little touch ups around my T-zone. The coverage was medium to full coverage and can feel cakey easily if you apply to much which was so easy to do when I first tried it. A little really goes a long way when it comes to this foundation. It has a matte finish and a soft velvety feel once set.

There didn't seem to be many shades available when I purchased mine but I found the perfect shade for me which blended so well with my skin tone.

Being a cheaper foundation I really didn't expect anything amazing but it really is for the price. The DB Longwear foundation has found a permanent spot in my makeup collection quickly becoming a favorite.

Very similar to Double Wear

I was surprised to find this foundation was very similar to Double Wear. Packaging is nice and it comes with a pump (yay!!) it is a bit of a thinner consistency than DW, so I found it blended out quite well. It wore well for most of my day at work (steamy, hot environment) which was surprising as most foundations don't, but I did pair it with Mac Studio Fix powder. Overall this is a great cheap foundation but I myself do prefer something with a more dewy finish.

Tips: Probably best suited for someone who doesn't have dry skin - it tended to stick to some areas for me.

Did i get a dud?

When i first got this foundation i really loved it, but i feel like after using it for a few months, the consistency and colour changed. Its gone a little darker and more orangey, and the consistency is very lumpy. However before this happened i really enjoyed the coverage and lasting power of this foundation. It got me through 11 hour work days in the middle of summer in a busy, sun-soaked cafe standing over a hot coffee machine looking pretty damn good. Texture is very thick and moussey, i often mixed it with half a pump or so of a lighter, thinner foundation to smooth it out and lighten the colour a bit to match me. I'm aware that since i bought this they have released a lighter shade, which i do intend to pick up and try.

Tips: Best applied in thin layers with a damp beauty sponge. Too thick for a brush in my opinion.

Cheap but good foundation.

I was in pharmacy and waiting for my medicine. Meanwhile i was doing some time pass and was looking foundation suddenly I get perfect skin match colour ( warm honey for summer only) it's very hard to find my skin match colour so I straight away bought it without think it's good or bad. After reach the home I checked review on BR.

Let's start talk about packaging. It nice pump glass bottle with plastics click lid like other foundation bottle. And price is 16.99$ for nice foundation impressive. Foundation consistency is not thick or runny but perfect. Like perfect blendable formula so you can achieve medium to full coverage. Foundation is for all skin type but I didn't thinks so for oily skin will like to. Hey but you can't go wrong try this foundation.

This foundation doesn't have more colour just limited. However I found my skin match its surprise me. I use sponge and brush for application because I have some dry skin on my face. I apply foundation 7am and till 5pm is alright but than I after I can see my discolouration. That time I apply Mac skin finish power for bit long last. If I want dewy look I use damp sponge gives me nice healthy glowing skin. Designer brand is really good for beginner and expert too. I'll buy this in future. Cheap price and good quality

Hidden Gem

Last Easter when I was away from home I made the massive mistake of leaving my makeup at home so had to find an alternative and fast! I stumbled upon Designer Brands makeup station in a chemist and loved the price and the promises it made. I got a few selected items for bare essentials while away. One of these was the Designer Brands Longwear 24 hour Foundation.

The bottle is like any other foundation bottle really. Nothing new to report there other than it looks like any other foundation. I got the colour Nude Beige which is the lighter side of medium and is a cool tone I would say so suits my skin perfectly.

The formula is creamy and not too heavy. It's easy to blend and to my surprise actually gives me even and full coverage. I have combination skin and this foundation compliments that perfectly. It doesn't cling to my dry patches and it also gives me a slight glow. It doesn't make my face appear to be an oil slick nor does it melt off my face when it gets hot.

As far as the wear time goes, 24 hours is a bit too far reaching. i would say 7 hours at best before you can see my red cheeks and my blemishes. However, for a $17 foundation I am highly impressed with the stay power and the coverage it gives me. The only thing I would prefer is if it had a bit more variety in the shades because my skin tone changes with the seasons and the next shade up 'True Beige' would be slightly too yellow.

I think this foundation is a great beginners product. Although I love it myself I prefer my holy grail foundation. If I was to forget my makeup again (gosh forbid) then I would be reaching for this before any others. It's a hidden gem for sure!

Tips: Use a finishing powder over the top to ensure stay power

Great coverage and so comfortable to wear

I was lucky enough to nab the last bottle in my shade at my local pharmacy (649 classic ivory). Sally-Jo from YouTube raves about this one and is fair skinned like myself, so I really wanted to try it out and see what the fuss is all about.

The packaging is actually surprisingly luxe for the price point. The bottle is a matte frosted glass and is quite heavy. The pump works brilliantly and dispenses the perfect amount to apply two thin coats across my face.

I find that this is best applied with the fingers and then finished off with the beauty blender. IMO it works best with a primer which smoothes across the pores as this can have a tendency to sit somewhat in the pores around my nose. With two thin coats the coverage on this was absolutely brilliant, enough to cover all redness and pretty much all of the hyperpigmentation on my chin. I have heard a lot of comparisons with this to doublewear- I own doublewear and I actually think this one is a bit more wearable. It doesn't get cakey and is only slightly less full coverage than doublewear.

For this to last all day on my skin I absolutely have to powder; I don't typically get oily with this (or any) foundation but my skin just seems to eat it up otherwise, and its gone within a couple hours. But if you do ensure to prime and set with powder this lasts all day, without cakiness or oiliness, and just a teeny bit of settling in the pores. Its also so refreshing to select an ivory shade from a drugstore product and have it be genuine ivory, finally one which is light enough for super pale skins!

I am very impressed with this foundation and it has become my go to when I want to wear something full coverage that will last the distance. For the pricepoint I would absolutely recommend this over its high end counterpart double wear as I think it is just so much more comfortable to wear and much more reliable in its application. Will absolutely repurchase- and at $16.99- come on people give this one a go!

Designer Brands Longwear Foundation

after reading reviews on this product I decided to purchase this foundation as I always have issues with the foundation staying on. I was very happy with the product and how affordable it is. Easy to put on, with a light weight feeling. Lasted all day with none of it coming off onto my hands. I would definitely purchase this again

Another beauty bargain!

I love all the foundation ranges in the DB product line. Even though this one isn't oil free it still isn't heavy and can be worn light or heavier coverage without feeling caked on. Has excellent staying power and wears well through all sorts of situations. Highly recommended and excellent price!!!

Hi Lutece, no oxidisation at all, it stays true to colour and wears well as full coverage, although I have always used a setting powder on top. The longest time I have worn it would be around 9 or 10 hours and it wore well. For $17 it's worth a try!

I have been wanting to buy this foundation for a while. Does it oxidize? And what is the average wear time when you have this on as full coverage?
