Manicare Sonic Mini Rechargeable Facial Cleansing Brush Reviews

I haven't ever used anything like this before so I was very curious to give it a go, but also a little apprehensive that it could be a little harsh. I have combination skin leaning more to the dry side.  My usual cleansing routine involves using a separate makeup remover to take off all my thick black eye makeup and then following up with a cream cleanser applied with my hands and then rinsed off.  Very simple.

The packaging was a pretty straightforward cardboard box that was immediately discarded.  No sense using that to store an item that is frequently wet.  The handle is a little pink hemispherical unit with a detachable brush head.  The brush head pops off to reveal the charge port.  The plastic brush guard was nice touch that would be helpful for travel.  I'm not sure I would trust the on and off switch to not activate by itself in my bag, but it probably wouldn't be the end of the world if it did.  Charging was pretty quick via the USB cord.  I opened the package for the first time when I got home from work and it was ready to go well before bed time. 

Operation was simple with two speeds. You can wet your face and apply your cleanser directly to the brush head or just apply cleanser to your face and start brushing. One minute is the maximum recommended time.

My skin can be a bit wimpy but it was less harsh than I expected. It did a great job of cleaning, especially those stray bits of foundation around my nose that I often miss and have to go back to clean again! It is a waterproof unit but they caution against getting the charging port wet. I felt a bit nervous using it in the shower but it has survived its experience. Honestly I don't know if the vibrating function made any difference to the cleaning function at all, or whether the magic is all in the bristles. For this reason I would be hesitant to spend the $60 myself but I was very happy to be selected for trial.

I loved the first week of feeling virtuously clean and scrubbed. My skin stayed a slightly better version of the same which is great. I was worried about irritation, dryness or breakouts from trying something new. I'm taking a break from it for a few days at the moment as I have a terrible cold and my nose is raw from tissues. Once my face heals up though I will happily use it again.

I was so excited to be picked for this trial thanks BR. I had been eyeing up a much much much more expensive comparative product at farmers that was about 4x the price so this at a fraction of the price and with interchangeable heads is a total winner.

One huge perk - no batteries! Nothing worse than using something that then goes flat.. I never replace batteries. I haven’t needed to charge this since the first charge and it’s been weeks. So a charger is a huge bonus.

It’s beautiful in all it’s pretty pale pinkness. Really cute and handy. Fits nicely in the hand so isn’t too big or small. The heads clip on and off so it’s nice you have the option to have a brush/massage/silicone brush head attachment to use - this set only has the soft brush but other heads are sold seperately but still handy.. especially if your face has different needs.

I see life pharmacy are selling these now and are actually giving away the double brush head pack with purchase which makes for an amazing deal. They will be getting the silicone head which will be on my buy list when I see it pop up.

I used this as the brush and a massager. The brush was gentle enough for 2x a day. I have cut back to 1x a day now even.. as my skin is quite smooth so it has to have been working some sonic magic.

To use as a massager I actually just turned it over to the soft pink side and massaged my face. It was absolutely amazing for helping me through a sinus infection just massaging into my sinus areas of the face with the hot water gave some great relief.

The head itself vibrates it doesn’t rotate like other facial brushes. But it’s a nice gentle way to treat your skin.. your not left with raw red patches. Plus it’s waterproof so can be used in the shower unlike a lot of other products.

I can’t wait for the silicone heads to accompany this. It makes for such a versatile product that’s easily switched up clipping between heads. The silicones will be handy for cleaning makeup off so definitely anticipating the sale of them.

It’s easy to clean and dry. It air drys and has a little tray that protects the bristles while facing downwards. So it’s still pretty in pink no scum buildup.

I have sensitive skin and this wee gem has improved the quality of my dry damaged winter skin. I had areas of a few spots and dry patches - it was shocking condition. This has improved the quality of my skin.. it’s soft and smooth. No dry patches or peeling flaking winter skin to be seen at the moment. While using it felt nice and gentle not too harsh or tickly.. and my skin was always soft after using straight out of the shower.

If you have been eyeing up more expensive brands like I had been drooling over consider this as a cheaper alternative that also has the capability to be switched up or used by multiple users (if hubby decides to have a go) with the changable heads.

I was excited to be chosen to trail the Sonic Mini. This arrived in a cute package with a pink bow to show case the facial cleansing brush. Charging was quick and instructions easy to follow. Clip on the head and activate by pressing the power button 1-2 times to increase speed. Replacement heads are sold separately if needed. Recommendation was to use 2x daily which I thought was too much. Water resistant, light weight and quiet, the cleaning aspect actually worked well. I applied cleanser to the brush and then directly to wet skin. The head cleaned easily with soap after use. Fun to use, this would make a great gift however I personally wouldn’t buy it as at $59.99 a little expensive.

My first impression was that the brush looks modern and chic. I think the colours are very cute and feminine. The shape and size are very comfortable to hold. The bristles are extremely soft, feel nice against my face and it's easy to clean after each use.

It's quick to charge and if you use it twice daily (as recommended) that's still only two minutes a day, so each charge should last a long time.

I've found it easy to use in the shower (yes, it's waterproof!). The material is non slippery even when wet.

The next best thing about this brush is that each use takes only one minute. It's so easy to use, it feels effortless. There are instructions on how to move it across your face but it's pretty intuitive.

After using it daily for a week and a half I've noticed less pimples (pimples have been bothering me for months) and my skin feels softer and smoother. I definitely plan to continue using it.

Overall, I think the brush is high quality and I recommend it as a nice luxury. It would also make a lovely gift.

Other than being THE CUTEST gadget ever, it actually works. I have combination skin and during the winter months my forehead manages to be oily AND dry at the same time...oh the joys...so I was definitely looking forward to see what it could do for me. You don't have to worry about stripping your skin, because it's so gentle. I used it on the low setting in the morning and the strong setting in the evening. A definite selling point to me was the fact that it's WATERPROOF! So of course I had to use it in the shower. It fits comfortably in your hand and the rubber coating means you still have a grip on it even when it gets wet. Genius! Super easy to charge (one charge lasts for days!) so it's perfect for if you are off on holiday and want it to come with you. Really great if you want to pamper yourself (everyday!)

This is the first time I’ve used a electronic face cleansing brush, and it did not disappoint. The brush is soft, cute in pink, compact in size, quiet when in use and easy to use just push a button to turn on and once more for more speed. I used it with a charcoal face scrub, only needed a small amount. It made my skin feel very soft after use. And with a toner and moisturiser afterwards my skin was silky smooth. The fact that it can be used in the shower is a big plus for me, makes using it much easier and user friendly. It plugs in via USB so can charge easily. I’ve been using mine a week twice daily and haven’t had to recharge yet. I will be buying more brushes for it in the future.

Should start by saying only been using it for two weeks. Initially I was sceptical that the product could make a difference in such a short time but it definitely has. I think my skin is more glowy, I guess as it’s taking off dead skin or the blood flow is stimulated by the buzzing? I think I have less blocked pores on my nose too. Its been easy to use the product and I like that they provided a stand to put it in while the brush dries. Downside: I wasn’t sure how much I should move it round at first and there wasn’t any instructions on that part of how to use it. Also as it only comes with a USB cable not a charger that isn’t ideal. I’ll keep using it after the trial though and will look out for the other two products in the range as I’d like to see what they’re like.
