Cancer Society Daily Moisturising Body Lotion SPF50+ Review

i've been using this stuff since i got it in the vault a few donkies ago and i have to say, its one of the best sunscreens i've ever used.

i love the pump. i'm sure i'll come to hate it when i get to the end of the bottle but so far, i love it. gives off a very hands free vibe. the lotion is like most sunscreens, thick, white, smells like weird. this sunscreens smells like that but also smells a bit like the yellow vaseline your nana still uses, and to be honest, i dont hate it, i rather quite like it.

the consistency is a bit runny but it rubs in really well and easily. its non greasy, it literally feels like ive applied a body lotion to my skin. on the face it feels the same, just a bit waxier as i dont often apply body lotions to my face, so its a different ballgame up there. the smell is non irritating to my nose and i am pretty sure it's never made me break out.

the best part, the absolute BEST part about this sunscreen? it doesnt sting when it's in your eyes like the others do. i applied it 30 mins before the beach, and the only thing stinging my eyes that day was the stupid waves that kept smacking me in the face. honestly, this sunscreen is the bomb and im glad past me made the decision to get some, and i will thank future me now cos i know she will keep buying it.

One thing I dislike, is feeling sticky and greasy in summer time. When I'm already clammy and hot, the last thing I want is to wear a sunscreen that is thick and greasy.

I usually only buy sunscreen from Farmers, or a chemist, as I have a 'go-to' that I always buy. Anyway, I realized I had left my sunscreen at home, and we were on our way to spend the day at the beach. We were only stopping at the supermarket, so I had to find a sunscreen there. This one caught my eye as it was SPF 50+ and it was on special for around $15.

When I applied it, I was surprised at the milky texture. Certainly more 'thin' than your average sunscreen. It felt more like a gentle moisturizer, which I really liked. It absorbs really quickly into the skin, just like it says. It doesn't taint your skin white either.

The scent is pleasant, and it works (no sunburn).

I'd absolutely buy this again as it does exactly as stated on the bottle, and is very reasonably priced. The bottle last ages!

I kept this specifically so I could test it on my recent trip to Rarotonga. (I picked this up in one the BBBE boxes last year) 400ml bottle with a pump top. Perfect for use in the summer. Super lightweight and fast absorbing, my husband and I used this daily while we were away and had no burns at all. I love that it is a two in one product. A moisturising body lotion and sun protection all in one. Ease of use of this product is exactly what I need for the summer to combat dryness while protecting myself from getting burnt. Couldn't recommend this enough and will definitely repurchase when this one is finished. Though i'm pretty sure this will last me all of this summer.

In our house we're pale and the NZ sun isn't our friend so we all apply sunscreen every day. I love this product. The pump bottle means the kids can use it easily on their own - albeit sometimes too generously. The key with this sunscreen is that they don't complain that it stings their eyes and while they still protest a little about applying sunscreen, this particular one doesn't seem to be a problem.

From my own experience I also love that the product isn't greasy and leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft.

Sun exposure - I haven't had any of the family burnt while using this, but we use it in conjunction with hats and covering up - and reapplying especially with swimming and playing sports.

It is pricier - but often on special - and if the kids like the product then a couple of extra dollars makes it worth it for me. It actually lasts a really long time - which compared to spray on products makes it really economical and a little gentler on the skin with the hydration benefits.

I really like the smell of this sunscreen. It has a floral scent which I love and my 6 year old daughter approves. It really is lightweight and fast absorbing. The kids usually complain with sunscreen that is heavy, hard to rub in and sticky, which can be frustrating sometimes to get them to wear it. They don't complain with this one. The only thing I have bad to say is that it is really expensive and I won't buy it unless it's on special for $15-$20 at the most. Usually which ever sunscreen is the cheapest is the one I go for.

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever used. It feels nice on my skin and not chalky. It doesn't leave white streaks and it smells nice. I find it to be moisturising and it defo stops the sunburn. When I use it on my face, it doesn't sting my eyes which I find other sunscreens do. Highly recommended!

I really rate this SPF moisturising lotion! It feels nice and nourishing on my skin and doesn’t make it sticky after applying it on. My skin is fair and sensitive and I have never had any issues using this SPF. It has also been really effective in keeping sunburn at bay! I also got the kids equivalent lotion for my kids - and they love it as much as I do too!

I use this as a body moisturiser to start the day and I love it. It is not as greasy as regular sunscreen and it leaves my skin feeling soft, glowy and moisturised. In addition this great product also smells amazing. Would reccommend to anyone that wants to stay safe from the sun while looking and smelling great.
