Neutrogena Ultra Sheer clear face Sunscreen liquid lotion SPF30 Review

I have quite fair skin and work outside in the harsh NZ sun a lot, therefore I need to use a lot of sunscreen. My skin is prone to breakouts and so I wanted to find something that was not too greasy and wouldn't block my pores too much.

I picked this up from Countdown for around $20 and I am finding it really great! It feels really light on the skin and provides good protection against the sun.

I am very aware of the damage the sun does to the skin, so an SPF 30 sunscreen is an essential in my routine. I have oily skin, wear makeup daily and am prone to break outs, so finding the right sunscreen is no easy task. I picked up the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Clear Face Sunscreen from the supermarket, with promises of being 'oil-free,' 'water light texture' and 'for breakout prone skin.'

This product is thin and spread easily, but still feels like it gives good coverage. There is ZERO stickiness and a very, very minimal scent. I apply this product after moisturiser and my face feels no different - there is no tackiness and it doesn't feel like I have an extra layer on my skin. Whether I am wearing a full coverage base, or just powder and BB cream, there is no interference with my makeup application.

This product makes no difference to my makeup or the appearance of my skin during the day. There is no increased oiliness, patchiness or fading. I have not broken out with this product - in fact my skin is completely clear. This is now an absolute essential in my routine, and I won't be trying any further facial sunscreens.

This stuff is great. Light but effective. I have it in SPF 50 and use about a teaspoon on my face and neck. Non greasy this product provides great coverage. The only thing I don't like about it is that it 'pills' on re application .

Lately I’ve been a bit obsessed with Neutrogena . Probably because most weeks countdown always have 50% off and I’m a sucker for sales.

Packaging comes in a basic tube . Labelling is clear easy to read . Consistency is thick and white feels soft and creamy . Scent reminds me of clean linen .

I like to put this on myself and it absorbs nicely . No oily residue like most sunscreens which can be quite annoying.

Overall I’m happy with how this sunscreen protects my skin. I think it’s priced fairly. I would love to see sunscreens in schools for kids to use .

I've been using this sunscreen on my face for the last year, ever since I copped on to the extent of the damage I've done to my skin and the importance of wearing sunscreen daily, no matter the weather! I haven't forgotten my decolletage, I just use a normal (cheaper) body sunscreen on that :)

I apply this after my moisturiser in the morning (it should always be the last part of your skincare to ensure optimal protection), let it soak in for a couple of minutes, and then I go in with my foundation. It doesn't disrupt my makeup at all, which is super important as I am a daily makeup wearer.

It's super light weight, not greasy at all and feels dry to the touch after application. It doesn't irritate my skin, or more importantly, my eyes, which other sunscreens tend to do for some bizarre reason.

I highly recommend this sunscreen! To avoid the higher price tag, pick it up when it's on sale at the supermarket as they drop the price quite significantly. If you're only using it for your face it will last you a good 6+ months so is worth the investment regardless!

I hate the greasy feeling of most sunscreens on my face which puts me off using the stuff altogether - not good. This is oil free and once it has dried down, feels light and more like skincare than sunscreen. I usually just use this one on its own if I am going on holiday or to the beach but it does also sit well under makeup. I've never been burnt using this.

One tube lasts ages and I've had plenty left over after using it several times a day on month long trips. I'm conscious that SPF expires after a short time so I tend to use the rest up on my body once my body sunscreen has run out. I would definitely use this again and I recommend it to other sunscreen haters.

I loved this sunscreen so light on my face and no irritation. Wearing over moisturiser and under makeup daily. Such a fantastic product that doesn’t make my eyes water. Although I like this product I have been using the dry touch Neutrogena sunscreen on my face which is of a similar quality and better value for money.

I am not a fan of sunscreen on my face, it is greasy and breaks me out so bad. I have tried so many and was about to give up until I finally tried this. It comes in a tube and is really inexpensive which is great. One tube has lasted me ages.

It is such a light sunscreen that it really just feels like putting on moisturiser, it does not feel greasy on my face and the best part is I get no breakouts at all! Woohoo! It also doesn't make my eyes water like almost every other sunscreen does. I have never been burnt while wearing this, it is so good.

This is by far the best facial sunscreen I have ever used and I will continue to use. If you have trouble with heavy,  greasy sunscreen then I suggest you try this.

I'm so happy I discovered this relatively cheap yet efficient and non-greasy sunscreen! It's perfect under makeup, doesn't cause breakouts, doesn't smell bad or over-powering, and just does the job it needs to do - protecting my face from yet more sun damage!
