My first thought before using the shampoo and conditioner was that nothing can "repair" a split end, you get them trimmed off and hope that you find something that will prevent future split ends. But after trying this I'm not so sure now. My hair definitely feels a lot better, the dryness has gone and the ends of my hair no longer feel like straw but I can still spot a lot of split ends. Whether or not this actually helps split ends or helps prevent them from happening, I love how it has made my hair feel after just a weeks worth of use.

I was very skeptical when i read on the bottle that it would repair up to 80% of split ends as i have tried products before that claim to do this and have failed, but i was very happy with the results. Even after the first wash i noticed a decrease in the number of split ends that i had, and by the third wash i was very happy.

I liked what the product did in terms of helping with split ends, but because of the way that the conditioner worked i found it to be quite heavy and left my hair a little waxy once dried. Because of this, i wouldn't use the conditioner every wash, i would alternate between conditioners to prevent your hair feeling kinda gross after the third wash (I wash my hair every second day).

The product also smelled really nice in the bottle, but i found that it didn't smell as great on dried hair which is a shame!

Both the conditioner and the shampoo and quite creamy in consistency which was great, as i find that type of product really easy to apply, i just wish that it had come in a pump bottle! Would have made it a lot easier

Overall, i love the results i got, but i didn't particularly like the conditioner and the way it left my hair. I will definitely use the shampoo again, but i would only use the conditioner every second wash.

I like this product. It has started to repair my hair but I do feel it will take more than 3 washes to see a difference. The conditioner is quite heavy but does leave your hair feeling healthier.

I was sitting on the couch one night and i was wondering what this divine smell was that was lingering in the air. It didnt take me long to realise that it was the TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner that was sent for me to review, and just by this first impression i couldnt wait to use it and promptly jumped into the shower to give it a whirl. First off, i have to say the consistency was perfect, not too creamy and not too runny. The consentration of the product was beyond expected from a brand like this, as a little goes along way and these types of brands tend to provide low consentration to make the buyer use more product thus repurchasing sooner. But TRESemmes big bottles and high consentrated formula is proof that this bottle is here to stay for a long time. Only downside to the bottle is not having a pump to provide easy access and prevent any accidents as there is nothing like having a slippery heavy bottle full of product sliding out of your hands! The Shampoo lathers up beautifully instantly showing that the molecules that work inside the formula are well and truly dragging that dirt away leaving your hair completely clean. As for the Conditioner, im a bit sceptical about how this product claims to "repair" split ends, i wouldn't say it repairs, but temorarily bonds to prolong growth until it is cut off. Now for a bit of hairdresser jargon i learnt when i was studying.. For those stating that have weighed down hair I would say is due to the waxiness of the conditioner as conditioner lays down a waxy foundation over your cuticles to flatten them, creating a shine and protecting the hair, using this product over and over again creates multiple layers otherwise known as buildup. Those of you stating to have drying and brittle hair because of this product maybe because of the protein they have put in. Protein treatments are known to temporarily repair and strengthen hair. They do this by filling up gaps in the cuticle and a sufficiently small size can also penetrate to the cortex (inside the hair) Protein products must only be used sparingly as using them too much causes more harm then good. Brittleness and breakage is caused by the imbalance in the hairs elasticity, too much protein causes the hair to become too stong thus becoming too brittle, too much moisture causes hair to become to soft and over stretch making hair lanky. I have used this Conditioner once and I must say that when wet it looked waxy, when combing it it was a breeze compared to other products i use due to my bleached and damaged hair, when dry it look healthy, shiny and maintained and most of all my hair smelt amazing and lasted all day and night! so overall impressed!

I found this product very good. Considering im very sensitive to smells, i found that i could use this without any problems. Made my 50% grey hair feel very soft. My husband also liked it. A good family shampoo and conditioner, and affordable as it comes in huge containers.

I thought this product was supposed to restore the moisture to your hair and repair splint ends but I found it made my hair drier! My splint ends do look a bit better but overall my hair now feels like hay. The bottle says to leave the conditioner in for 1-3 minutes but I would say I left it in for longer expecting this to have better results, I must have been wrong!

My friend had recently reviewed this product & her review was positive, so I jumped at the opportunity to review it also. When I received it in the mail I was so excited to see what it smelt like (as that is probably the most important thing to me in a good shampoo & conditioner - which I am sure you will all agree) I opened the conditioner and it squirted all up my nose, wasn't expecting that ! :P But it did smell so good ! So I instantly got in the shower just so i could wash my hair.. again ! I LOVED it ! My hair felt so smooth and soft instantly after washing my hair, usually when my hair dries naturally after a shower it becomes quite fluffy, but with this particular product it didn't and I was quite happy with that. I also went to the beach a few days later & with the salt water my hair tends to become quite dry but this time it DIDN'T.. I even told my boyfriend to feel my hair because I was so shocked at how soft and luscious it felt ! The product is meant to reduce split ends, I am unsure whether or not it did actually help.. or it just made my hair feel extra soft ! I am sure with regular trims and using this product it would help to reduce split ends.

I have used this product several times now and I think it is amazing!!! The Shampoo and conditioner both smell divine and my hair is so much more manageable and less frizzy after using it. My husband has even used it and raves about it. I don't think it has made much difference with the split ends I already have, but I think after a good cut, using this shampoo and conditioner would keep it looking great for longer.

My hair is very fine and long so I struggle to find a shampoo and conditioner that doesnt make my hair greasy. The ends of my hair are very dry and break very easily! So I used the TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner for 5 washes and I absolutely love it! My ends now look a whole lot healthier however I don't believe that it repairs up to 80% of split ends but it reduces the look of them by that much. You can can only see them if you look very close and they remain hydrated till you next wash. The colour of my hair stands out a lot more as well. The smell is amazing! Thanks Beauty Review NZ for giving me the opportunity for trialing this and I will keep using it!
