These would have been a godsend had I known about them for my daughter's ballet exams last year! I seriously think the most stressful thing about them is getting the hair to stay looking sleek and held together - these make that so much easier! They have a fantastic grip and once they're in, they're in, so theres no chance of them falling out and the bun getting loose, which is fantastic. The only unfortunate thing is that my daughter has so much hair I need to buy another pack because 3 isn't quite enough for her mane - but that's not really a complaint!

A cute idea. Spinners that are brown. They screw in like a corkscrew or a apple corer lol. it's a ingenious idea. Which works really good and holds the hair in place. Without any shift. I would have never know about these but am glad that they came in our BRBBOX.
Tips: Not twist in too close or they connect and make it hard to remove. But best way to remove is take hair out simple and they fall out.
I was quite skeptical about this product it did not look like it work at all but I tried them for an up do I wanted for a party, and they worked brilliantly, I still will probably use ordinary bobby pins as I am too used to them, but this is a great alternative
These are strong. I haven't mastered anything other then a bun but I'm sure someone more creative then myself would! I wouldn't use them on a day to day basis but the other day my hair tie broke and the did the trick!
I have silky hair and the strands are fine, so my hair doesn't hold bobby pins, hair bands, head bands etc very well. They always fall out. I tried making hair buns a lot of times, but needed almost 25 bobby pins to keep them in place which always resulted in headaches. When I received these spinners in the BRBB, I was very sure that they won't work. Still I made a hair bun using them and I was surprised to see the bun stayed in place for 6 hours! In fact, they were perfectly placed until I decided to remove them. And to top that, it was the most best looking hair bun I have ever made.
They are incredibly simple to use and take out as well. They are also comfortable to wear and doesn't pull hair tight. All in all, easy to use and stylish to wear. One won't regret purchasing it ever!
Tips: Stockpile this stuff.. Its awesome!
I got the spinners as part of the beauty box. If they hadn't been in there I don't think I would have tried this product as it appears to be a bit gimmicky. However, I gave them a go today and they seemed to work fine at holding my hair up in a bun. Taking them out was a problem however, as they had tangled together, I had to get a friend to remove them for me. In the future I will make sure they do not twist into each other when I use them. They did what they said they would and held my hair up better than bobbie pins would have. Don't expect any super structured hairdo to stay with the spinners, but they worked fine for a loose, last minute, bun
Like a lot of others, I received these in the March Beauty Box. I left them sitting on my dresser for a long time, unsure about whether they would really work. Tonight I decided to try them, so I put my hsir into a bun and screwd in one pin. It stayed in place perfectly! I put a second pin in for extra hold and shook my head around (for scientific testing purposes of course!), and the 'do didn't budge! I hoped they would come out easily as I had a bad experience with a roller hair brush when I was younger and nearly had to have my asir cut off! Thankfully, they came out a breeze. I am going to put these in my hair tomorrow for a whole day at work. Wish me luck!
All I can say is I wish I knew about these earlier!!
I got these Bobby Spinners from the October Beauty Vault, and was quite intrigued! I had not seen them before and in the picture they look much more flat than they actually are. In reality the pins are made of the same kind of material normal bobby pins are made of, but each arm/prong is stronger than the normal bobbys because they're tubular (but not hollow) rather than being flat. There are two "arms" per spinner and they wind downwards in a spiral to act basically like a screw.
The way I've been using them is that I wind up my hair into a bun, use one hair tie to hold it in place while I get the spinners, and place each of the spinners on a different area on the bun, angled so that when spun they'll be able to hold on to the hair that isn't in the bun itself.
The results are amazing! Since I got my hair cut in a slightly shaggy style at just above shoulder length, putting my hair in buns has been a pain. But these pins make having my hair in a messy bun possible again, without having to worry about it coming out every time I move.
Not only did these hair clips reduce the effort it took to create elaborate hair styles immensely. They also stood up to the Wellington wind. Absolutely love them.
These are so fantastic! I received mine in the BRBB and thought, what the heck are these... no way they will hold my hair but sure enough, it holds everything in place and it doesn't move a. it!!! I fell really confident usingnthe spinners because everything is held secure and tight. I love that you screw it in and out, kinda weird but perfect! I really like how its not a chore to get them out and you don't have to worry about losing a zillion bobby pins in your hair and finding them on your pillow the next morning!
