I always feel extremely well protected with this physical sunscreen. Seeing the white zinc particles on my skin might not be aesthetically pleasing, but it lets me know that I will not suffer sunburn. The white cast effect is present in any zinc-based formula that is SPF 40 or higher, so it's not unique to Oasis by any means.
The only downside is that because the formula dries quite quickly (which I usually love) it doesn't allow much time for you to vigorously rub in the cream to eliminate the whiteness.
It really is sweat-proof though, and the bonus of being water proof makes it an absolute essential when I'm swimming or at the beach.
But let's just talk about the smell for a minute. Oasis sunscreens across the board have a distinct smell. I found it really icky at first, but am used to it now. I would much rather have a sunblock smell and know I'm getting enough sun protection, than have fragrance and photosensitive essential oils added which can cause major issues with both the quality of the product and delicate skin.
My family have used Oasis sunscreen for years now. This sunscreen is waterproof, reef-safe and only uses ingredients that are 100% safe for me and my family.
Tbh my husband hates it, because it's hard to rub in. My kids always complain about looking like ghosts!
But I love it because I can see where they have missed with sun protection!
I'll keep repurchasing this one.
Tips: Give it time to sink in.
