I use this over a clinque liquid foundation and concealer I find it works well although the puff it came with I found pretty useless and use my own powder brush

I’ve never really got into powder foundation and originally brought this to use as a setting powder but it looks so good on its own and has been a life saver during the heatwave with my oily summer skin. It feels like nothing and you can really build it up if you need more coverage without the usual powdery finish. So impressed with this foundation!
I am not at all a fan of liquid foundation, including high-end brands (I have used Bobbi Brown and Nars in the past). Liquid and stick foundations, CC and BB creams, and even tinted moisturisers tend to make my face feel heavy with pore-blocking coverage. I was desperate to find something lightly evened out my skin tone without making me want to scrub it off my face immediately.
Thank goodness for this Clinique 'almost powder' product! It spreads on evenly and gives a very fine amount of coverage without altering your natural skin tone. Even though it is a very sheer texture across my skin, I have always been extremely happy with the way it covers up under-eye circles and the mild rosacia on my nose.
If you need to add concealer, bronzer, blush, contouring etc you can easily build colour on top of the Clinique powder. The handy compact and applicator can stay in your handbag all day should you need touch-ups. Although a small amount might rub off my face if I blow my nose etc, I'm very happy with it's staying power throughout the day.
Tips: Farmers seems to have stopped stocking this item, so you may need to go online to purchase it.
This powder has a nice finely milled consistency that sits really well on my skin which means it doesn't look cake-y or too powder-y. It is so easy to apply, it generally apply it will a powder brush however I also find using the little sponge with it wet also applies it really well if you have a bit more time. It is a really decent coverage, a little goes a long way and is fully build-able. It covers my redness well yet still lets my freckles shine through allowing quite a natural look. Mine has so far lasted me 5 months and counting, however I am almost out (but already have a back-up purchased). I have mostly normal-combination skin and this product works really well for me, it lasts me all day.
I would definitely recommend this to others
i used this product when trialing new powders. I have found this one to be too dry looking and feeling for my skin personally, but overall this gave a lovely coverage with foundation or a light sheer coverage simply on its own.
Clinique's Almost Powder is my holy grail powder. I have tried a LOT of powders in my time, and this is my absolute all-time favourite.
The packaging is a cute green compact with mirror and sponge, making it great for on-the-go use and a nice change from the common black compacts I normally have in my handbag.
I first tried this after becoming obsessed with Clinique's Anti-Blemish range and I was looking for a good powder to go over my liquid foundation that would stay put all day without cakiness and that had a matte, natural-looking finish. A couple of friends who had fair, normal skin recommended this but it wasn't until I was ensured that it was a good fit by the Clinique counter lady did I take the plunge.
I applied the powder over my foundation or BB cream with the supplied sponge. I actually found this provided flawless, natural coverage without cakiness. I never tried it with brushes so next time I purchase (and I will!) I will be sure to update my review.
I have oily, acne-prone skin so it's important to me that my powder keeps my makeup looking matte and slick-free throughout the day. Clinique's Almost Powder never failed me!
I recently talked to the same Clinique lady who is now working for MAC about whether MAC has a similar product and she suggested the Studio Fix Powder. I now have this too and I found that while they give similar levels of coverage, Almost powder gives a much more natural look every time without risking cakiness. It'd be perfect for beginners too as it's so easy to use and gives good coverage for a powder.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good coverage, long-lasting compact powder and will definately be repurchasing in the future especially as it appears to have dropped in price since I last purchased!
Tips: The sponge it comes with is great for on-the-go touch-ups!
If you're not sure whether this would suit you and you live somewhere with a Clinique counter, it's well worth visiting them to try it out.
I use this over my Estée Double Wear foundation, it looks really natural, keeps the shine at bay all day, and never looks cakey. Stands up to humidity well.
Tips: I only use the sponge for touch ups and just use a big fluffy brush
