I was lucky enough to purchase this when BH Cosmetics were having a sale - I paid $34 nzd. :)
Let's start with the case, it feels like quality. Soft leathery feel and folds up into a neat little purse and it has little designs on it - it's really just incredibly adorable. Even if I didn't like the brushes, the brush purse is definitely a keeper.
The brushes themselves are great for someone starting out their makeup kit. The handles are long and sturdy and the bristles are soft to the touch.
There are sooo many useful brushes in here! For every big brush you have, theres a smaller one included too. Big blending brush, small blending brush. Even the array of liner brushes is just fabulous. My favourite is the bent eyeliner brush. It's so easy to get into the nooks that are often hard to reach. With this kit, you have the tools to create ANY look you could want.
I love all my BH brushes in this kit. They're a very welcomed edition of my own collection and I highly recommend investing in this kit!
just bought these brushes direct form BH Cosmetics because i needed brushes (especially eye brushes) and didn't want to pay for xobeauty or sigma brushes. they had a sale on and they were $USD26 plus shipping to NZ which was $USD15.37. came to about $NZD63.38. the USD to NZD is pretty bad at the moment but it still works out cheaper than buying this set in NZ
when you first get the set, they smell like a plastic factory, so wash the brushes hahaha. they come in a really big case which looks like a hand bag haha the handles are all the same silver and grey sparkle colour, and they have black bristles with a red tinge on them. (i do wish they had the brush names on them) they are all synthetic..but there are only 3 "natural bristle" eye brushes so i'm cool with that. I'm not too fussed about the brush holder as i already have one that i made and it's not as big to travel with hahaha. the handles of these brushes are beautiful. they stand tall in my brush holder and are nice and long to hold (roughly 17cm from bottom of bristles to the bottom of the handle inclusive of the ferrule)
still to find out if i have any fall out
Tips: wash the brushes before use. some of the dye may come out in the suds and a couple of hairs from the natural ones; that's fine. as they dry, you may notice the dye on the bristles leaves marks so don't dry them on a white towel like i did hahaha
