This pressed powder comes in a handy compact case with a mirror- perfect to keep in your bag at work or when traveling! The case is a hard, purple plastic and it’s been dropped multiple times and never broken. It has the colour shade number of the bottom of the case so you can colour match it to other products in the covergirl range which is handy for a flawless look. I liked the formula of this foundation. It wasn’t heavy or cakey on my skin if I used other products. I was very happily surprised / shocked that it did brighten by skin, giving me a nice natural shine. This pressed powder became my go-to if I was in a hurry and didn’t have time do use concealer for that brightening effect. The found that this foundation provided a nice light to medium coverage, depending on how much product you use. It didn’t last all day and needed some touch ups in the evening.

I picked this up at Countdown for about $15 on special and can’t believe I haven’t tried it before. Cover girl products were what I started with as a teenager and I’ve always enjoyed their powders due to my very shiny T-Zone. As I’m now in my 40’s I still use powder foundation regularly but am pickier as they can emphasise the lines. I’ve tried this with a brush but actually prefer to use the puff it comes with. This will set your foundation but I prefer it on it’s own with a little concealer underneath. It gives a light to medium coverage and looks very natural on the skin. While it doesn’t last all day it does stand up to my oils for a decent amount of time. The only drawback is that there is a very limited shade range I used 110 which is the lightest shade. I will definitely be purchasing this again and again and will have one in my purse for touch ups.
Tips: Use a primer underneath to create a smooth canvas.
