Gillette Venus Snap Portable Razor Review

So handy for when going away for a roadtrip or overnight. Just as great as a regular razor but in a more portable form. Would recommend

I love the Gillette Venus Snap Portable Razor. I bought it a few years ago when it was released in New Zealand and it has really lasted well to this day as a portable razor for my gym bag. I love the compact and discreet size and it’s cute but also very effective, even with minimal water or shaving foam. The great thing about the Venus razor line is that the shaving cartridges are interchangeable so I am always able to try a variety of Venus razor blades e.g. for sensitive skin, moisture and 3 or 5 blade.

i was amazed at how compact this razor was but yet easy to use and not difficult to hold or use in any way and very useful that the venus razor replacements all fit it still. the carry case is just wonderful, the idea, concept and design is 10 out of 10 if you ask me

Love the size, so good for travel. A little disappointed with the case as it would of been much better fully closed to be able to put it in hand bag straight after use. But other than that love it. This brand has to be the best razor for women as well.

Gillette Venus Snap is so portable, nice for travel. The package is cute and product too. It works very well, creates smoothness.This razor is very affordable.

I travel quite a lot for work, and visiting family in the weekends. So I often like to find the latest travel products to see how they work for me while I'm travelling. This in particular is great as I hate packing my razor as I don't have a cover or anything to put it in. Gilette Venus is also not my usual razor choice so I thought it would be good to try.

Aesthetically the packaging looks awesome, a rounded blue packaging that you can see the razor through. I also like there are a few holes on the bottom side so that any water that get in it can drain out again. The razor itself looks very strange with the wee round handle. The pink part in the middle is spongey and really good to get your fingers into so you don't feel like you are going to drop it. Even though it is completely different to the usual razor packaging it is still really easy to use and doesn't stop you from being able to get a good shave. The razor fits tightly in the outer packaging so it isn't rattling around in there.

The razor itself is the part that I'm not a huge fan of. Although with the five blades you can get an extremely close shave, but the moisture strip around it annoys me. In the steamy bathroom they always puff up quite a lot so they mean you can't get as closer shave. They are extremely moisturising though so at least they are good for when you are travelling to not feel like you need shaving gel when you are travelling.

Really I like the design of the razor, but not the blades itself. However due to the design you can add any other Gilette razor cartridge, so I might look at doing that in the future once this one dulls.
