Fantastic price as most powders in NZ are way overpriced. I found there to be only a few colours to choose from which wasn't great but maybe my store just doesn't stock them all. Loved how matte it made me look but felt like it didn't match my skin tone very well.

I didn't expect much from this product simply because of the small price tag, but I had run out of my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish and couldn't afford to repurchase it. I bought Stay Matte in the shade Transparent, as I'm olive skinned, there were no testers and I didn't want to risk purchasing a shade that would leave me looking orange or too pale. I've hit pan after using this for about a month and am highly impressed with it's performance - I rarely have to touch up when I usually have to powder once an hour due to my oily skin. I haven't yet seen whether this causes ghost skin when using a flash camera but the colour truly is transparent and creates a silky finish. I will be repurchasing and would highly recommend this to anyone with oily skin on a budget.
Tips: Purchase the transparent shade if you're unsure of your colour, there were no testers when I bought this and I didn't find the swatches I found on google very helpful.
This is the first matte powder I've purchased and is a life saver for preventing shine through out the day! I have the translucent shade and found that I did need to touch up over my t zone during the day.I was impressed that this powder lasted 4-5 hours before needing a touch up :) When I first used this powder I made the mistake of applying too much, and this made my face feel tight and cakey. A light swirl is all that is needed over your oily areas !
Tips: Apply a small amount over your face, tapping with a kabuki brush to avoid looking cakey
I use the translucent version of this powder on a daily basis to help set my foundation and to stop my face from turning into an oil slick by 3pm. I think it helps somewhat, better than other powders I have tried, but I guess nothing is really going to stop my pores leaking oil all over the place haha. The translucent is great as it doesn't seem to alter the colour of my base at all, and doesnt make it look cakey or chalky.
Tips: Apply with a stippling brush in dapping motions to avoid moving your foundation around or leaving brush marks.
After watching Shaanxos review about the Rimmel stay matte powder I went scouting for this. They didnt have any in my colour so i ended up buying the translucent colour which i was told was great for all skintones as it was a clear powder.
After applying my foundation I use a fluffy brush to pat it onto my skin before brushing it off, you only need a small amount and if you use too much powder it starts caking. Its a great powder to apply on your T zone if you get oily there during the day. I also like to put this over my bronzer if ive added too much. I cant remember how much i picked this up for as i brought alot of other products. It comes in a round container which is easy to open, the screw has broken so i cant securely close it which is a let down because ive onlu had this for 2 weeks.
The product works well and its very cheap, I want to buy the stay matte powder in my shade to try too.
I picked this up because I wanted a spare powder to carry in my handbag/gym bag for touch ups. I really like this powder. It touches up your makeup without it going cakey. The finish is matte but not flat. I am not keen on the packaging but the product is very inexpensive so I guess you can't have everything.
Tips: A little goes a long way and if you are using this for touch ups and you're oily, blot first.
Do I stay matte..? Up to a point, yes :) I do have oily skin so this works to an extent and then I have to touch up with some blot powder during the day (currently using Neutrogena shine control - Invisible)
I pat this onto my Tzone with a brush and it doesn't look chalky or cakey and then lightly brush the rest of my face. It does have some oily control compared to regular powder but don't expect a miracle.
It is super affordable and there is a range of colours to choose from. Just don't throw this into your handbag as the lid will probably break or come off.
Having dry skin I tend to avoid powder, but I love the Stay Matte by Rimmel! It doesn't cake, does it's job and definitely helps my foundation stay. Really affordable and great range of colours.
I heard about this product after seeing it featured in a few of my favourite youtubers videos (Tanya Burr, Zoella) and I did not regret it! Such an amazing powder and really affordable, I have dry skin & I'm always scared powders will make it worse but this didn't at all1
Tips: Team it with the Wake Me Up foundation for the perfect base
This powder is my holy grail, it does what it says it does and is good for all skin types. It's not heavily purfumed so it causes little, if none irritation. If you put too much on it becomes to look cakey and sits on the top of your skin.
