I'm currently using this as my night cream. I'm not wowed by it but I'm not hating it either.
My skin is hydrated and it hasn't caused any break outs but when I see 'night concentrate' I think of something with more oomph to it. This feels like a light moisturiser. I think the 'beads' are a gimmic, my skin hasn't changed into more supple hydrated skin. It is just.... Average!
The smell is nice and subtle, very fresh. It isn't irritating around my eye area at all. The packaging is a nice blue sturdy pot. You don't need too much product as it spreads a long way and quickly absorbs.
Overall it does the job but it's not a wonder product. I currently have normal skin, which leads more to dry then oily. I have been prone to break outs due to different night creams but this hasn't done that. I do feel I need a slightly more heavy night cream.
It is only in the past 6 months that I have introduced night creams into my routine, rather than using a standard moisturiser before bed. Since doing so I have noticed my skin is much brighter, plumper, and my morning makeup application is smoother. It's also gives me a lovely 30 second luxury pamper moment before bed.
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate has been a lovely addition to my skincare routine and is very comparable to the high end night creams I had previously been using. The packaging is sturdy and glossy in a stand out aqua shade. The fragrance can be noticed as soon as the product is opened, although it isn't as potent on the skin. It is fresh and light, although I don't know that it would sway me to purchase this product. Inside is a formula that sits between a gel and cream form, with tiny beads filled with Vitamin E. It is reasonably thick like a cream, but lightweight, glossy and fast absorbing like a gel. It is fully absorbed within 3-5 minutes and penetrates deep into the skin like a high end night cream, rather than creating a film on top of the skin. My skin instantly feels hydrated, plump and soothed from the days air conditioning and drying foundation.
The real test is how my skin feels the next morning, and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate certainly performs. My skin is hydrated, smooth, plump and bright. This lasts through my morning cleanser, and I almost feel like I could skip my morning moisturiser. This is my actual skin, not a product sitting on top of it.
Only the tiniest amount of product is needed so I can see that this will last me a long time and the Vitamin E is a total bonus for my acne scarred skin. I use this product every night, although coming into summer I may switch to every second night if my skin becomes oily.
Tips: For oily skin, use this every second night.
