I have to preface this review by saying I love the Essano range of products and really enjoy using basically everything they already have out. When I heard they were releasing a range of shampoos and conditioners I could not have been happier. I have been struggling with my hair lately as it had been very dry and frizzy. I went out on a quest to get it healthy and looking good and over the past six months have tried out quite a range of different shampoos and conditioners to find my holy grail. I was planning on buying this as soon as it came out but as it happened I won come from Essano on Instagram, it was meant to be you could say. They sent me the Argan Oil variety and I immediately started using it. My hair, from the first wash with this shampoo, has been transformed. It is no longer dry and frizzy and I'm finding I do not have to do deep conditioning treatments anywhere near as often as I was having to. This shampoo smells great and I love the fact the scent lingers a bit after I've washed my hair. The texture and consistency is what you would expect from a shampoo and the bottle is a great size. The bottles are cylinders and stand up well in the shower and I would think they would be easy to travel with. I'm so pleased that my high expectations from Essano were proven with their first foray into hair care products. I have found my hair holy grail and it is going to take me a lot to switch from this shampoo now. It suits my hair so well, it's in the best condition it's been in in ages, it's a NZ based product that's cruelty free and it's a reasonable price that's easily available. Can't be beaten!!

I was lucky enough to lay my hands on this in the vault and was my second trip into sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. Last time the other brand shampoo it made my hair feel like straw so while hopeful this wouldn't happen again and I knew I had some heavy duty hair masks ready to go.
The liquid is a white pearl they recommend you start foaming in the hands, I haven't bothered doing this and it is foaming and cleaning fine when applied straight to the hair. It washes clean from my hair and while wet my hair does feel super clean, squeaks like I have never had before. Most times this would be followed with the conditioner but on occasion where I have used the shampoo only it has felt soft, not conditioner soft but still soft. For me the softness was nearly as soft as my sunsilk addictive shine shampoo when I use that one by itself. I am not overly fussed with the scent, a little perfumey but I have had worse and it goes after a bit.
Depending on the dollars you are willing to spend on your hair and the frequency that you wash it, this may or may not be a good option. For me this is more pricey as I wash my hair on a daily basis. That being said you do get 300ml in the bottle and is cruelty free so if I was buying it would be on special.
Tips: If you can store the bottles on their lids so that product comes out easier than shaking the bottle.
This is definitely my go to shampoo (with the matching conditioner of course).
I've always loved Essano products, and started buying this when it was first available.
The scent is fantastic, and used to receive compliments on how my hair smelt. The size of the product is also good value for the quantity, and one bottle can last me 2-3 months washing every 2-3 days.
Leaves my hair smelling great, looking healthy and best of all, I haven't had split ends since using it. Please note my hair is below my hips, so it must be doing something great for it!
Tips: Definitely get this when on special, as I think rrp is around $18.99 in some supermarkets. Sales on them can bring them down to $9 a bottle, and happen quite often.
I thought this was gonna be the answer to my overly sensitive scalp, as massaging oils into it used to make it flakefree for a few weeks, so thought argan oil in my shampoo would help a lot, but sadly it was the same story as with most shampoos: I started to get itchy and flakey from using it continuously, so had to change it to another shampoo and then change it back to this again. I’ve used it up with the conditioner and the leave in argan oil and weren’t so bad, I wish my scalp wouldn’t be so sensitive. I haven’t repurchased this shampoo, but went through a few bottles of conditioners and hair oils. If your scalp isn’t sensitive this will be great for dryer, frizzier hair types as the line used together made my hair really smooth and did to touch. I just wish these would be fragranced a bit stronger, as I like my hair products nicely perfumed.
There are several things which I love about this shampoo. Firstly, the packaging is so darn cute! Love that Essano bold pink and the how the packaging can be stood on either end (perfect for when you're trying to get that last bit of product out near the end of the shampoo's life). Secondly, Essano is such a natural brand and they don't test on animals which is absolutely fantastic. Thirdly, the scent of this product is divine! Love it so much. The shampoo itself makes my hair feel lovely and clean without drying it out too much. This product has also worked really well for cleaning my makeup brushes.
This is a great shampoo for dry ends that delivers. It gives body and bounce and helps with the frizz and smoothing out the dry ends due to the Argan oil and other beautiful natural ingredients. It also contains coconut oil, macadamia oil, olive oil, linseed oil, avocado oil, pomegranate oil, no wonder it smells so beautiful like a nutty flower. It smells like of a mix of coconut and ylangylang. This very nutty shampoo is moisturizing and packed full of protein. It will help end oily root, dry end hair problems. It gives great shine and makes hair look healthy. It comes in a 300ml bottle but a little goes a long way. It is just as good as many salon high end shampoos but without the price tag. I bought it on special for $9.99 at New World normally $15.99
Tips: I usually do 2 shampoos to give a thorough shampoo.
I grabbed the Essano Argan Shampoo is the beauty vault.
It's a beautifully presented bottle, love the labelling and ethics. I prefer sulfate free and nautral shampoos , much better for my dark red coloured hair. The bottle can be a bit tuff to get alot of product out as the opening is quite small. So be patient. Lathers wonderfully, moisturizes perfectly , soft silky hair. The only fault is the fragrance, it's very strong, it's a heavy perfume like scent. I was expecting fruity haha.
All in all I will continue to purchase, my hair loves it.
A really nice affordable brand that I know I can get quality care from. Scent may be a little strong for some people, but I loved it. And it made my hair really happy!
I picked this up in my weekly shop along with the conditioner. My hair is often dry at my ends . This packaging comes in a bottle easy to get product out of . Consistency of this shampoo is smooth creamy. When I tried it I lathered it on throughout my hair . It’s bubbles up nicely in my hair. I rinse it out throughly . Afterwards my hair feels fresh and clean. Overall a good shampoo just wish it came in a bigger bottle.
This seemed to have everything going for it in terms of what I look for when buying shampoo: natural; free of synthetic chemicals and NZ made.
However, I found this isn't for me unfortunately. I found this to be 'too chemically' in its scent which made me wonder if this is in fact natural and not just green wash. It doesn't leave my hair moisturised either. It has the same effect on my hair that products such as Garnier or Pantene would have (products which I no longer use since I try to buy all natural hair products only)
I was initially reluctant to purchase it and in hindsight, I should have shelled out a few dollars more and got a product that I know I have good results
