I was delighted when BR sent me this as a prize (for writing the 80.000th review!). The prize was a secret and when I opened this gorgeous product I felt very spoiled.
The concept behind the Valeur Absolue range is that they are designed to be mood-changing (for the better). Serenitude is crafted to enhance serenity, tranquility and happiness.
The packaging is gorgeous - a weighty square glass bottle that is simple and elegant, with real amazonite stones floating in the bottom of the perfume itself, which is clear.
This is a warm yet crisp and fresh scent. It's floral, woody and spicy, but refreshing. Because there are spices in the blend (like nutmeg and pink peppercorn), the fragrance tends to apply slightly heavy but settle lighter then last for hours. It's rounded out with rose, which makes it feminine and warm smelling.
I am under huge stress at the moment so I can't say how much the perfume is helping with my serenity and tranquility, but it certainly makes me smile when I spritz it - partly because it's lovely, and partly because I won it from this wonderful site!
This is part aromatherapy, part perfume, and all class. Gorgeous - thanks BR!
Valeur Absolute’s Serenitude is a perfume that takes me on a journey. Its smell is almost like a sea breeze minus the salt and it reminds me of walking on the beach on a tropical island with the wind blowing gently around me.
As a perfume, the scent is not something I typically wear, but I do keep coming back to it because it invokes a response and makes me feel happy and fanciful when I wear it.
The perfume bottle is very much in line with the scent looking like a light blue water with rocks in it. In this case Amazonite stones. While these stones make the Valeur Absolute perfumes distinctive, I also think they possibly make the perfume price more expensive than it needs to be.
In terms of longevity it is fairly standard and in terms of price I think it is a little overpriced.
