I adore the fragrance in this scrub, almost good enough to eat! I found it worked really well on my legs, arms and butt but it left my decolletage and stomach a little red-not irritated, just red.
Tips: Definitely use it with a mitt or loofah else you'll exfoliate your hands too. Less is more with this scrub, it spreads really well and it's easy to use too much.
I just purchased my first evolu coffee grain body scrub and it is delicious. I have to try not to race down and have a cup of coffee afterwards. Not only are grains gentle on the skin but they do their job and the bonus is a beautiful creamy lather that goes onto the skin and leaves it feeling silky afterwards. The smell is divine and it doesn't feel like you've taken the top layer off your skin like some scrubs. Highly recommended, highly indulgent, good price.
Tips: Dont use too much, a little goes a long way.
I am seriously in love with this scrub. The smell of coffee is just divine. If to use this scrub while in the shower in the morning happy mood is guaranteed for the whole day! It is just so so refreshing, definitely the best choice for coffee lovers. You need small amount and it's wet and easy to apply. Skin is soft and smooth after using the scrub. I then use Evolu body butter and my skin feels amazing.
If you’re a coffee lover and a body-scrub devotee, then this scrub will win you over like it has done with me. The first thing you notice when you take off the lid is the smell! It’s like when you first open a coffee pod or a tin of fresh coffee - the sensuous, rich aroma of coffee hits you in an instant and it’s like nothing else on earth! Same with this glorious, all-natural, Arabica coffee body scrub - it has the best smell ever! I use it while in the bath and not only does it smell wonderful but it indeed does leave my skin feeling ‘invigorated’ after use, so it’s a product that’s true to its name! It wakes the skin up and refreshens it. I love Evolu and this scrub is worth buying not only for a lovely bath experience but also because it leaves your skin feeling really good after use.
I used my Fly Buys points up pre Xmas, and managed to score this Evolu Invigorating Body Scrub - wow! I'll be getting this one from Fly Buys again soon, it's awesome.
The scrub comes beautifully packaged in a soft teal and white box, housing a generous hard plastic clear crew top pottle with a black lid and white writing. It looks expensive, it feels luxurious to use, it's a lovely little parcel.
The scrub itself features coffee, of course, but also harakeke and kawakawa; the addition of these two uniquely kiwi faves gives it a unique selling point. This is a wet scrub, so it's far less messy than the dry powdery ones, and it's very easy to scoop out enough for one use. The pottle is a generous 200g, and it's lasted ages so far; a little of this goes much further than a little of the dry scrub.
The scent is coffee, with a little sweetness to it - it actually reminds me of Japanese canned coffee, or cold brew, more than, say, espresso.
Skin is left feeling scrubbed, clean, and scented - but it's not a harsh feeling, and the harakeke binds moisture, meaning that your skin doesn't dry out but isn't left with a residue either.
All in all, I'd actually pay the $35 for this, but why bother when it's available free on Fly Buys at the moment?
Tips: Try it! Use those Fly Buys points! It only costs 135 of them :)
Coffee in the morning in a cup and coffee in the shower, mornings just dont come better than this.
This amazing scrub comes in a generous 200ml clear plastic pot with a black lid. The pot has pretty decals on it and lots of information and instructions as well.
I found this srcub just perfect. The smell is amazing and after you use it your body feels amazing. You are so soft and supple. The natural ingrediants are a great mix and are so invigorating.
The only thing I can say that I am not too keen on is the colour, in the shower it looks like you have had a bit of an accident, however, it is totally worth it.
Tips: Rinse your shower well after you use this.
The smell is simply amazing! However, I felt it would have been better if it had a facial scrub instead of a body scrub. The gritty parts were so large and hard to use, I didn't feel like it was doing my skin any favours.
When it comes to body scrubs my fave is coffee scrubs. They polish my skin and leave it super soft and smooth but with less grit than sugar or salt and the grains don't dissolve as soon as it touches my warm skin in shower. Now all the coffee scrubs I've used in the past have been loose scrubs which while I love the results I have loose grinds that get everywhere in the shower and coffee leaves stains which stay there till scrubbed off unless you rinse down the grinds down once you're done showering. This scrub has the coffee grinds anchored in a cream so they don't make as big a mess as the loose grinds. I can get the soft smooth skin but not worry about the mess as much because the grinds don't fly everywhere. Now as far as softness and smoothness I get slightly softer and smoother skin with the loose grinds but this gives me almost the same results and I don't have to worry about brown marks on my skin so don't need to scrub first and then soap up like I do with my other coffee scrubs. It smells nice too. Now this more expensive than my other loose coffee scrubs but that slight convenience of not getting loose coffee grinds everywhere makes it worth it for me.
Tips: Even though this is in cream I still would avoid getting water in it. So I don't store mine in the shower. And I use a spoon to get the amount I need for each limb.
