I brought rose hill after hearing many rave reviews from youtubers. I have to say I'm not really thrilled with this product but that could be because I don't like lipglosses but I will keep trying it and hopefully my opinion of these will be swayed. These are very opaque for lipglosses and you can wear alone or on top of lipsticks. The product has a consistent formula and not patchy. The smell is not very nice, a very fake chemical smell, its really hard to describe but not too overpowering. The packaging is quite neat with a mirror on the side and lights in the lid. However I do find the light to be very annoying and have looked at trying to turn the lights off but with no success The product itself is quite expensive. I brought mine off trade me for about $30. It is best to buy these when youtubers give out discount coupon codes and shipping is free. I have brought a bundle recently this way from gerard cosmetics and just waiting on them to arrive.

A few months ago there was a discount code to get a bundle of three lipglosses for around $30-ish including shipping. So many YouTubers had been raving about how great these glosses were so I decided to try them out for myself . Firstly I was a bit confused as I'd expected them to all have the same packaging, all three have different packaging. Two have silver lids with the labelling printed in white onto the tube, one is Gerard Cosmetics white the other is branded as Whitening Lightening then the third has a gold lid and the Gerard Cosmetics 'GC' logo printed onto the lid. This isn't a huge deal, I just guess I'd expected them all to be from the same stock. The packaging is okay, I do think it would be more attractive if they were all the same and you had the choice to switch the lights off on the wand which can be a bit distracting.
The formula I feel varies from colour to colour but all three I purchased carry the same scent which smelt familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on what it was until summer rolled around and I had to break out the fly spray again- that's it, their scent reminds me of fly spray but with a slight hint of fruit. It's chemically and very artificially scented, not extremely horrible to the point I can't tolerate it but certainly not appealing to me either.
Coral Craze- The colour is nice but the formulation lets it down big time. Super sticky, gluggy looking/feeling and patchy! I haven't found a way to apply this without looking like I have really dry, chapped patches on my lips.
Butter Cream- This one is a very wearable nude pink shade on me, the formula is nicer than Coral Craze but I do find it sinks into the lines on my lips and gathers there more than I'd like but that could be a lipgloss thing. If I wear a nude lipliner underneath it's not as bad so overall I do like this colour, it's easy to throw on and is easily wearable.
Seduction- A really pretty bold wine colour that pairs stunningly with MAC Rebel, Diva & Nightmoth. I love this shade, the formula is much like Butter Cream in my opinion but I think with it being a darker colour I don't notice is sinking into the lines on my lips as much.
Overall I think these are just glosses, nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the normal RRP!
I usually steer clear of lip glosses because I find a lot of them drying and messy but after seeing all the rave reviews I had to give them a go.
All lip glosses were purchased from Whitening Lightening and Gerard Cosmetics so I have a mix of old packaging (silver lids) and new packaging (gold lids). They're light-weight and prone to dents and scratches so mine have had better days.
These are my favourite glosses because they're non-drying, stay in place and have amazing pigmentation. The gloss generally last a good 4-5 hours on my lips.
I absolutely hate the lights, I find it distracting. I don't use the mirror but it's good quality just make sure to remove the thin film of plastic. If you can't see your reflection it means the film is still on the mirror. It took me a couple of tries to find the corner of the film for one gloss so don't despair!
Out of the 6 I own I highly recommend Cocoa Bean and Seduction - both bold colours. I used coupon codes to purchase my lip glosses which I receive via email because I'm subscribed to the website.
Tips: I always wear lipliner/lipstick underneath the gloss but if you prefer to just wear the gloss then use a light hand to apply first layer and then add more coats as needed.
I've heard so much about these lip glosses from all the sponsored reviews on youtube and while I was very skeptical, I found some great coupon codes so decided to try them out.
I got three lip glosses and three lipsticks + shipping for about $90 NZD with my discount code which sounds pricey but when you think about it, thats equivalent to two MAC lipsticks.
The packaging in my opinion is pretty tacky, the whole light up gloss + mirror thing screams cheap tacky $2 shop gloss to me and the mirror doesn't even work, its absolutely hopeless and the reflection on your phone screen would do a better job.
That aside, I was super surprised when I tried the glosses because I actually LOVE them! They are super opaque but blend into the lips for a natural looking shade and are tacky but not sticky. They last me a good few hours which is incredible for a gloss!
They smell pretty bad (chemically/plasticky) however this is not really noticeable unless you stick the wand up to your nose and take a good whiff.
The lipgloss shades I chose are nude (light peachy/brown), sugar mama (baby pink) and buttercream (nude pink), fairly safe shades and I love them all on me. I was a little scared to try the nude because its a lot more peach/brown than I was expecting but because its a gloss and a little less opaque than a lipstick I actually really like it.
Overall I was really impressed by these, I was expecting rubbish and while the packaging is terrible and tacky, the product inside is actually awesome. I will definitely be looking at trying some of the more bold colours.
I think they are overpriced and personally wouldn't pay quite this much for them however there are always plenty of great discount codes floating around so you'd be silly to pay full price!
All I'd been hearing about were the Whitening Lightening/ Gerard Cosmetics lipglosses, so while ordering a lipstick bundle I decided to try a lipgloss bundle too. I'm not a huge fan of lipgloss but hearing people loving these made me want them.
I have shades:
Nude: a peachy nude, this is my favourite out of my 3. It's oaque enough to wear alone but you can also use it over a lipstick.
Coral Craze: I HATE this one! It applies gross and shade doesn't suit me (not its fault!) it kind of looks patchy and gluggy looking. Yuk, the formula doesn't impress me!
Rosehill: this is a pretty, opaque dark rose colour.
They all have a tacky feel which makes them last a while. Not overly sticky but not quite a pleasant feeling either! The scent is really nice, fruity!
The packaging is quite big. They have gold lids which look nice. Doe foot applicator (is that how you describe gloss applicators??) it has a clear body so you can see the colour and product. On the side is a little mirror and the lid has lights in so you can app,y in the dark. I actually find the lights annoying while applying.
Overall I'm not going to be repurchasing any more, lipglosses aren't for everyone and while I'm not overly fussy on them I find these to be very overhyped.
Tips: Always look before direct ordering on YouTube or the Gerard Cosmetics (or whitening lightening) Instagram account for promo codes, they always have 1 or 5 running?
I purchased the shade Nude to try (I am not usually a gloss wearer). I was surprised by how much a gloss can change a look. I teamed the Nude gloss with Gerard Cosmetics Nude lipstick and they were like a marriage made in heaven!! The gloss made the lipstick abit more wearable by giving it abit of moisture to it. And one thing I liked about the gloss was that I could part my lips without that whole sticky/ tackey struggle that most glossed do. The gloss is richly pigmented and applies well with the well designed tip of the wand. Talking of the packaging . . . it is the most stunning lipgloss packaging ever, with 2 little L.E.D lights inside the top lid and with a small mirror on the base, makes this gloss user friendly for travelling or on the go. Now for the longevity of this gloss . . . I find if I wear it alone I need to reapply after eating/ drinking or within at least the few hours of applying, however if worn over top of a lipstick like Gerard Cosmetics Nude lipstick it can last abit longer. I can't wait to try some of their other shades.
Tips: Good lip care is needed!!
