LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick Review

My sister gave me a deep burgundy shade from this lipstick line . I wouldn’t normally buy a lot from this make up line as there are highs and lows in between their products.

Packaging comes in bold black casing . With bright lettering. I don’t think the lid casing is sturdy like others. I got Runway which is a deep burgundy colour. It’s smooth with application matte finish not patchy . I find it does come off slightly with eating and drinking .

Overall I think it’s priced affordable. I would like to collect more colours from this range. Would make a good present topper for any gift too .

I'm not a huge fan of lipstick since having kids and becoming a SAHM but lately I've been wanting to add a pop of colour to my lips. Because I'm not a huge fan, I'm also not really in to dropping a heap of coin on a product that, in reality, I'll use for a week or two then it will be resigned to the back of the cupboard. I'd heard rave review about these lipsticks and decided to give them a go, simply because they seemed cheap and cheerful.

I'm glad I did, and to be honest, I've got the lipstick bug back. I got the shade Snuggle and it's a beautiful brown/mauve/pink/nude. It glides on and dries quickly, with a lovely colour.

Sure, it didn't last the day, but it got me through a meeting and a coffee date. But while it didn't last, it also didn't flake or crack or bead.

With a low price point, I'm keen to get more shades and adding a bit more colour to my every day.

I love this lippy. I boight if for about $6 in a beautiful dusty pink called "blessed". I bought it because I am addicted to dusty pinks and it was cheap, I didn't expect a lot. It smells lovely and sweet but not sickening, and there's little to no flavour to it, which I like. It's not as long lasting as a liquid matte, but it has a beautiful matte finish. What I love most is how soft and silky it feels both going on and wearing it, which means I am more than happy to reapply after eating, anyway, because I just love how it makes my lips feel. I do find it builds up a little around the corners of the mouth, though. I feel this is a trade off for it not drying to a complete chalky matte. I will keep using.

Well I got this on one of my sale websites and was really excited to try it as I hadn't used a matte lippy for fear of it drying out my sensitive lips. I LOVE the bright vivid colour, Love the way it feels when I first put it on (all nice and soft) and love how matte it is. Unfortunately it does dry out after a while which is bung but I do still love and use it because of the vivid colour and matte look. It does come off nicely and even though it dries out my lips don't.

I think this lippy was $10 and it's the kind of quality you would expect. I purchased the shade Raven and I have to say it's pigmented but not in one swipe. It takes a few layers to build up a good pigment. It smells sweet in a way. I like it overall.

I have the LA Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick in Gossip, a true, vibrant red.

PROS: As it promises in the description, these are very pigmented lipsticks, it applies nice and quickly and dries relatively quickly. It is medium-long wearing, I would often wear this shade when I was working at a bar and it would usually only require one touch up throughout the night.

CONS: Honestly, like most matte lipsticks... it is drying. The description talks about how it's infused with shea butter for moisture etc. etc... I think the initial application is creamy but once you've been wearing this for a while it does get drying and reapplying can make it a bit crumbly.

CONCLUSION: Good product overall.. The pro's and con's sort of balance each other out.

I’ve been seeing this LA Girl Flat Velvet lipstick collection around on vlogs and blogs while I was on the hunt for matte lipsticks that don’t dry my lips. I decided to buy the lipstick shade relentless, which is a beautiful deep red colour.

The lipstick glided on smoothly on my lips and best of all the colour stayed matte without drying my lips. My lips were moisturised and felt comfortable the whole time I had it on. I applied it twice to keep it long lasting, but it does come off after eating or drinking.

I found that the LA Girl Matte Flat lipsticks are perfect to use whenever I didn’t want to waste my expensive ones. It’s cheap and affordable, I would recommend it.

I had been eyeing these up as a cheap trial of matte lipstick. Bought VaVoom shade, a vampy dark purple. Somewhat darker than my usual repertoire but I was ready for a change. Upon application I decided I liked wearing it. A very nice texture, it became matte, and it had quite good sticking power. The scent of coconut I could do without but that was bearable. What did annoy me however, and is the reason I am chucking it out, is that after 2 weeks, with the lid fully sealed, it has dried out. One of the main selling points for me was the creamy texture, but the top end of the lipstick was no longer slick.
