I 99.99% of the time use a body wash BUT if/when I need to buy soap I always go for this, its gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn't irritate or dry my eczema out even more. its a nice shape and has a delicate scent. Definitely keep a bar or two in the cupboard as back up for when/if we run out of hand soap too. Parents have always used this as well. Can be more expensive than other soaps but worth it if you can get it when its on sale, and the fact is has moisturising ingredients is a bonus!

Love their soaps, I have dry skin/ecezema and cant really use soaps, but this one in particular helps keep moisture in my skin, making it nice and smooth, it has always been a trusted go to product for my family azwell, so inexpensive azwell
Great product, I use it for my body and face (as recommended by my dermatologist) and it works wonders. Leaves the skin feeling clean and soft.
Tips: If using on the face make sure to moisturise after.
This soap is one of my favourites. It smells great, a really nice clean fresh scent and it lathers well. It definitely leaves my skin feeling softer and moisturised, and doesn't dry it out at all. Its a great price and i would recommend it to a friend.
The fresh, clean linen smell of Dove Beauty Bar unfortunately reminds me of elderly people, as both my gran and nana use to use it and my hubby's grandparents still do.
The creamy, rich lather leaves my skin feeling clean but unfortunately the distinctive scent has put me off. I just can't get over the "old person" association that my brain seems to have with the scent of this "original" Dove Beauty Bar and although it claims to contain one quarter moisturing lotion, I find it to be quite drying on my face, if I happen to run out of cleanser (it does remove make-up wonderfully though) but it is definitely gentler on my skin than normal soap bars.
Would I recommend or repurchase? Probably not the "original" Dove Beauty Bar because of the scent association that I have. The "extra sensitive" version of this is apparently fragrance-free and the "fresh touch" has cucumber and green tea extracts, so I might give one of those variants a try next.
Tips: Moisturise after using. The 1/4 moisturising lotion claim is not enough to leave skin feeling hydrated.
This is a great value for money product. Use like regular soap, but instead of having dry skin when you step out of the shower, you will feel moisturised - yay!
This product is cheap and effective, with eco-friendly packaging (cardboard).
Tips: Great as a hand soap for those with dry or sensitive skin.
my nana used to use Dove soap - so the smell of dove soaps always remind me of her! I personally prefer shower gels but this is a staple in my household and i do still use it every so often. I love the creamy texture and feel of this soap. it lathers easily and feels so soft. It does 'melt' away really quickly if left uncovered in the shower! just something to be aware of otherwise no other concerns at all.
I used this for many years growing up as my mum was loyal to Dove. I still use this on occasion when I run out of shower gel. I switched to shower gels a few years ago because I have dry skin and I find them less irritating on my skin.
Dove beauty bars are packaged in a cardboard box. The soap is white, oval shaped and has Dove engraved on it.
It lathers well and has a very creamy texture which makes for a pleasant showering experience. It leaves my skin feeling clean. It also has a beautiful distinctive scent that is not too overpowering. Although Dove claim it's contains 1/4 moisturing lotion I find it quite drying on my skin hence why I gave it only 3 stars.
Tips: Moisturiser after using to prevent dry skin.
I have used this soap on and off over the years. I mainly use shower gels now. But it still sits pretty in my guest bathroom. Its a white oval shaped soap with an embossed dove on it. Looks really clean (if you know what I mean?) and pretty.
I used it with my gloves. Very creamy lather and smells divine. Leaves my skin feeling silky but I still have to moisturise it later. I guess it depends on skin types. This was a luxurious brand back home and I used it to wash my face (bad habit) but didnt notice a marked difference. Just an overall softness-which might have been down to my youthfulness :-p
Also leave a fresh scent on your skin for a little bit.
I do like this soap as I think the smell is nice and it cleans well. It's not too harsh on my skin and leaves it feeling soft and conditioned. However it is almost too soft that you go through it very fast and doesn't completely dry.
I think for a soap it is on the pricier side and to be honest I dont really use soaps to clean my body so I can't see the point in buying a more expensive soap.
