I have this conditioner and the matching shampoo, and I have to say it’s weird that I purchased these products, considering the fact that before I had brought them, I had rarely seen them around and I had definitely not heard or seen any reviews on them, but something about the amazingly pretty packaging, and the fact that they were really affordable of I herb made me pick these up.
The conditioner has the same packaging as the shampoo. Purple, pretty, expensive looking. Seriously, it looks like something I would pay $30, which isn’t far off considering this product is sold at farmers for around $23 which is more that I would expect to pay for a shampoo that I didn’t know much about, so lucky for me I got this from iherb for around $6, which I think is so cheap considering the NZ rrp. Any who, the packaging is so functional, and it is so easy to squeeze product out, and control how much product is actually being released so that’s another things I love.
The conditioner is thick and white in colour, but it’s not creamy and rich like I I was expecting it to be and like most my conditioners are, and I have to say it’s a refreshing change to see a product that is a little different. This conditioner is so thick I can actually throw it from hand to hand and it pretty much holds its shape.. I know, right now your thinking who throws conditioner around in the shower. Well I knew I was going to write a review for BR, so I had to give it a go.
This conditioner does a great job at detangling my hair, and does smell good (although not quite as nice smelling as the shampoo). I don’t find that my hair looks any shiner after using the product, and more recently in fact it’s been giving my hair a slight frizz factor, but this has only been in the last few washes which makes me think this is less a issue of the conditioner, and more the fact that winter is here and my hair is panicking. This product is good, but not as good as the shampoo. However, ill still repurchase it because I do think the products work well together.
So maybe supermodel hair is going a bit far, but I don't think its too far off of the truth. I bought my conditioner when I bought the shampoo, for $7 USD roughly. I laughed when I saw it in Farmers for nearly triple the price at $25.
The bottle of the conditioner matches the shampoo perfectly, a purpley silver ombre to a purpley brown ombre, with the same red and white writing to compliment the bottle. They seriously look like they should be worth more than what I paid, but it can be our little secret.
The conditioner itself is white and creamy, but it is quite thin for a conditioner. I was surprised by this when I first used it, as I felt like I needed more, and then I ended up running out of conditioner. I definitely can't throw it hand to hand like the reviewer below me! When I rinsed it out I felt like my hair wasn't conditioned enough, so I started running it through the lengths and giving it a very minimal rinsing - problem solved!
This claims that it's a deep conditioner, and as I've never had a "deep" conditioner I can't really comment on it, but I do know that it's very lovely, and makes my hair so soft. The smell of the conditioner is similar to the shampoo, vaguely coconutty. I'll definitely be repurchasing!
