This is the first Lancome foundation I've ever tried, I'm not sure why it's taken me so long but I'm sure glad I did.
There's nothing spectacular about the packaging - just a nice clear glass bottle with a pump that is easy to use.
The first thing I noticed about the foundation is the very liquid consistency which worried me, as liquidity usually indicates a lesser coverage. I was right about this. That is my one gripe about the foundation - I don't get enough coverage using it alone but that is due to the red veins in my skin. What I found worked really well was mixing a touch of oasis BB cream in with it and that gave me the coverage I required without dulling down the effects of this beautiful foundation too much.
My skin never felt cakey or got that oily tacky feeling you can get with some other foundations and I found this foundation to wear well for about 8 hours before starting to break down.
I think after reading some other reviews I'm going to try their 24-hour foundation as that seems to have a heavier coverage without the need to add anything else.
I loved the colour and the fact it didn't oxidise. If it had a wee bit more coverage it definitely would have been 5/5 for me.
The price point is one of the higher ones but the bottle has lasted me a few months and I tend to bring foundation down my neck as well, so I'm pretty happy with that.
After completely giving up on the foundation I was using I went to get colour matched to this foundation, of course I did my research first reading BR reviews especially since it's $80 odd dollars a bottle I didn't want to risk wasting yet more money on the wrong foundation.
I have dry skin so I can't wear anything matte, I like a medium coverage foundation and something that lasts a good few hours. I think that's all!!
I was matched to 035 which is like a medium beige colour. The bottle is quite pretty, long tall square shaped with a clear lid. It has a pump dispenser which is great because this foundation is very runny!
I only need a tiny amount of this one full pump is more than enough as it seems to go a really long way and as I said it's really really runny. I apply it using a beauty blender and it blends in so easily, it leaves a perfect finish no streaks no cakey bits it doesn't settle in my fine lines. It looks so nice on my skin it is very lightweight so I feel like my skin can breathe will I wear it.
With it being so lightweight I was a bit worried it wouldn't last the day but I was so pleasantly surprised at how it did last the whole day and looked as good as it did when I first applied it. It doesn't slide off during the day or move at all. I love this foundation and think it is well worth the $80 odd dollars a bottle.
