essano Collagen Boost Certified Organic Night Crème Review

I grabbed this while travelling as I’d forgotten my usual night cream. I have used lots of the other essano products and loved them! For me, this cream didn’t absorb into my skin at all! Applying it I was left with white streaks of it all over my face that just wouldn’t soak into my skin. I continued to use it just because I didn’t want to waste the product and in case it was just a once off and my skin was damp or i had applied too much etc. Unfortunately it continued to happen! The results were what I would expect from a night cream, my skin did feel really hydrated but I wouldn’t buy again just because of how it applied.

Essano Collagen Boot Certified Night Creme comes beautifully packaged in a small glass jar which looks luxurious on my beauty shelf.

The texture of the cream is very thick, so a little goes a long way. The first night I applied far too much and it took ages to rub into my skin and disappear. By the second night I had gotten my application right and used a pea sized amount for my face and neck over my serum treatment. The cream spread easily and absorbed rapidly making my skin feel nourished and moisturised without feeling greasy. When I woke up in the next morning, my skin had a radiant glow.

Essano Collagen Boot Certified Night Creme has quite a strong fragrance of the natural extracts used, which is why I am giving this cream 4 stars instead of 5. But, I do like that it contains natural extracts and is also not tested on animals.

I will continue to use it and think it could also be a great multitasker on any other rough and dry areas of skin such as the cuticles.

I have to start this review by saying I am a massive Essano fan. I have been using a wide range of their products for a few years now and could not recommend them enough. I got this particular eye creme in a gift set type pack from Farmers (it was part of the Christmas stock) and I bought it because I wanted the makeup bag it came in. I wouldn't usually buy this variety of night creme because I'm not sure that I need the help of the collagen yet. I think I may switch to buying this one though because I really enjoyed using it. I love that Essano is made in NZ, is certified organic and is as natural as it could be. The product comes in a glass jar which I love because it is very much recyclable. The heavy glass jar and nice gold writing on it makes the packaging very attractive. The formula of this night creme is lovely. It's thick but not so much so that it feels like I've covered my face in a night creme blanket. It sinks into my skin nicely, even on top of the matching serum, and makes my skin feel hydrated and soft. The fragrance is lovely and just the right amount. Overall this product is great for my skin and I think it is amazing value for the $24.99 price point.

This night crème is light-weight and creamy. It absorbs easily into my skin, which is important as I use it just before going to bed (so don't want residue on my pillow). It is very moisturising and feels like a nice cool layer of hydration after cleansing. It has a subtle rosehip scent, which again is good as I don't like strong scents when going to sleep.

Love that it is a New Zealand brand and that is comes in a glass jar. However the overall packaging is a little deceiving as the box is a lot bigger than the jar. I get that it is so it stands out on the shelf, but it seems very wasteful. Bit on the expensive side, but it goes on special quite often at Countdown.

I'm am loving this cream I struggle with dry skin and this at night hydrates my skin and feels super soft in the morning my skin feels plumped and super soft it's my absolute fave goes on really well no greasy after feel.

I was very excited to try this as I’m a big fan of natural organic skin care and I love the fact that it contains rosehip oil. I’m also excited to see if it does what it says it does and reduces fine lines and wrinkles - time will tell! The first I noticed was the cute packaging (I’m a sucker for something that looks nice in my bathroom cabinet). It is a small pottle which made me a bit wary of how long it would last - but I soon discovered you only need a very small amount. It smells great and is not too overwhelming. The product absorbs well as long as you use the right amount, and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and firm, without being too heavy or greasy. That being said, I did feel a little sticky after about five minutes or so. I’ll keep using the product, but I personally prefer the feeling of a serum and I’m tempted to try this together with the Collagen Boost Serum.

I have received this cream for a trial, I must say am impressed with this night cream. I have always loved using cosmetic brands that are as natural as possible. And when I saw the first ingredient, which is water, I felt satisfied, in addition to the fact that the names of the other ingredients can be understood without much problem, which tells me that they are the most natural. This product has essential oils for our skin such as rosehip oil, sunflower seed oil, flaxseed oil and vitamin E, which are excellent emollients for our skin that hydrate and fortify. Its packaging is very fine and brings all the necessary information from its benefits, mode of application, skin type, ingredients, etc. The cream comes in a dark glass jar, it feels very solid, which also includes information about the cream. That seems great to me because that way I can correctly identify it when I take it out of its box. The texture of the cream is thick, its colour is off-white, its smell is peculiar to jojoba oil, or seeds. The cream is recommended for normal to dry skin. My skin is a combination type. But in my case, I feel free to apply it, because I have already used jojoba oil and never had any problem. I apply very little on the oily areas like my forehead and chin. And I apply to touches on the other parts of the face. My skin absorbs it super-fast. And I love that because it makes the application easier and does not take my time. Honestly, I don't have many wrinkles, but I have one between the eyebrows, which is where I have applied it with more patience with a slight massage. In the morning I have noticed that the wrinkle becomes less accentuated. And my face feels soft.

Firmness and moisturized, two words that explain how this product has helped my skin. I use this cream every night after I've applied the collagen boost serum. After I've used the night cream I also apply the overnight mask cream so I'm fairly certain the combination of all 3 have helped my skin significantly. My skin is definitely alot firmer and in the mornings alot more hydrated then it was 8 weeks ago. I've also noticed the fine lines by my eyes are alot less noticeable. . The cream itself is quite silky when applied to the face and my skin soaks it up. I will definitely keep using this product.

This product came with some other Essano products in the latest BBBE. The other products were very nice and I hoped this one would be as well. And it is. It comes in a pot with a screw top which is nice and easy to use. The product is a moderately thick white cream. It has a slight scent of rosehip but not so much as to be icky. It is soft and silky on my skin but doesn't absorb as nicely as I'd like. I have mature skin and some products don't absorb into it very quickly. But it does absorb eventually and leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh and hydrated.

I do believe it helps with fine lines as my skin feels a little more plump and the effect lasts from application at night to a soft feel and more fresh look in the morning. It doesn't irritate the sensitive patches on my skin. So I am impressed with it, especially as it is only $20.

My one criticism is the packaging. The box is way larger than the pot. This seems unnecessary and is annoying.

I recently discovered that my skin is in urgent need of more care during the colder season, and that there are more little wrinkles popping up with age. I did not want to spend a huge amount for a night cream, so had a look at the supermarket, and bought essano Collagen Boost Certified Organic Night Crème on special. I have tried products from the essano brand before, and liked that they are using organic ingredients, and are not doing any testing on animals. Always great to support a NZ company aswell. I have been using the night creme for a couple of weeks now, and find it helping in making my face feel smoother during the day. Application is easy after cleansing, and creme goes into your skin easily. Nothing worse than a fatty film on top your skin when you go to bed that ends up all over your pillow! It has a pleasant, unintrusive smell, and packaging size (50g) seems to be sufficient for at least 4-6 weeks. I think I might need something that is even a bit richer, but for the meantime, this product will help in nourishing my skin at night.
